The next few areas aren't that interesting, but a short ways up ahead, you hear sounds of metal scraping on stone as well as multiple things moving about. Must be more hostiles.

In the next room are some very fierce-looking metal bugs. Well, this can't be good. They look kinda...hungry. Hungry enough that Rei's group looks like an excellent meal! They clack their mandibles and begin to swarm!
#1 targets: 1d2 1 is Shelgon, 2 is Rei's Pokemon.

Magnes is able to resist the attack that actually lands, but somehow feels hungrier after, like some of the fullness from the snacks he ate vanished! Rei decides to approach the tough looking insects carefully, not fully engaging at the present time. She does her defensive dance and waits. Magnes, however, is pretty upset at these bugs trying to eat one of his bodies, so he calls down electric wrath upon them! Rei uses Yoroi Step to raise her def two stages
Magnes uses Thundershock on #5

The bugs are surprised at how quickly Maya and Shelgon brought one of their number low, but the flaming fangs are terrifying to them. They resolve to quickly swarm the sturdy dragon before it can use its fire again.

Somehow Magnes avoids the attacks and strikes again while Rei continues upping her defense in order to be able to block the attacks coming for the weakened Magnes. Rei uses Yoroi Step to gain 2 stages in def.

"A good catch there. I will say once you manage that it'll be very powerful... judging by how many pokemon of ours they took out. Also how much that hurt when it bit me."

Rei sees that Maya is about to pipe up in her usual fashion when Sorra interrupts them and suggests camping. Rei 'could' use the rest but was ok to keep going. Although she notes that that was probably a little deflating to be interrupted like that...
She starts setting up camp, but if there's a chance, she sneaks over to Maya and quiet enough so that their leader can't hear she speaks.
"Hey is everything ok? Honestly if you wanted to keep going I was good for a little longer. But Sorra seemed to cut you off before you could answer..."

Sorra and Maya are indeed ready to go (Maya is practically chomping at the bit). A short time later, the group is accosted by a group of red-orange turtles with black shells sporting what look like smoke/heat/steam vents on the backs. These look like the same species of Pokemon as the one that Ashley uses.
