Cobalion is taken aback when Calyx first catches its attack on the cannon, nullifying much of the force put into it, and then transforms! Clearly the Iron Will Pokemon has never seen Mega Evolution before. It hardens its gaze and leaps forward again to continue the fight!

Cobalion staggers again, but the glint in its eyes, and the grin on its face shows it enjoys the challenge. It slams its head into Calyx's body. Even if the move's typing isn't advantageous, it will still hurt.

Cobalion is blasted backwards. Though it remains on its feet, it's clear the battle is over. It takes a moment to catch its breath, then approaches Floyd with a small token. It's unclear how, precisely, but somehow holding this token imparts Floyd with the knowledge he seeks. To channel the Steel-Type into (or even out of) a chosen Pokemon (aka: type-shift). The Swords of Justice dip their heads in acknowledgement of Floyd and Calyx's strength before vanishing into the wilderness again.
