Amber's gaze peers into the darkness for a second, a bit hesitant, before turning her attention back to the smaller creature's hand. She slowly extends her own hand, palm out, unsure. She notes where it's looking and says, softly, "This is Topaz. He's one of my friends. Cecil is my friend too--I don't think he meant to hurt you, you just scared him."
She glances around the vent, curiously. "Do you live here?" She's not actually sure how human the creature is, despite it's shape, or how much it understands, but she hopes that the calm chatter will keep it from getting skittish, at least.

Christine relaxes a little bit at the fact that the woman is at least mostly human. Both in the fact that it likely means that she'll have relatively human physiology (as opposed to something like Joe's Grimer, which she was worried she was going to kill the first time she tried using medication on it), and also because something that human being a Pokémon would just be incredibly unnerving. "Sorry, Cecil," she says, as Clement fails to assist with lifting the woman. "If we had to move patients back home, there'd usually be someone else helping. Clement helped me with Marissa, but I guess he's tired now."She winces after Cecil helps position the woman, and gets sprayed in the face. She should probably look at that after, that didn't look hygienic at all. But, that, combined with the fever, meant that this was pretty severe. "We probably shouldn't move here from here," she says to Cecil. "Both because of time, and it probably wouldn't be too good for her system. Would you mind making sure that... if whatever made those webs is still around, that it doesn't interrupt me. I'm going to do the best I can."
She idly registers Amber talking in the background, but, given that it doesn't sound urgent, or directed towards her, she doesn't pay it much heed, and instead pulls out some medical supplies, and hopes that she can counteract whatever's causing the problem... Using First Aid Expertise on her, healing 1 injury, all HP, and all Status Conditions.
Rolling Med Edu to see what I can figure out, and/or for any check I might need to make, spending an AP. And skill Monkeying after a disappointing first roll: 27.

Cecil wiped the foul spatter from his face with his sleeve, a slight gag reflex triggering from the proximity of the smell of the stuff alone. It was already on him, nothing he could do about that really. "Hilow, come here, give Christine some light." Cradling the girl against his front still, the greaser kept his attention on the vent, bathed in the soft green glow of the Skrubing while Christine gave her shots and dressed any apparent wounds. Something about all of it stood out to Cecil though.
Pokemon only bothered with clothes if they were told to, at least as far as Cecil could tell. Most of them went naked or close to it, even the humanshape ones back at Clearwater. Cecil was pretty solidly sure that nothing would willingly eat whatever this shit was that he'd rubbed from his face, human or otherwise. It smelled so strongly he could practically taste it. Maybe this wasn't a 'Joy' after all? A genetic research facility turned sex palace didn't strike him as the sort of place that clothes would really be valued.
"I don't think she's from around here." He muttered quietly, using two fingers to swab as much of the green substance as he could from the girl's mouth, before administering a dose of Pokerus Purgative to her.

Bunnie watches intently as Cecil and Christine take care of the... Person(?) in front of them. She wishes she had brought a towel, if only so Cecil could get more of the wretched gunk off of him. He was going to have to clean up again next time they were in Purewater. As she watches the patient, her mind wanders to Joe and, of course, Genechildren. This almost happened to her, or worse even. She idly strokes the Pokeball containing Joe's Grimer before snapping back to reality.
"Oh, I uh, I found something. Again. I'm getting half decent at this whole thing I think."
She holds out the Key Card she had found when Christine was helping Cecil.

Christine, with help from the diagnostic tools in your Vault-Dex, you're able to determine that this poor girl has been heavily infected with pokerus. It looks like she's very close to the threshhold that was described to you before. It will take over half your stock of purgatives to help her, but you're fairly certain that once they're in her system it'll help expunge any of the remaining source source of the infection as well, possibly by inducing vomiting. Even with your standard first aid techniques, she still hasn't regained consciousness. Vault Dex Diagnosis Patient Pokerus levels critical, approaching 100% saturation levels. Current saturation level 96% and climbing... Cecil, digging in the woman's mouth, you come away with more of the green goop, as well as a small capsule that appears to have been stuck on one of her teeth. It's pliable and slimy-feeling even through the goop. After a few more swipes, you've managed to get her mouth as clear as you can... though you nicked your finger on one of her teeth in the process... Pokerus infection wj6CPejy3d6Bunnie, in the better light from the Skrubbing, you're able to see that the keycard is very much like the one you found that let you all into the vault initially, except it's stamped with a bronze star as well. Amber, inside the vent, the little creature very carefully leans forward, and mimics your actions, placing a cool white three-fingered hand into your own. It's covered in a flexible chitin of some kind, and the claw tips prickle against your skin slightly, but it doesn't seem to be interested in harming you.. When you ask it if it lives here, it seems to actually consider the question, as if puzzling out the meaning, before nodding. 3d6

As she notices the keycard, and spots the star, a thought occurs.
"Hey I'm pretty sure this one has some kind of extra clearance or something too. Like, can get us in to places the basic one wouldn't be able to get us."

