Hardly had Midna spoken, than the lost Norris had appeared in the middle of the group. She raises a paw to rest on her face. I really should pay more attention. How Noris had snuck up on all of them wasn't really important. She might have childlike speaking abilities but at least they wouldn't have to search for her.
"If you never left, then why were they looking for you," Midna asks resignedly. She doubts she'll actually get a straight answer. "Right so the mountain. Think we can check it out now or is there something else right here we need to find," she intones derisively. Why did it feel like she was forgetting something? She was tempted to pry into the metal beatle's head but wasn't quite sure why. It wasn't like the metal monster would know anything...
With a flat, passionless tone 'Hoodah' muttered, "...not quite. Maybe if you didn't try to gargle so much...? Wait, but why do you three get normal-? Bah, whatever!"
More at his usual, excited level, he changed topics, "Right, the mountains! Only one way to find out." Regarding their three new friends, he asked, "You two only misplaced your frothy friend, right? Now that they found you again, we can get back to business?"
Norris sighs, exasperated, down her nose at the tiny Midna
"They wasn't looking, helf Minda. Hadn't started. Know cause Norris were here the whole time."
Norris rocks herself back and forth, turning slowly towards Frank
Norris nods agreeably at this suggestion, crunching a small, mundane stone off the ground for emphasis. She picks up her precious stone and makes her way over to the fish, slips into the little harness, and sets off towards the big rock.
Ghost was flummoxed when Norris just kind of... appeared in front of them. How... wait, what? Why was... Then... Huh!? It was pretty obvious Ghost was having a bit of trouble trying to figure this out.
"B-but... Norris, why did you run off like that? And if you followed us around, why in the world were you hiding from us?" She asked, honestly sounding a little hurt.
Midna was starting to get annoyed by Norris. The beetle clearly didn't have much of a concept of others feelings. But more importantly, "My name is Midna not Minda. Wait...how do you know my name?" She glares at the shiny bug. Could she be reading the minds of others as well?
As Norris throws the orb in the air, those paying attention notice it begins glowing as it's thrown, brightly as hits the apex and begins descending. It's shine is really bright, almost as if hitting the ground is going to release the energy like a grenade. But when Norris catches it the light quickly fades.
"...what kind of gem is that?" asks Ryota, sounding interested. "It's definitely got something embedded in it to make it sparkle like that!" He looks around at the others. "I'm fine with heading towards the mountain, I guess," he says. "Do any of you have a tank or something?"
While Ghost definitely felt like something was wrong with Norris, she kept her lips sealed for the moment. She didn't exactly have enough information to act on, but given the strange foam that was developing around her, and the strange glint from that stone... Well, she was going to be keeping an eye on her for now. Until then, she'd just give Frank a nod. "It doesn't appear as though we'll need to go looking for my friend anymore. I think we're good to head out," she said, giving him a grin. There was a hint of unease in that grin though.
It takes a day's walk but things seem relatively quiet for your group (curious). You all make your way south from your new location (for most of you, anyway) and head toward the mountain. It takes a day's travel to make it close, but as you reach the base, the treeline ends. A very extended plain circles the mountain and the land looks... scorched. The plain is very big, so there's really no sneaking to the mountain either.
Those who remember the discussion with Ember Shell and Handsome Jack know what's probably next, if they continue to approach.
"I'm guessing we're reaching the spot Ember-Shell warned us of. Where the Guardians attack. I hope you three are good in a fight, because I am guessing we're likely to have one soon. He also said the larger our group, the more of these guardians appear."
Since Norris seemed very intent on hauling the fishy Ryota, Midna shoves her concern to the back of her mind. It was getting rather crowded back there with so many questions popping up. She instead stays quiet for the march to the distance mountain. Somehow the trek isn't quite so tiring as she'd thought it would. She's practically floating along.
"I'm sure they're nothing to worry about," she says dismissively, "The Mad Man was unhinged and you saw how easily the ants were overcome. A stiff breeze could have toppled the lot." She tries to hide the concern she has. After all what could a fish do in a fight? "We'll be fine."
Ghost stayed relatively silent during the walk, her mind telling her that something wasn't right with Norris. Sure, the way she was foaming all over herself was weird... but then again, she was a walking lightning rod. For all she knew, this could be normal for... whatever she was at the moment. Despite the long journey, her mind seemed to snap to attention by the mention of them reaching... some place? Who was this Ember-shell anyway?
"Good in a fight...? Yeah, I've been in my fair share of scraps, and I've been in a couple of battles since showing up here," She replied, pausing for a moment before answering as images of thousands of robots exploding around her with lasers flying everywhere traveled across her mind. Granted, she was feeling a bit less spry than she had before... Maybe all those chemical enhancements they put her brain through weren't working their magic anymore?
A sigh escaped her lips after that. Man, she missed all the explosions. And the cozy feeling of settling her astral form into a walking weapon of mass destruction.
Frank takes a step out into the open field. As he walks there's a moment of pure silence. Everyone tenses waiting for something to show up. But nothing ever does. At least not physically. A woman's voice, booming over the landscape but very pleasant rings out.
"Please wait for scanning. *Pause* Scanning complete. Soul imprint identified and confirmed. Please identify security code delta now."
Midna was glad that Frank was once again leading the way. She'd tried that once and gotten spiders for her trouble. The suddenly present voice has here peering around quickly for its source but none is readily apparent. And what was it even asking them? She returns Frank's shrug with one of her own, more than a little lost.
She looks around the rest of the small group and queries, "Do any of you know what it's talking about?" It comes out as a question rather than an outright demand. "Or who's doing the talking?"

