Rei - Solo RP & Special Missions

Rei is knocked back and hit with everything, and is afraid she's going to lose very quickly, and any confidence from her trip with Maya is SUCKED right out of her as they rip her of her talents and then-

Nothing. She looks up to see nothing. She's not even hurt anymore, and Shinpuru is standing there, as confused as she was. As far as he knew, he just got knocked out. She just sits down to let her mind catch up with her. What 'was' that? It seems everyday something new and terrifying is around the corner. Did they just take off? Did it never really happen? Some sort of illusion or magic? More importantly, was the girl in danger?

Rei searches the alley a while, but doesn't find anything. She tries to keep her mind on searching, because otherwise she might just be brought to tears. She pushes the similar feeling she had to the poacher fight down deep again, where it belongs. After it becomes clear there's nothing, she's not sure what to think. Shinpuru is clearly concerned, but Rei assures him she's fine.

But she's not. In the last couple of days, she's been (seemingly) in no real danger, but she's failed. She's supposed to be the smart and wise one of the group, but she couldn't negotiate with the two people vying for her affections for some sort of compromise, and didn't even know what to do. She feels like she is supposed to help Tiki, and she just plain forgot to make her helpful snacks, tried to give her good luck... and then Tiki lost! And she's supposed to be the strong one, the bulwark of the team, and even if imagined, it felt too real. To be defeated so handily by just street thugs...

She exhales sadly and just moves on. She gets some battles and some wins in, but it doesn't help anything. She gets back and just flops face-first onto her bed, ruminating in her own thoughts.

Oh good, she is here. Excellent.

Rei smiles and walks over to Maya.

"Likewise to you, Maya. And good morning. I was actually looking for 'you' in particular. I want a re-match."

Rei is happy she accepted. She wants a better chance to prove herself, and to at least try and see how strong she can be on her own.

"If you only have the three we'll use three. Thanks to my friend Tiki, I now have two Steel types, so this should feel like a proper branch fight. And yes, involving us both. I won't get downed by an arrow so quickly this time, you'll find."

"I suppose I appreciate that, then. Alligapod, you are up first."

Rei unsheathes her sword from the umbrella staff and readies to fight. She knows she'll need every advantage against Maya this time.

It takes a moment for Rei to realize what was going on, but being informed of her progress (Pushing Maya to her last two pokemon, while knocking her out) does cheer her up considerably. Even if Alligapod and Manges will be a bit miffed being hit with such strong fire, they both did well. Rei walks over to Maya.

"It looks like I still have a ways to go before I catch up to you, Maya. But, at least a single arrow didn't fell me like last time. And I felt that one arrow. That was more power than the last."

Rei smirks.

"And it didn't put me in a hospital so I must be doing well."

"Well as I said, I wanted to represent this as if I was fighting for the branch. Not pick a team based only on the fact I know what your few pokemon are. That's not fair! But yes, I feel like down the road, another match will do us good. Both of us."

She looks off to the side a bit.

"Maya? Thanks for this. I needed it. More than you might realize. I'll see you later!"

Lia leaves to go do some more standard training for the day...

Rei sadly looks over her as it seems she was very close to failing to save this girl from something horrible. But then a pokemon pops out and begins threatening Rei. She limps back in a step in retreat.

"I'm sorry... I had no intentions of hurting her. She was being abducted by two thugs, and I was intervening."

Zumu and Nasi wait to the sides, knowing this pokemon is probably too weak to fight back well.

Considering she nearly failed this time, Rei feels for the poor pokemon. She winces hard as she sits down across from them.

"I don't know how you could have fought them off on your own, honestly. Those two and their pokemon took me and four of my pokemon out before one apparently retreated and the others defeated."

Rei gives a glance over to the unconscious body of the thug.

"I'm Rei. Rei Leeda. I'm from the Adventurer's Guild. Can you move?"

"Don't worry little one, I will help you all back. Zumu, Nasi, watch out for us all, ok?"

Rei offers her shoulder to the girl, and then begins limping their injured bodies back to the guild. She wants to do SOMETHING about the unconscious thug, but unless their is a guard or someone she can inform nearby in the street, both of their well-beings take priority.