"It'll take a lot," Christine says, half to herself, "but I think I can get it all out of her system. It'll be close, though." She gathers up the appropriate amount, wincing internally at how much of her stock that took, before getting it into the girl's system, and keeping an eye on the Vault Dex's diagnostics.
Looking at the slowly shrinking pile, she glances up at Cecil, and mentions, "While you're sitting there, you should check yourself for Pokérus. She was almost entirely gone, and I'm not sure how contagious she was, or is, or could have been." She pauses, making sure the girl's number is still going down, and takes a moment to check her own biometrics. It would be really bad if in purging her, they had both gotten contaminated to similar levels...

When Kat leaves the hall to check on the rest of the team, she cringes at what she finds. "Hell, s'that bird even still alive?" she asks, eyeing the girl from the cocoon warily. Cecil and Christine looked adamant about helping the girl though, so Kat just shrugged and kept out of their way, moving along to check on Amber and Bunnie in turn.
"Either of you two figure anything else out?" She scuffs her boots along the floor, trying to ignore the rank smells. "Got a... whassitcalled. Tape thing, here. Might be good for us to watch it, yeah? Was in some buried dead guy's hand. At least. He seemed more dead than her, time-wise, from what I could tell."

While he's clearing the woman's mouth of the foul smelling whatever-it-is, Cecil's hand jerks just slightly but he takes efforts to keep his face a calm mask. It was just a little scrap, the doll must have a broken tooth from trying to fight off whatever stuffed her full, but it burned and he was quickly feeling less well himself. There was a lot to pay attention to, but the biometrics light set on his VaultDex had moved from a solid healthy green to amber and had begun blinking.
Down here, they had perfected and cultured Pokerus. Had been looking for a way to change up the game at the cost of people's lives. They had done what the Gene Children were still doing. Same insanity for a different caste of people, and part of it really pissed him off. Whether their 'Jane Doe' pulled through or not, Cecil was putting an end to whatever orchestrated the last intelligent remnants of this place.
"Twenty six percent saturated and stable." The greaser replied as though commenting on the weather. "Trust me, Cecil knows how to worry about Cecil." Why the fuck am I sticking my neck out for some girl I ain't never talked to? His brow furrowed as he parsed a particular train of thought and a wave of nausea and heat rolled through his body. "Got.. Joe on the mind again I guess." I -did- have Amber go tampering with my brain. Ain't like this is so bad... just really inconvenient. One of his thumbs gently drew along the girl's cheekbone and through her sideburns to stroke her ear.
"We're probably going to have to take the vents if we want to get to utilities, but they're occupied." Cecil commented to Kat, Amber, and Bunnie. "Card probably goes to the Overseer's office or their research areas. Those were always super off limits back home." Didn't so much as look up.

Amber doesn't miss the pause or the response, and there's a moment where she stares in wonder at the girl, thoughts racing back to the burly pokerus victim back in town. Was this the sort of thing pokerus could do, too? She gazes down at the dangling limbs, the peering eye in the girl's abdomen, and swallows.
"I used to live somewhere like this," She finally says, nodding to herself. "But we left, because we needed to help everyone. I kind of miss it, but I have friends with me who keep me company, so it's not so bad. And I've made new friends, too!"
She nuzzles down into Topaz's ears, earning several twitches as the yellow mouse squirms and flicks its ears in response.
"Do you want to be my friend? You can meet everyone else, if you want. They won't hurt you, if I tell them you're friendly too. But you don't have to, if you're scared--I know they're kind of loud." She glances away from the vent at that, peering over at Cecil and Christine's progress with the discovered woman.

