Other than wondering how that little bitey pokemon became a flying bug, not much happens while Rei is resting. Then she sets up for her shift, letting Kopi and Shinpuru out once more.

The remainder of the day seems pretty uneventful, aside from Maya wondering aloud what set those Donphan off. Admittedly, she doesn't know the Pokemon in this area very well, but it definitely seemed like they were enraged by something and set on a course for the village.

The Hariyama are finally dispatched, and Maya suggests getting some rest, as the two of you are flying home first thing in the morning.
~~The next morning~~
Maya wakes you up bright and early, as promised. You glance down into the ravine to see the village packing up as well. They are nomads, after all. The homes/buildings were make-shift at best, and easy to break down for transport. Just as you're finished packing up, Maya gets your attention and points out a Snorlax blocking the pass through the ravine. It doesn't affect you, but this seems like a major trail for wandering people and pokemon, so it may be prudent to get it to move if possible. Unfortunately, this means fighting it.

As Rei watches them pack up, she wonders what the real 'threat' was of these nomads, but doesn't have a lot of time to think before Maya pulls her aside and points out the Snorlax. Rei winces a bit.
"That's going to be a formidable task for anyone to come across. So I guess we'll have to take care of it, then. Let's hope this goes as well as the other fights!"
Rei starts to make her way over.

The Snorlax gets beaten up pretty badly, and finally gives up the fight. Apparently, it's much hardier than it looks, as it grumbles off back up the trail. Kinda anti-climatic, but better than trying to move an unconscious Snorlax. Maya recalls Fraxure and checks to make sure you're alright as she whistles for your ride back home. It's a long flight, just like before, but hopefully a little less harrowing.
~~~After you arrive home~~~
After you finish giving your report to Lady Sorra, Maya pulls you aside and expresses that she was quite thoroughly impressed with the way you managed to hold on in battle against all of those fully-evolved pokemon. As such, you have more than earned her respect as a Steel Branch member, and she would like to offer you a very rare gift: a Dragon's egg! She tells you that the Pokemon within is called 'Bagon', and releases hers so you have an idea of what to expect.

Rei gets pulled aside with some confusion, but lights up when Maya says she respects her.
"I'm so glad! It means a lot to me, truely, for you to say that Maya. I thank you."
Rei blinks a few times as she's offered a dragon egg.
"Wait, really? You'd just give me something as rare and powerful as a dragon pokemon?"

Maya laughs. "I wouldn't offer it if I didn't think you could handle it. Even baby dragons are tough to deal with. Few here are qualified to work with dragons, let alone raise one. I'm sure you'll do fine. I can offer advice anytime you need it."

"Considering how strong your dragons looked, I expect I will end up needing your help after it hatches. I really thank you Maya. And I had a good time on mission with you. Regardless if it was mostly uneventful. Also me not being able to stay on our ride. I'll... try fixing that."

Rei breathes a sigh of relief as things with the Mayor seems to have cleared up. Hopefully she and Clay can work it out in the future, to the benefit of both of them. She likes the Mayor and Clay is too dear a friend. She wants both of them to be happy. But before she can relax, her own problems creep up as Holly asks her to teach her how to dance. And Rei can't really run around the question this time, she knows exactly 'how' Holly wants to dance. Rei gulps and shakes off the feelings before saying she'd be happy to teach her. She leads her back to the dance floor, and gets Holly to stand there.
"Holly, please hold your arms out like this. Yes, perfect. I'll take the lead, you just have to follow my steps like this."
Rei begins to teach Holly a simple two-step styled dance, hoping the music lasts long enough to teach her.

Holly's face is bright red the entire time, but she seems to enjoy it (or maybe she's just enjoying time alone with Rei?). The music lasts more than long enough to teach Holly to dance. Eventually, the music winds down before stopping altogether. Holly keeps Rei dancing as long as possible just to be near her (though this is not expressly stated).

When Tiki rejoins the others when Clay is done at the Mayor's house, she stops and stares at Rei and Holly. Now this sent a pang of pain through Tiki's chest when she saw them. She had no idea what brought that on, but she didn't like it. Not one bit...She stands nearby, hoping that she will get her chance to dance with Rei, which she hasn't done since they held a small performance in the guild. Tiki fidgets more and more anxiously as she waits.

As they dance and the music stops, Rei steps back, and smiles.
"You did great Holly! But you have a good teacher."
Rei giggles for a moment before looking over and sees Tiki watching. She feels a heavy pang of guilt in her gut. Rei tries to smile as she sees Tiki but can't shake that feeling, one she doesn't even fully understand why it's happening.
"There you are Tiki. Oh I didn't mention it before but I did love your performance before. You do so good."

Tiki finally smiles, and heads over to Rei. "Really? That means so much to me! Thanks! Oh!...Since I got so wrapped up with the performance, Star, and Clay, I didn't get time to spend with you....I wanna dance with you too! We haven't danced since that time in the Guild's mess hall! Please!" She looks up to Rei with clasped hands, and bright eyes.

That feeling doesn't go away, but Rei nods in agreement with Tiki.
"You are right, we haven't. Come over here."
Once Tiki is over, Rei asks her to set up the same way as Holly, and Rei teaches her the same slow dance she just taught.

Tiki smiles, and blushes as she gets her wish. she spends however much time she can dancing with Rei, before they come to halt when the music stops. She then gives Rei a nice big hug. "Thanks Rei. That was so much fun."

Rei is blushing again as the dance ends, and she backs up. She looks to Holly and then Tiki again before deciding 'Hey it's time for a distraction'. She clears her throat.
"So it seems the party is over and we should be getting Clay so we can get him back for his test before it gets too late. Let's go see where he ended up."
Before the others can reply, Rei walks off to go find Clay.

While walking through the city of Saffron, Rei stumbles across a scene where it looks like a little girl's Pokemon is being bullied by some street thugs. Her skirt and blouse are torn and dirty, and every time she goes to pull them off the Pokemon, the teenage boys shove her away and to the ground again. Eventually one of them decides she might make a good victim and suggests that the now-unconscious Pokemon on the ground isn't fun anymore. They grab her by her hair and start to drag her towards a nearby alleyway. Naturally, Rei can't just leave someone to be victimized in any way, shape, or form, so she strides over to go give them a piece of her mind.

Rei stomps around Saffron, looking to" just clear her head. Between Holly running off and her relationship issues, she needed to clear her head of the confusing and worrying thoughts. She quickly grabs some food for the road before most of the guild is up. She needs some air. Like a lot of it. She re-arranges her team, and storms off into the city to find something to keep her mind off things with Shinpuru in tow, as per usual.
Some time passes, and she finds herself in her own thoughts again. She's terrified Holly ran back to the swamp forever because of what she said, in some strange attempt to force a choice. She hopes it's maybe just visiting her sister or something. And Tiki during this whole thing was still her sweet self and was almost nice about the whole thing. Rei begins to weigh her options-
Rei stops as she sees what happens, before quickly whipping out her blade from her umbrella.
"Not on my watch! Come on Shinpuru!"
Both of them storm over and she points her blade at the nearest one.
"In the name of the Steel Branch of the Adventuring Guild, I order you to leave her alone and stop this at once.
If not, I will be forced to defeat you all."
