Midna pushes aside her worries for the moment, hadn't she mentioned the back of her mind was getting full, and turns to the state of the former enemies. "They might not be puppets. They might just have sent the minds back to wherever they were from. Probably simpler to make a blank slate anyway."

"Perhaps, but I can't shake this weird feeling that when I picked up the orb, this creature 'bonded' to me somehow. I can't explain it, but I feel like I just need to find the 'on switch' and this thing will perk up."

Frank rubs the spot on his hand where the rune once shown to little effect on the strange creature in front of him, before chuckling. "Oh, I was just thinking how this one's face reminds me of Peter Russo, one of my old colleagues. He wouldn't listen to me either, and it wound up being the death of him. Well, Peter, seems you've followed me into this world as well one more," he says, regarding the squat Machop. Frank grimaces and yells, "Move, damn it, do something!"

Ever since their latest foe had been felled, Hura had been more or less silent. Not because of any heavy thoughts, or to recover from the fight, of course. Not even to contemplate what they would do if one of the other gods had brought them here. Never mind that none he knew of were that powerful, or that dealing with a cooperative one was troublesome enough. No, none of that was particularly relevant to the insect.
Although calling this a game had taken his neutral demeanor and turned it to a confused one. This was a lot of work for a simple game... And a youngling's game at that? 'Don't get stomped on, eaten or caught in the crossfire' was already the only game those things needed... Well, maybe their worlds were all just that different? The human realm had been a nice place, maybe these other human realms were nicer still! Yeah, that worked well enough.
Once that matter had been resolved, not realizing just how long he'd been lost in his thoughts, Hura watched Frank and the metal bug with their prizes. With the distinct impression that the croc wasn't as frustrated as his yell might suggest, Hura volunteers, "He~ey, if he won't listen to words or orders, maybe we should see if the bond works on a simpler level? I've seen plenty of automatic powers, maybe this's one that you can't activate like that?" Looking up at their companion, he finishes with a serious tone, "Why don't we attack you and see if the dumb muscle intervenes?"

When Frank yells, it finally does something! It takes a few steps to it's left, and stops.
yaaaay?

"Well hot damn, it needed some coercive encouragement! You have to name the things to get them to listen Norris! Peter, get over here."

The confused cat regards the situation carefully for a long, long time before coming up completely blank. She nods to affirm Frank's statement, one of the few she's been able to parse, and thinks long and hard about what to name the creature.
"Broomsweeper," Norris says to the stick-wielding toy doll.
"Sweep broom."

The Timburr looks at Norris, and 'sweeps' it's wooden weapon as if it's a broom, and begins sweeping the grass.

"They're golems, too." Freya frowned, watching the veiny creature do as it's told.
"Of a different color. If they've no will of their own. Is this how these creatures function in these stories, or fantasies, or whatever madness you lot know them from in your homes?"

"No, I suspect this is an aberration. Perhaps these two were both like us as not part of this world, and after our deaths, this... husk is left behind?"

Midna smirks at Hura's suggestion to test the creature's attachment to Frank. Cute, but making enemies would be such a bother. The smile fades as the creature moves and then Norris' begins to 'sweep' the grass. "They're odd golems if that's what they are. It's hard to say. I never really messed with them myself but most of them were made for a specific task. Orders and skin typically weren't included. More rocky obedience." She thinks for a moment at Farnk's comment, "They might be just husks. Or maybe just easily controlled."

Norris grins and walks both around the creature and under their legs as if deeply inspecting it. Pleased that her orders are so simply and cleanly followed, Norris tells the creature to "Stop" and hunkers down to contemplate what might be good to do. She gazes about, wondering...

The creature immediately stops at Mrs Norris' command.

Ryota blinks. "Huh, it understands the meaning of 'sweep broom' even though it doesn't have an actual broom. That's pretty advanced, isn't it? You hear a bunch of stories about robots messing up because they don't understand the true meaning of their orders."

"Perhaps when given a specific order, they have capacity to understand intent? In any case, we should move on. A short mountain climb, and this will all hopefully be nothing more than an odd dream."
Frank orders Peter to follow him, and stakes a path leading closer to the mountain's edge.

Not altogether interested in the specifics of the Golems, Hura volunteers, "Maybe they understand because their owners, or whatever being made them, can understand them. Anywho, I don't think it matters. They work and that's that." Muttering after, not quite inaudibly, "This is all pretty intricate for a dream, though. Especially a created one..."
Following that statement, Hura follows their fearless leader ever closer toward the mountain.

Norris nods approvingly at Broomsweeper's work and smiles.
"Follow Headmistress Norris now. Us go mountain."
Norris falls in line behind Frank.

Freya eyed the creature with the big stick suspiciously before falling in line with everyone else.

Midna is tempted to agree with Frank. The mountain probably did hold answers. The golems might be unsettling but they were still tools. Probably. She glances at Chell. The mute rabbit hadn't had anything to say about the 'ribits', as she called them. Some sort of bad memories? Still it couldn't hurt to check that they actually were. She heads after the others and tries to stay in range of the stick wielding golem. If they were capable of monitoring themselves, it would be better to snoop on the girl's creature than Frank's. Hopefully she'd be able to find a less discerning mind than Chell's. Focus maybe RSFzYQw43d6 3d6
