"I was out on the route from Nuvema Town," Jack explained, handing off the Pidgey and following after the nurse. "He was getting attacked by a bunch of Spearow, so me and Bolt helped him, then a whole flock of them came, and a Fearow, and we ran for it and hid in a tree trunk and then we ran here," he said, talking quickly. "Is he gonna be okay?," Jack asked, concern apparent in his voice.

Jack
The Nurse shook her head at the mention of the Fearow "Yeah, that flock has been causing issues for the past few days, I'm not sure what has some so shaken up, normally they're far less hostile."
She looked the Pidgey over "Oh yes. A day or two here in the Center and this one should be back up and going no problem. Though, at this rate, he'll just end up back here again"
Luke
One of the smaller birds nods intently at Lukes words, before charging into the Honchkrow, startling it. After shaking off the momentary confusion, the bigger bird swiped its wing at the Murkrow, directing the other one to do the same. A moment later, all three of them were busy fighting amongst each other. completely ignoring Luke and Gawain for the moment.
Dave and Jacqueline
The forest continues to be quiet, the sound of flying types screeching in the distance and some bushes rustling from the breeze the only notable sounds that the pair can hear.

Luke nods happily as one of the Murkrow heeds his words and stands up to himself, satisfied with a job well done. He looks on, content, as the bully is overthrown.
After a few moments of being ignored as the birds are fighting, however, that satisfaction turns to awkwardness, and Luke looks down at Gawain. "I think our work here is done, don't you think so, buddy?" At Gawain's affirmative yip, he smiles, returns and immediately releases Gawain again to get rid of the confusion and the pair begin to wander off, letting the coup play itself out. Whatever would happen, would happen. He'd done his part, all was left was for the birds to keep standing up to themselves.
As they are walking, Luke smiles down at Gawain. "You did pretty well out there, Gawain, all things considered. You managed to injure the Honchkrow and you have only some bruises to show for it. Looks like you're made of pretty sturdy stuff, right?" They continue in silence, heading back to the road and from there on, to his hometown. To Accumula Town.
It's halfway there that he realises he forgot something, and he lets out his newly caught Lillipup, kneeling down in front of the small canine. "Hey there, little fellow. Sorry about leaving you waiting, I got sidetracked a bit. Anyway, welcome to the team! I'm sure you'll fit right in. You're gonna need a name, though." He thinks for a moment, before smiling. "I know! What do you think of Palamedes?"

"So," Dave says to Jacqueline, eying every rustling a little longer than he normally would, "Don't you have something better to do than follow me around? Like... literally anything else? Your accent tells me you aren't from around here, and I get this godsforsaken place is rather rustic at best and barbaric at worst... but I can't imagine you came here just to hover around, annoying travelers. So, why don't you go off and do... whatever that thing is. I don't really care, as long as it's not where I am. Ow. That cat really knew how to cause pain. Not something he was used to, in a battle. The worst was usually getting pelted by hail, or flying sand, whenever a newly-trained Pokémon tried to do a bit of focused battlefield control.

Jack seemed troubled by what the nurse said about the Fearow. "Alright...please take good care of him, I'll come back tonight to check on him," he said, smiling kindly at the Pidgey. He gave his contact information to the Nurse, just in case something should happen.
With the Pidgey in the Pokemon Center's very capable hands, Jack made sure Bolt got a quick check-up after his fight with the Spearow, and then headed out, going back towards the route. He'd left Luke and Dave out there...and if the Fearow and Spearow were as aggressive as the Nurse said...well, he was a little worried. And he was worried about what might be causing them to act out like that. "Bolt, if we have time I want to go back down that route and see if we can find out what's making those Fearow so angry," Jack resolved, looking to his partner. "Maybe we'll be able to get them to calm down? Who knows...,"

Jacqueline rolls her eyes at Dave's prodding, giving Floon a nice pat on the head before looking out into the forest around. "I'm going to take a really safe bet here and say that you've never had a friend in your life, and have grown so bitter over it that you lash out at people instead of trying to actually learn how to relate to people. I'm following you because I want to, and you can't stop me. If you want to actually know more about my reasonings for doing what I'm doing, where I'm from, what my goals are, and other such things, feel free to do so in an actually conversational manner. Here, I'll start, so that you can even have an example to follow! You're obviously not from around here, so where are you from? I assume it has something to do with you describing the wonderful Unova region as rustic, but why don't I hear it straight from your mouth instead of piecing things together myself. It can be like an actual conversation, which I'm sure you aren't used to. It'll be fun, I promise!" Despite the overflow of sarcasm and snark, there's a genuine spark of interest in her eye and in her tone. She seems to actually be curious about these things. As she waits for his reply, she looks around at the forest for a while, trying to see if she can understand why things feel... off, right now. Perception: 5

"Oh, yes, you've known me for all of ten minutes, so obviously I must bow down to your superior insight as to how I tick." Dave sighs and shakes his head. "Listen here, Jackie. I might not be in the best of conditions to stop you from following me, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be your friend. Does following someone everywhere they go, whether they like it or not, sound like a recipe for a healthy friendship to you?"
"You're already making the assumption that I want to relate to you," Dave says. "Believe me, I've had enough encounters with people like that for the past couple days. So I hope you can understand that I'm rather tired of it by now."
"If it'll get you to shut up, though," he mutters, "I'm from LaRousse City in Hoenn. Happy?"

