Rei makes it in plenty of time to get in line behind some other people wishing to enter at the last minute, and quickly finds herself before the guards.
"Please produce your City Pass." One of them states. "We need to inspect them to ensure they are not forgeries."
"Standard procedure." The second one deadpans, as if he has said this a million times and expects to do so a million more in the future. "I'm sure you understand."

"Welcome to Celadon." He mutters as they stand aside to let Rei and Holly pass.

Holly's eyes nearly bug out of her head as she takes in the sheer size of the city. She instinctively moves closer to Rei, eyes darting about furtively as she tries to keep an eye on any and all potential threats to Rei.

Rei lets her (and Kopi) stand guard while she takes in the city. It's... weird. It looks familar but somehow doesn't? And somewhere in the dark back of Rei's mind, she knows it's because it's not currently under seige is why it looks strange. But front mind Rei is currently taking in everything and looking around for directions or something in order to make it to an inn or something that Rei and Holly have a room to stay and somewhere to 'establish' themselves.

Thankfully for Rei, there is an inn specifically meant for visitors to the city just inside the gate. Naturally, the place is packed. If Rei wants a room for herself and Holly, it's going to cost a whopping 25 golden crowns per night. Plus an extra 5 per non-balled Pokemon.

Rei agrees (paying the extra 5 for Kopi who stares intently at the coins being passed around), and pays the inn keeper and heads to their room. She sets everything down and plops on the bed.
"Ok. we made it..."

Rei holds Holly close.
"Not sure how much of any of this we can do tonight but... I am to accomplish a few things here. D'mara is/was the queens advisor so it stands to reason she lived here and has somewhere we can 'visit'. She must have slipped up somewhere and maybe she left something behind."
She breathes in a moment. That will be a very tense night when they do that. She's not looking forward to it.
"There's the Grand Library I've been given access to, although I'm not sure there's much else 'to' learn that we don't already know at this point... Other than that, I aim to recruit here, I feel like we'll find some powerful allies if we look carefully."
Rei mumbles 'Maybe find someone for Tiki' under her breath, to a mostly unaudible level.
"At some point if I could find Lady Sorra, that might be good. At the very least to see how she is. And I'm sure a city like this can get us a lot of money so I can supply the base and make stuff with..."

Holly listens quietly to Rei's plans, as always. She manages to avoid flinching at the mention of Tiki, and just continues to lean on Rei.

"Honestly... I don't know. Part of the reason I've been wanting money is because I assume I'm going to have to hire people?"
She looks down at the floor a bit spacey.
"I mean it's not going to work like Brenda. Convincing people of a big fight is going to be hard. Even I am doing this because I've been mostly trapped in this position. The only way out is to fight."

Rei finally gets up after a moment of cuddling.
"Ok come on. I think we need to frequent the nightlife here in Kanto. I'm looking for someone specific."
With that, Rei heads out to find pubs or bars or places that might have entertainment like dancers or something. Time to get sparks flying!

Well, apparently Celadon is not one for the 'night life' that Rei is thinking of. The only commoners that live here are those working as servants to noble families or those otherwise employed at basic jobs; and nobles don't really 'party' in that manner, it seems.

After finding out the 'night life' is actually pretty thin for what she's looking for, Rei sighs after wasting their first night in Celadon. They head back to the room and Rei is a bit down. It's going to be hard to find all she needs here. She just flumps on the bed face down in a huff.