Hi there! I'm Seya, a 24 y.o. editor in Atlantic Canada. I enjoy writing, reading, webcomics, art, worldbuilding, and video games (I can talk for ages about SotC and Monster Hunter...). Although I'm relatively new to playing Pokémon Tabletop via forum, I've been putting together sites like this for a long time, and I'm really excited to work with you all to create an awesome environment for Pokémon roleplay. While my job here is primarily to keep the site running smoothly, I'm always happy to chat, offer advice, and deal with any problems you run across. Let me know if I can be of any help. Inbox is always open! Cheers! xx :)
Hello! I'm Sly, the East Coast mod representative! I'm a 22 year old tax accountant who is exactly as exciting as that sounds, I'm sure. PTU is my major hobby, I run several games (of which the Geode games are my pet project), and I read a disgusting amount of fanfiction. I've been a member of the community for about a year, consider myself more GM material than player material, and am dedicated to helping make your time here enjoyable! If there's ever anything you need, don't be afraid to send me an owl! (Or a PM, I guess, if that works better for you.)
Hey there! I’m DataNinja, the West Coast representative. I'm the most active Staff member on here, so if you need something, try giving me a poke first, and I'll see if I can help sort out your problem. Always happy to help!
(1 May 2015): "For our first pack, we’re focusing on utility character options. Hopefully, this will give you both interesting insights into our dev process as we make changes over time and another focused avenue to give us feedback on what you’d like to see out of PTU."
People are out there, yes, but if you're looking for a game, sorry to say that things seem to be winding down overall. There's basically been... 3 games in the last 2 years, none of which got off the ground.

It's very slow, yes. You'll probably finish working on your game before one pops up here, and if you create a recruitment for it you can expect to be swarmed with applicants.

New games seem to open up slowly here, but if new people are still welcome, I don't mind waiting around (or working on my own). It looks like there's some useful stuff to browse in the meantime.

Keep an eye on the recruitment area of this website. They're rare nowadays, but any new games that crop up will show up there. If it's a live game you want though, you're outta luck.

but how else do i find games then?
Nov 28, 2019 6:17:00 GMT
Sounds to me like they weren't a group you'd want to be part of anyway.

i wanted to join a living server on roll20 to learn the system but they ignored my application for 2 weeks then blocked me

Basically, GMs post recruitments in the appropriate section, and then players apply to the open games. Unfortunately, there has been a rather... small amount of games posted lately, but there's one currently recruiting right now.
