Rest or not, the group continues toward the mountain, finally arriving at the base. They can see some sort of rough path up the mountain, but everything else seems calm at the moment.
(Please use the roll20 map and position yourselves however you'd like. The path you can see [The lighter squares] are rough terrain. The other squares are extra rough terrian. Movement wise it's treated as rough terrain, but every time you enter your first square of extra rough terrain for the turn, roll a d6. On a 1 or 2, that square costs double movement. If you do not have enough movment left to pay that, immediately end your movement on that space. On a 1, you also lose a tick of hp.
Chell - 15
Freya - 15
Frank - 13
Ghost - 11
Ryota - 10
Hura - 9
Midna - 5
Norris - 4
Cube - 2)

As the path began to get increasingly mountainous, Frank noticed that Peter's movements weren't nearly as encumbered as everyone else's far more deliberate movement. It seemed Peter was a natural in this terrain.
"Scout ahead Peter, directly down the path. Return for new instructions if you encounter anything."

Terrain wasn't a concern one way or another to Freya, who blew past the Machop and took up further down, where she observed what she could with her own modest senses, relaxing on a jagged outcropping for the time being. 3iyNsmcp2d6 Perception roll.

As they begin to tromp up to the mountain, Midna gradually goes from simple walking to entirely too long skips to simply striding through the air. It wasn't really necessary but it was better than simply floating and looking undignified. "You might want to stay on the path," she jabs, carefully floating over the brambles and loose rock, "Wouldn't want anyone taking a tumble. It took us long enough to get here in the first place."
She strolls along staying with the main group but staying just off the path. The rules didn't apply to her. Of course, falling off the path wouldn't be pleasant. Maybe she would trouble Chell for some of her medicine. Later.

While still feeling a bit banged up from the last encounter Ghost held her tongue as the group made their way up the mountain. The sight of the two husks - golems as the group seemed to refer to them - from earlier more or less marked the start of her demeanor cooling a fair bit. "Hopefully we can get some straight answers after we get up there," She said as she floated by Frank, her voice still friendly enough, but lacking it's typical spirit. It was more professional if nothing else.
As she moved past him though he'd probably be a little surprised at how her form seemed to vanish from sight as she traveled along the path. She was feeling too antsy to just sit back and wait, but wasn't stupid enough to leave herself visible to anything that might be lurking ahead.

Chell had been ignoring her companions for the most part as they travelled, instead focusing on the attacks she'd seen the giant use, trying to ingrain their patterns and style in her mind, so she wouldn't be caught as off-guard as she had been. When they reach their destination, she takes a few moment to observe and remember the mountain's layout and general terrain, trying her best to get as much of an advantage around here as possible. Once she's done this, she jumps up, landing beneath Ghost, and takes a better look around her direct surroundings to check for any potential problems. Cube hurries behind her, ending up floating besides Ghost, who he gives an excited wave to. Unexpectedly - or perhaps completely expectedly, given how these things had gone so far - this new body was proving troublesome even for basic mountain-climbing. Well, what was one to expect, when their horn was almost as large as they were? Elegance and grace? Bah!
In something of a grouchy mood, the chatterbug made its way up the mountain, forced to take the term "one step at a time" perhaps slightly too literally, as he stuck to the slightly-less-treacherous parts of the path.

Everyone starts scaling the mountain, and as soon as everyone moves, the voice appears from thin air again.
"Soul Imprints identified in two locations. Location 1's security code confirmed. Previous Soul Imprints registered as errors. Deleting..."
Two portals open up in the open air above the mountain, and with a well-timed crack of the lightning above you, two HUGE boulders pop out and begin rolling down the mountain!

Calculating how fast the boulders are rolling, Frank figures he can make it, and he dashes past many in the group and around the corner to safety.

"What is she talking about this time?" Midna grumbles to no one in particular. And then the thunder rolls, quite literally in this case. "Oh wonderful. Falling rocks again." She effortlessly sidesteps the bolder before it can roll over her. Her eyes are trained on the....land bound of the group. They might need a little nudge.

Eyeing the rocks with the same level of disdain as the bug she eventually set her eyes on, Freya doubled back towards the slower half of the party, snatching Hura by the horn with her feet and beating her wings furiously to lift him above the worst of the threat, her chest heaving with the strain. Freya flies back and lifts Hura twenty feet into the air.

Chell quickly jumps out of the way, not wanting to risk the boulder going off course, Cube quickly following her.

Busy trudging along the mountainous terrain, unsure of step and a few other things besides, Hura had been at a loss for how to avoid the rather enormous boulders that now careened toward them. Well, until a particular bat intervened. Roused from his especially blue malaise, he chittered, "Aha! Your true colours revealed, you're going to ea-! Eh? O-oh...? Don't drop me!"
While given the opportunity, he would have at least held on, but squirming was a bad idea unless you were being eaten, and his arms couldn't actually reach the top of his horn... So, dangle it was, and dangle Hura did.

The boulders roll past, not hitting anyone. You all think your safe for the moment before you see two portals open below you at the bottom of the mountain. Right in front of the paths of the boulders.
Oh.
It might be time to hustle.

Though a great deal less elegant, composed, or coherent due in part to the weight dangling from her weight interrupting her speech with forced pants, gasps, and grunts Frey nonetheless responded:"I'd sooner let that boulder crush me to paste than drop an ally... noisy insect dream jester or otherwise. Now cease the prattle and be still."
Landing to catch her breath once the worst of it passes, she takes to the sky again, Hura in tow, and soldiers on.

Peter dashes around the corner and out of Frank's sight as the crocodile huffs and puffs, running to keep after his silent companion.

Midna glides along as the bolder goes rumbling past. The sudden appearance of portals at the bottom of the hill didn't bode well but it was just a couple of big rocks. They ought to be able to manage to get past without too much trouble. Getting spread out was the bigger problem but there wasn't much help for it. She settles by the oddly human golem. Best to stick near someone....well something. It would probably protect her.

Given that the options were "struggle, probably fall and definitely squish" or "don't struggle and let Freya do whatever she was doing", and that fatal or not, going squish was a distinctly unpleasant experience... Hura obediently stayed quiet and mostly motionless.
