Orpheus's luck runs out as she blasted by the massive radiant blast. She shakily gets to her feet, and charges the enemy gardevoir with a draining attack of her own. Orpheus uses the tricky duplicate strategy again.

Serena actually seems somewhat surprised. "Wait.. I won? Yes! I won! Ha-ha!" She seems quite prepared to rub it in your and Orpheus' faces when a different voice calls out.
"Serena. That's quite enough. Your victory was well-earned. There is no need to gloat."
The Queen's adviser, Ceana, emerges from the nearby woods. Serena looks mildly ashamed at herself. She turns and picks up the Gardevoirite, which never actually went anywhere it seems, and offers it to Kaeda.
"Please accept my apologies for Serena's behavior. While it is true the Queen asked her to test you to earn your Mega Stone, being a poor sport about it was not part of the deal. She unfortunately takes after the Queen a bit too much. One of the downsides of being an Empath."

Kaeda sighs, nods, and takes the stone. She then goes over to Orpheus, get down on her knees, and lays Orphy's head on her lap. "It's ok, Orphy. See, we got the stone." She pets her smooth head.

Kaeda encounters an odd, blue-haired girl wearing what seems like a sailor uniform (like those ones you would see in prep schools). You didn't know anybody in these days would be wearing something like that willingly. Surprisingly, it is she who challenges you. 3 on 3 with just Pokemon, no trainer combat. She admits to being afraid of being hurt badly in such a fight, as she claims to be rather fragile. The battle starts with her Dewgong. Init 10. |
