Chell begins to bound her way to the computer, and the machines in that quadrant whir to life! She's attacked with more static blasts as well as the two in the corners seem to shock her right in her leg muscles, slowing her down! Oh no! Good Boy was demanded to charge ahead, and pays for it! Two blasts to the chest! Midna floats a bit into the right side, and one of the white-arc connected machines begins glowing VERY brightly. Wouldn't you know it? These things activated once Midna got close too. She honestly should have expected this but, well, she was being too hasty. The sudden blaze of light caught her off guard, causing her to fumble to the floor with a squeak. It was more surprise than pain. "Back back back," Midna mumbles to herself as she stumbles back. "We should..." Whatever else she was going to say is interrupted by Norris's crashing of metal on metal. Well, the direct approach had worked before. "Just try and Chell safe while she does...whatever she's doing." A familiar glow settles over the party again. Maybe this time it would be of use. Hey look Light Screen again. 2 Blessing things. Resist Special Damage.

While surprisingly Hura was no stranger to eating painful projectiles for the sake of someone more important, he wasn't about to go off on a fool's errand. That is, this body had to way to redirect attacks like that, and he personally lacked the punch to break them, so~ Time to be useful elsewhere...Joining in with their Cautious Leader and his dull minion, Hura sized up the immobile shocky machine and cleaved at it! Hura (shifts and) uses Fury Cutter on the adjacent machine. AC3 - AZ0YMmtM1d20 DB6 - 2d6+18 Physical Bug damage 1d20·2d6+18

"It's unlikely we could stop them all at this point." Freya sighed, hovering near Midna. "I wish we had a way to know more about all these strange machines. You wouldn't happen to be mechanically inclined, would you?" As she spoke, she beat her wings in a strangely specific, almost rhythmic way, content for now to observe the carnage unfolding. Freya hovers near Midna and uses the Dancer provided "Wyvern" Dance - +1 to Special Attack and Speed.

The smashing commences, but no machine is destroyed! They begin to fire back! Meanwhile, Chell tries to ignore the uncomfortable draining shots from her machines and looks at the computer. It's sticking out of a panel that looks to be on the floor next to it. (Maybe some dunce left it open, or a previous explorer made it this far?) On the screen you see, well the layout of the room! And each machine in the room, with stats like power, optimization, and such next to each one. There's a list of clickable options at the bottom, or a text box allowing free text entry. It looks like the console itself is unlocked somehow (Lucky you!), and all the options can be used. Options: Grid Layout 1 Grid Layout 2 Grid Layout 3 Defensive Layout Aggressive Layout Chaos Layout A text box allowing free entry (You need some good tech rolls to be able to command the system from here)Static 1 and 2 vs Chell! Chell quickly jumps over most of the sparks headed at her, barely interrupting her investigation at all. Looking at the screen, she smirks slightly. Nice clear text. Should be easy enough to figure out. Power usage, current configuration... Ah, there it is, options! Let's not make this any more aggressive than it already is... Let's try switching the grid option up... Chell, never one to over complicate matters, picks the second option, clicking the Grid Layout 2 button.

With decidedly mixed feelings over being ignored by that machine, Hura, too, continues with the smashy-fest. That ought to teach it! Sort of. Attacking the same device as Frank unless its destroyed by my tick. In which case, shift down 2 and help Norris smash theirs in~

How wonderful. Everyone had decided to attack the machines that were 'away' from Chell. At least the rabbit seemed able to ignore it... more or less. But that sill left Midna with the uncomfortable prospect of helping Chell herself. She tries to start shaking apart the Southern paired one with minimal success. Chell could let them know if she wanted something in particular. Confusion on the Lower Yellow Lazer machine. Confuses 19+ AC 2 vs JIVJJNXW1d20 2d6+25 Special Psychic Damage

The combined assault by most of the party manages to topple two of the machines! Just as the console in front of Chell reads that it's confirmed her request. Yay! The white arcs on the right side of the room stay the same. Hmm, seems that's the same setting among the two she's picked so far. Down below her, the brawl falls silent as the other arcs do not re-connect to eachother. Looks like we got a winner, and maybe a setting it can't do now that the two front ones are destroyed! Good for- "South Quadrant energy pylons detecting sufficient nearby pylons for reconnection. In 20, 19, 18..."Oh. Well, they seem to be charging back up but it seems right this very moment you've all earned a reprieve. Hooray! Well except for Chell. Her room turns a very bad shade of red as two arcs of electricity fly toward the bun bun! Chell grunts as she takes the brunt of two electric shocks, a shimmering light appearing around her as she is hit by the second attack, shielding her partially, before she quickly backflips out of the range of the pylons, into the safe spot. There, she rather decisively points at one of the pylons for Cube to attack, hard. She is not a happy bunny. As Cube fires of a whirling vortex of fire at one of the machines, she takes care to observe how the attack moves. One never knew when they might run into something else that could do the same thing... Chell uses up one charge of Light Screen to resist the second attack. Chell jumps out of this room and into the safe space. Chell uses Focused Training as an order on Cube. +1 on AC checks and +2 on Skill Checks for one round. Chell spends 1 AP to use Chronicler to make a Record of Fire Spin. Cube uses Fire Spin on the upper Red-Charged Pylon (The upper one of the two that just hurt Chell). AC2: XtnGJili1d20+1, DB6: 2d6+20 Special Fire Type Damage, target is trapped in a Vortex. 1d20+1·2d6+20

Midna queries the rabbit before fumbling to reach her mind so the other woman could actually respond. Midna doesn't stand idle but sends another rending blast at the same machine that Cube was aiming for. Power in numbers or something to that effect. Maybe then they could let their mechanically inclined companion to take a more relaxed look. Trying to maintain the connection to Chell proves too much to multitask at the moment and the blast instead warps a section of the floor. A pity.
