Setting aside the strange happenings that just... happened, Hura scrambled back up on his stubby feet, and with stubby hands, dusted himself off. Then, gesturing to the sky he declared, "...you're a fish? Huh. Oh, right. We did not come from the sky! We are travelers from other worlds, come to subjugate this realm beneath our iron heel...s! Quake in awe at our might!" Pause for effect... And drop the big voice, "Hello there, Mister Fish! I'm Hura, wish I could shake your hand~"
"Greetings, land fish." Freya groaned, picking herself up from the ground and slapping dust from her chest and wings. "We were quite rudely dumped here from a place that may or may not exist." she inclined her head respectfully. "Freya Crescent. Dragon Knight in reality. Insignificant bat creature here. Do any of you have old skins from reality that you remember?"
The crocodile looks about before locking eyes on the fish. He maintains eye contact as he regains his footing. "Well, if it isn't pleasant to meet friendly faces. I must say, this island so far has not been overly charitable. I'm President Underwood, but here, Frank will suffice. And you two?"
Glad I wasn't awake the first time that happened. She continues to lay on the ground for a moment, to make sure nothing was broken. Whatever evil entity had moved them wasn't exactly the most pleasant to look at. But it's words were confusing. "Why do you think that entity moved us? Did we move too quickly? Or just wander out of bounds?"
It's only after she speaks that she notices the other party. Midna tries to surge to her stubby feet but trips up once more before regaining her footing. She looks over the two newcomers and ends up doubly confused. How did a non-Zora fish survive out of water and was that lightning bottled? This world continued to get ever stranger.
Well regardless of their strange forms, at least the strangers weren't attacking them. Always a plus when meeting someone new. But that didn't mean they were friendly either. "We could ask you the same thing," she snaps at the fish, "It seems like half of everything on this island ends up hostile."

Ugh, never have I wanted a pair of High Fall Boots more... Chell groans and rubs her head as she picks herself up from the ground, while Cube, who hadn't exactly fallen down as gently floated in a downwards manner, hovers over her, a worried look on his face. Once standing, she gives the small candle a reassuring smile, before turning to the new group.
She visibly rolls her eyes at Frank's introduction (not that he can see) and is about to prod Midna before getting a better idea and pushing Cube in front of her slightly, gesturing to the piranha and the... floating lightning bolt thingy. Cube nods (well, bobs up and down) and floats forward a bit, greeting the new pair.
Anybody with a perception roll over twenty would notice a glint of light reflecting off something in a nearby bush... Something perfectly still, perfectly silent, and perfectly curious about everything going on in this glade.
After the previous day's conflict Ghost was feeling incredibly on edge. That thing they fought definitely hadn't been normal, and of the three individuals she'd met one seemingly vanished without a trace, one nearly died, and the last one... Well, she just seemed to freak out for no reason and then vanish without a trace. And while Ryota's rather serious injuries took precedence, she still felt quite guilty about not going out to look for Norris.
She was in a rather somber mood for most of the morning as the group formed up to head on out... only for five creatures to fall from the sky and crash before them. She tensed for a moment... before the blue beetle started going into a rather impassioned speech, followed by a super casual hello.
As she took everyone in, her eyes were quickly focused on the speed-talking candle that addressed her. "It's nice to finally see some friendly faces. And no, I'm not Lightning. I'm Ghost, and it's great to meet you," She replied, trying to muster up a bit of her wit.
Her eyes quickly turned back to Freya however, noticing what she said. "Reality...? I take it you all aren't from around here either then," She replied.
"It seems each of us were stolen from a different world. Several of us are human, but others, not so. Not that it matters much, but are you two human? Also, approximately when were you taken? We met a madman that I'm relatively sure was human at one point, who has been on this island for quite some time, so this is apparently not a recent phenomena. In any case, Ghost, can you introduce your friend? Why do you suppose the 'force,' whatever it is, dropped you two on your own, and kept the four of us and the rabbit tagalong together?" Frank ponders as he speaks, pacing back and forth. When he reaches the point of emphasis in each sentence, his hands tend to speak along with him."We have reason to believe we might find answers on the mountain. We were heading there before we got dumped here. Would you care to accompany us?"
"Hey, we've only attacked when something's attacking us! Or pretty obviously going on a killing spree!" exclaims Ryota. "So as long as you don't do that, we'll be cool with you guys." He glances at Frank. "Yeah, I was human. The last thing I remember is getting those rings I ordered in the mail." His expression softens. "My name's Ryota, by the way."
Mulling that thought around for a moment Ghost pondered how she should play this situation. On the one hand, it wasn't like friends were an abundant resource. On the other though this sudden appearance just seemed a bit too well timed... Still, Ryota seemed to be willing to give them a chance. Besides, she was not looking forward to dragging Ryota around. "We ran into an axe-weilding psycho yesterday who summoned shadow-people. Teaming up might be for the best," She replied, before glancing uneasily over towards Ryota. "However I'm not sure if we -- I can. Yesterday, after that fight one of our friends... Well, she seemed to freak out and ran off into the forest. Ryota was pretty messed up after the battle ended, so I couldn't exactly run after her... but I'm not sure I'm comfortable just leaving her out there."
"Hunting for a lost friend? Ooh, what an exciting proposition!", Hura declared with no small amount of cheer, "So how are we making teams? I may not be a genius, but I'll bet Ryota and Ghost have more sense than to split up and go with complete strangers~"
A small thankful smile appeared on Ghost's face at the offer, honestly a bit surprised by how forthcoming this group seemed. At least on the surface they didn't seem to have any ulterior motive, and given the situation she was in that was probably the best assurance she was gonna get for these newcomers.
"Her name's Norris, and she's a small silver beetle about yeh high, and given how aggressive she sounded when she ran off... yeah, I guess she is dangerous," She said, sighing a little bit. "You don't have to help me, but you'd have no idea how thankful I'd be. I'm also pretty sure she wasn't human before she showed up here... I'm not 100% sure though. "
At Hura's question a light smirk crossed Ghost's lips. "You guys pretty much outnumber us almost 3 to 1, and since none of you seem to have killed each other I'm willing to take a leap of faith you're all on the level. Also I was a ghost before I showed up here, so it's pretty much what all my friends call me." She said, adding that last one since she noticed the emphasis the beetle put on her name. It was a pretty weird name, she knew.
Well the two seemed to be friendly, even if one claimed to be the oddest looking ghost she'd ever seen. And it wasn't like that fishy Ryota could even chase them anyway. The prospect of a missing person out there hiding sounded familiar. It wasn't like she had just went through the same thing with Link the other week or anything. Midna lets out a sigh. Why did things seem to circle back so often?
"Well then if we're all on the same page, I guess we split up. I'd better go with Chell," she says gesturing to the mute rabbit, hiding behind Cube, "The bunny not the candle. She's not exactly one for conversation. Still, I don't know how we'll get much searching done if you have to flop around to get anywhere." Midna's last words come out harsher than she intended but really, how was he going to get around?
Norris is in the center of the group, a strangely runed stone in her mouth. She's sitting regally on a bare patch of ground perfectly nonplussed by the situation, eyeing a nearby leaf bemusedly. A creaking, high-pitched yawn about as loud as a rustling leaf too perfectly coincides with the first searching glance a 'mon takes in looking for Norris. It seems, truly, like she had always been there. A white, frothy foam has developed on her metallic surface, particularly her joints. The foam looks incredibly soft and delicate, forming a mane around her neck and a dramatic poof at the tip of her tail. After a moment, her eyes flutteringly droop as if resisting sleep.

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?

Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