The pink-haired woman's chest heaves for a few moments as the purgatives go to work... before she begins vomiting. Cecil has just enough time to recognize the signs in order to turn her head away from himself and the others, while still managing to support her weight. More of that thick green slime is expelled from her stomach as she heaves, runny with bile. After about a full minute she finally hacks and coughs, having seemingly run out of anything in her stomach to throw up. ȶɛɥɜɦɧɜɡɘȓɡɢɧɜɖɘɦȓɔȓəɘɪȓɣɨɡɖɧɨɥɘɗȓɖɔɣɦɨɟɘɦȓɜɡȓɧɛɘȓɠɜɫȡșɡɕɦɣȮȓɆɛɘȓɥɘɖɢɚɡɜɭɘɦȓɧɛɘɠȓɔɦȓɖɢɡɧɔɜɡɠɘɡɧȓɔɠɣɨɟɘɦȓɧɛɔɧȓɔɥɘȓɨɦɘɗȓɜɡȓɧɛɘȓɠɘɗɜɖɔɟȓɕɔɬȓɕɔɖɞȓɛɢɠɘȓɧɢȓɛɘɟɣȓɔɗɠɜɡɜɦɧɘɥȓɠɘɗɜɖɜɡɘɦȓɧɛɔɧȓɔɥɘȓɣɔɥɧɜɖɨɟɔɥɟɬȓəɢɨɟȓɧɔɦɧɜɡɚȓɕɨɧȓɧɛɔɧȓɖɔɡȚɧȓɕɘȓɜɡɝɘɖɧɘɗȓɢɥȓɖɢɡɩɘɥɧɘɗȓɧɢȓɣɜɟɟȓəɢɥɠȯɕɥȱè Her eyes flutter as she finally begins to return to consciousness, revealing eyes that are a brilliant blue. Almost inhumanely so. Coughing harshly, she manages to croak out "Who?" before going back to dry heaves as the purgatives continue their work. Inside the vent, the little spider-girl(?) seems entranced by Topaz, especially the way his ears flick back and forth. She reaches down with her hand, and attempts to pet the little electric mouse. His ears flatten slightly, but Amber's lack of fear helps ease his own instincts, and the Pikachu submits to being petted very gently. She seems to be listening intently to Amber's words, though the young woman isn't sure if she's actually understanding them all, or if the cadence is soothing. But she certainly seems intrigued by what Amber is saying... It is at this point that Kat sticks her head into the vent. Thanks to her own goggles, she's clearly able to make out the arachnid figure huddling close to Amber, who looks up sharply when the wild-haired young woman comes into view, giving off a sound that could best be described as a whimpering chirrup. Whatever it is, it looks like it might be getting close to engaging fight or flight instincts...

Christine's thankful at Cecil's quick reaction time, because, even if it was hypothetically harmless, she still wouldn't relish being thrown up on. There's a tense minute, where she's not able to do anything, besides wait and see what would happen, but, eventually the woman settles down.
She makes a mental note of the ampules, especially as something to possibly ask about, before turning back to face the woman. She inwardly has a bit of a flinch of surprise at the bright blue eyes - far, far brighter than the ones that look back at her whenever she peers in a mirror - but relaxes slightly as she registers the fact that the whole process seems to be working. Things continue to improve, as the woman actually manages to speak.
"I'm Christine," she replies, simply. "I'm a doctor, and I'm trying to help you." She lets that sink in for a moment, before continuing. "If you're up to answering, how do you feel? I've got quite a few more questions... but those can wait. Right now, I'm just trying to make sure you pull through. Things are looking much brighter than they were even a few minutes ago, though." She tries to keep a reassuring tone - even though the entire situation is far less optimal than she would like - and just keeps an eye on the girl as she processes the Purgative. She had a lot, after all...

Amber giggles at the petting, pleased with how well they're getting along. The sudden worrying noise makes her turn her head, and she notices Kat with only a small, vague sense of worry.
"Kat!" She says cheerfully. "I made a friend!"
She glances at the small spider girl, tilting her head and noting the tensing up. "Don't worry, this is one of my friends," She tries to say reassuringly. "She helps us, because it's scary outside the vault. But she's nice, and she likes..."
Amber hesitates. "She likes pokemon," She finally says, thinking back on Kat's actions. She isn't actually sure that's what this girl is--or if she's still human enough to not count. Topaz, for his part, pouts a bit at the sudden lack of attention and pushes his head back against the nearest petting hand.

Cecil smiles warmly as the woman's eyes flutter open, that stunning, beautiful lustrous blue. "Cecil, I'm the guy that found you. Gotta say you're the luckiest butterfly today." His slight fingers brushed along her bangs, both checking the state of her fever and carrying a tender bearing about the contact. When she began to vomit, he held her hair back away from her face, and kept her head angled away from himself and Christine. "There's a bottle of pop for you to get that taste out of your mouth when you're done, I know it sucks right now, but you're in good hands."
While she rested between bouts of gagging and puking, Cecil eased her to lay prone in a clean spot on the floor beside Christine, and handed the medic a bottle of soda pop he'd been saving for a special occasion. "Might not sit well on her stomach, but a rinse and a spit might help her feel a little better. I'm going to look into getting us back on track, and maybe scrounge medical... they've gotta have some of that purgative or an equivalent on hand if they're growing the stuff raw like that in here."
Taking a little stack of the patches from Christine's remaining, he waved the five at her to indicate he'd be getting right on that. "You'll want to let your Skrubing out, mine's coming with me. Amber? Think you can convince your friend to let you, Kat, and Bun on through to Utilities? Might want to give that disc a listen before you go in case it's relevant." He paused in the doorway, waving the light source to his side.

