"It might be kinda hard to practice battle without our pokemon," Genki said as he relinquished his poke companions.
"We've got an hour," to the nurse on duty, "what are the provided amenities you mentioned?"

"We could... still turn in the data we found?" he looked to the nurse for their answer.

Molly, Polly or Lolly gestured about the facility, "Oh, we have all sorts of amenities here. The mart, the centre of course, but also we have places fro you to call home, to play games and to sleep and eat as well as wash up and prepare yourself ready for your adventures out in the wilderness. Please feel free to take advantage of all of them." she said as one of her sisters busied herself with the restoration machine and the other served clients at the mart.

scratching his head, Genki mused, "I don't know if we discovered enough to report back on, but what do i know. I wouldn't mind washing up, after a night out, and falling in the river and all, warm water sounds pretty good."
Afterwards Genki felt revitalized, just as his pokemon would form their time with the Nurses. ready once more to take on the day that started so eventfully.

Aiden will not and follow suit, going to shower and take a quick power nap before his Pokemon are finished healing, though he does not rest well; his nap turns to him laying awake and staring at the bunk over the top of the one he lay in.

Dr Lotus found the group not long after they had finished washing up and getting their teams healed, she too looked like she had taken the opportunity to wash up as well. She carried with her three hefty packs, each designed to be attached to travelling packs, her own featured one already, "After what has just happened, I think it might be time to roll these out. I was going to wait, but I think we should do this earlier rather than later. In these packs there are special devices I've had imported- teleportation pads powered by the power of Electric and Psychic types.I was thinking we could place them across the island, doing away with the need for roads and allowing us to quickly head back here. Of course, they'll need powering which is the greater part of the problem and photovoltaic cells just can't produce the required current. Perhaps as you explore you could set these up? For now they'll only do from the pad and back to here where the home device is, but eventually we might even be able to get them to inter-connect so we can hop between locales?"

"Well Doc, that sounds like high adventure to me!"
Genki was curious about what it would take to teleport a person, and imagined it would be bulky and heavy; not something desirable for nimble travel. The Professor did say they fit into those packs though, but was it one per, or a whole bunch? "I've got an electric type and a psychic type pokemon, would I need then to activate it? This sounds like a bid advancement for a largely unexplored region, and with the uses of teleportation, a lack of road dependency would keep this place in more of a natural state. Would you mind showing me how they work, maybe even step outside for a practical, short range demonstration?"

"That sounds like a compelling idea." Cole assented, hair still damp from the shower. He loved the idea, it seemed a win in all ways. Preserving nature may or may not be a side-effect of the plan, but it was a wonderful result. Aside from the obvious benefits, it would mean more of the landscape remained untouched and open to individual exploration. Plus, his lazy nature relished in the idea of not having to walk everywhere.
"I'm willing to volunteer as the test subject if no one else would."

"It sounds neat, but what are the drawbacks other than the large energy drain it may cause? Any dangerous side effects we should be made aware of or does it work like the move Teleport?" asks Aiden, his doctor side showing concerns for the health of people and Pokemon. "It sounds neat and would leave much of the island undamaged for now, but id people decide roads would be better, what's to stop them? I don't want to tussle with that eco-terrorist group again unless we absolutely have to."

Dr Lotus pulled out one of the devices from the packs, clearly made of folded parts of metal it folded out into a claw-like apparatus large enough to accomodate a single person. as well as featuring some sort of antennae array with both an input and transmission element. "Each of these will allow the instantaneous transportation of a trainer and their gear, just like the automatic system that is found in a new ball., only these are multi-use, but will need a powerful jolt. For now, we might have to rely on trainers to do it themselves, but eventually I hope these will have powering infrastructure. As for those eco-terrorists, I hope that this at least goes some way to appeasing them- we won't be doing too much damage to the natural state of the island."

"I guess we can give them a try; shouldn't be too dangerous. Though, I do not know how many trainers carry electric and psychic types with them to power the device. After the jolt of energy, how long does it usually last? Enough for the trainer to recall their Pokemon, i presume?" It's a bit obvious that Aiden isn't fully trained in machines that teleport.

"A single jolt provides enough power for one teleportation and the battery can store if for a minute or so, allowing you to charge it and then return without too much worry. I think, once we have this set up, we should see that a lot of trainers begin to keep something that can at least use Thunderbolt, Thunder, Zap Cannon, Psychic, Psystrike or Teleport to power these machines. Some will choose not to, some will fly everywhere too, but it will get better." Dr Lotus added, pointing out the ways that the machine could be powered as well as how versatlie the move-set could be.

"Be careful, Genki..." says Aiden. "I know these are more than likely safe, but still, a little uncomfortable by it."

Genki's concerns for blowing a rig were not exactly a safety concern, more of a, 'time to go! Oh dang, I fried the machine, now what do we do?' Kind of way.

Dr Lotus shook her head, "If your chinchou is particularly fast then that might work, but otherwise I'm afraid it is unlikely to provide enough power to the device. Two electric-type moves though might do that, if you can co-ordinate them."

"Well then, it seems like we have got ourselves a few new quests as we explore the island. One; aiding in setting up the devices throughout the island. two; finding pokemon that live on the island that will reliably charge them. If we can find an area or two that is inhabited by such pokemon, then trainers that wish to explore this island would have a place to go to find a companion that would grant consistent access to the teleporters. If we can find that, then this project is more likely to take off, and preserve the natural elements of the island."

"Then there is also a rawback to that as well. If there are not many Pokemon on the island who can do that, then we ne have to worry about too many trainers catching the Pokemon, which could cause problems to the ecosystem of the island," he crosses his arms over his chest as if deep in thought, "If we find a forest of Pikachu and set up one of the teleporters there, it may lead to the entirety of the Pikachu population in the forest being captured... It seems we have another mission as well... a census while he look for places to set these up. How many of each species reside on the island that can power these devices as well as how many of each. Plus, as it stands I cannot use these either. The closest i can get is Hope's Copycat move and hope there is enough punch behind it.."

"Maybe a breeding center could be put in place? That would prevent depopulation on the area." He sits down and takes a breather, when a thought came to him, "now that I think about it, there may be an answer to two problems, we were looking for starter pokemon, well, what about one that could provide safe transport? Find them, set up breeding, then, the island would be stocked with pokemon to gift to novice trainer, that would also prevent the need to hunt down those pokemon that could get the job done."
Genki was quite pleased with himself, folding his hands in his lap, feeling like that might just be the seed of something that just might work.