Bunnie gives Cecil's plan a moment of thought. She wasn't sure how comfortable she was going to be around Amber's new friend. Or whether there would be more once they had gone through the hole she was guarding. But if Bunnie had learned nothing else it was that trusting Cecil's judgement was probably better than her own. Besides, with Doug and Ms Maples there with her, her confidence was boosted significantly.
"If we can get to Utilities, we should be able to get in with this card."

Kat very nearly flinches back at the sign of the strange girl, only managing to keep still out of worry that the critter would attack if she moved again too quickly. "Uuuh," she starts at first, nudging her goggles. "That's, uh. That's awesome, Amber." She studies the child from behind the lenses, then offers up her friendliest smile. Pokerus'd human? Pokemon? She wasn't sure, but getting Amber out of the vent--new friend or no friend--was gonna be priority here. "Soo, um. Spiderchicka. You have a name? Do you live here? Or like. Did you. Before..." she gestures--barely--with her free hand at the multiple legs. "Maybe that's a redundant damn question, though, huh? Vent's no place for any girlie to live, y'know, 'specially with us around. Why don't you let Amber and the little zappy one back up, then you come out'n say hi too? We ain't lookin' to hurt nobody that don't strike us first. You seem friendly enough."Damn, being nice was awkward and hard at a time like this. Kat makes enough room for Amber to back out, then looks on expectantly, Rosco (still in an Amber guise) at her side. Kat, looking at the strange creature, you're fairly certain that this is in fact a full pokemon, not some poor soul that was mutated. Possibly the offspring of a stabilized mutation, but that brings its own set of worries. Because mutations are supposed to be sterile. Definitely a Bug type, and going from the color palette and just the way it seems so adept at blending into the shadows, you'd put a good amount of caps on it being a Dark-type as well. The little spider girl seems to be soothed by Amber's words, and will gingerly follow after her when she leaves the vent, though upon seeing all the other people (and their pokemon) she seems to get nervous again. Though rather than skittering back into the vents, she's clinging close to Amber, crouching down in order to use the slim girl as a bit of a screen. Perception checks from everyone please. Cecil and Christine are at a -1 Die penalty due to focusing on their patient. The woman manages to take a few small sips of the soda, following Cecil's instructions to rinse and spit. She seems to be coming around fully now. "Who... who are you all? You're not... you can't be people that live down here... and where am I?" She limply raises one of her arms, frowning as the remnants of silk make the task far more difficult than it should be. "And why am I all sticky?"

Kat keeps a close eye on spiderchicka as she steps out of the way, turning part of her attention to the woman in the cocoon but not saying a word. Frankly, she was impressed that the woman actually had a voice to speak with after all that hurling. That she was alive at all was another miracle entirely.
She sat back, glancing around the room and area now and then in an ever-cautious manner, staying close to Amber and the little spider should anything undesirable show its face.

"No, we aren't from down here," Christine says, releasing her own Skrubing to get some light, "But we are from another Vault. You're... well, I assume you know you're in a Vault, since you asked about 'down here'. As for where you are in here? Medical's right around the corner, but... that's the best that I have, I'm sorry. If you don't recognize it, well, the power went off soon after we got here. We're trying to get to utilities and hopefully turn it back on. As for being sticky? Well, I wasn't here for you being found, but I'd presume it would have something to do with all this webbing around. Probably also involving whatever got you quite infected." Although... there were those capsules. But, asking about those could wait. Better to start with some more basic questions.
"If I might ask," she ventures, "who are you? And... do you live down here? Because, that's seriously impressive, given the records we found. And the Pokémon. Although, seeing how well you seem to be recovering, maybe I shouldn't be surprised." She gives a reassuring smile, hoping to soothe any worry. Though, that's probably hard, what with the webbed surroundings, the lack of light, the strange people... Perception: 4 Charm: 10

Cecil couldn't help a smirk and a chuckle at the butterfly's questions. Why am I all sticky, heard that one before. Girl's have got all this under control. Getting the damn shakes, nerves, 'Rus, or maybe I just need a smoke. Slapping one of Christine's patches on the back of his hand, the greaser lit up one of his oddish offshoots and rounded the corner to start poking around medical like he said he would. Hilow, his precious light source taking point, he quickly comes to the first locked medbay door, still within earshot of the other room.
A long, relaxing drag on the hand rolled smoke settled him a little. It wasn't real tobacco, definitely not that 'dream smoke' garbage Lucien fed him the once either. Really herbal, he supposed. Like that tea that Scrim had shared with him. Cecil supposed there had been a lot on his mind lately, even back in Purewater he was constantly busy. The only quiet he got was when he was out cold, but this was pretty close. The murmur of conversation, the sweet smelling breath of the ball of growth at his shoulder, a good smoke, and the sense of accomplishment that only came with breaking and entering. His nimble fingers dug the tools of his trade into the first lock.