Dave and Jacqueline
As the pair made their way along the path, Jacqueline caught a glimpse of something odd. Over the treetops two Black bird Pokemon seemed to be battling, one much larger then the other. The Larger one proceeded to smack the smaller bird down to the forest floor before loudly cawing in victory and flying back beneath the canopy.
Luke
Gawain cheerfully walked beside Luke, soaking in all the praise given to him but being otherwise quiet for the walk. Upon release, Palamedes nodded at his new name, seemingly happy with both it and his new position as a member of a team.He turned his head quizzically to the side a few moments later, Luke hearing two people talking a little ways away, just far enough that he couldnt make out what they were saying. After a few seconds, Palamedes cowered behind Luke when a loud caw rang out from where the Honchkrow had been battling the Murkrow.
Jack
When Jack and Bolt made their way back to the Route, it seemed much calmer then before, an eery silence blanketing the forest compared to before. The flock of Spearow was nowhere to be seen, their leader also absent. However, a loud cry rang across the forest, sounding almost triumphant to the young trainer.

Luke smiles encouragingly at Palamedes as the pup hides behind him. "Don't worry buddy, the Honchkrow won't be bullying you anymore, I promise. Come, let's go see who'se further up ahead. It's probably Jack and Dave." With that, he begins moving toward the sound of the voices.

"I wonder what that was," Jack said, hearing the cry and looking at Bolt. Without giving it too much thought, he continued along the Route, heading back the way they came and looking for any sign of Dave and Luke.

Jacqueline smirks a little bit at Dave's bitter reply, seeming to be more amused than anything with it. "Oh don't worry, I don't want to be your friend, I have plenty enough people I could be friends with who aren't assholes." She sighs contentedly and stretches out, making note of the activity in the tree before giving Floon a little pet. "La Rousse? I think it's on my list of places to visit when I visit Hoenn, places with a little spark of Kalosian in them always have special interest for me, I suppose it's that spark of Kalosian pride. Who knows, you probably have a bit of Kalosian in you yourself."

"Who knows." Dave replies, flatly. "Maybe if you go back a few generations. And cared. It's probably true there's more influence there than elsewhere in Hoenn. But I wouldn't expect it to be anything like Kalos. You're all decrepit old castles, and stuff like that, right? Go to Mount Pyre, then. Sootopolis, whatever. Heck, go now. It's lovely this time of year. Or something. I'm not a tourism brochure. Besides, If you don't want to be my friend, and, believe me, the feeling is mutual, I don't know why in the gods' names you're following me. You say you 'want' to, but that's a pretty poor excuse for a reason. So either spit it out, or go away."

Luke
As Luke approaches the two figures, he quickly recognizes the pink haired form of Dave, however the young trainer from Hoenn wasn't accompanied by Jack like he had expected, but instead by a girl who looked around Dave's age, the two bickering as they walked through the woods.
Jack
Jack continued through the forest, eventually hearing the sounds of voices. Working his way around a corner, he saw Dave walking with a girl a little older than himself followed by a balloon like Pokemon. Dave and the girl seemed to be having some sort of disagreement, though he arrived just in time to hear Dave say "Go Away"
Dave and Jacqueline
Their bickering rising in volume, neither Dave or Jacqueline noticed the two younger trainers appear at first, Luke showing up from the bushes to the side, and Jack along the path in front of them.

Luke is somewhat surprised to see Dave together with an unknown girl - though he isn't necessarily surprised that they're fighting - and just stands silently for a few moments, blinking, as he takes in the situation, curious if they would notice him having arrived. After a few moments of being ignored, he was beginning to grow somewhat uncomfortable watching the two bicker, so he clears his throat to get their attention, shyly holding up a hand in greeting once they notice him. "Uhm... hi Dave. Made a new ... friend?" he asks the older boy, confusion clear in his voice. He then turns to the girl. "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Luke." he says, smiling slightly.

Jack walked up, seeing Dave, a girl he didn't know, and Luke walking up the road. At least he had found everyone. Jack quickened his pace and hurried over. Bolt seemed to perk up at the prospect of being reunited with Luke--and Gawain--as well.
"Hey Luke! Hey Dave, who's your friend?," he asked, looking over at the girl. "Is she on the show too?," he asked curiously, not wanting to interrupt her and Luke's introduction, but making no effort to speak privately with Dave.

"Oh, hello," Dave replies, inwardly sighing. Just what I needed now... "She's not my friend. And not a participant, no. Just some rather irritating busybody, who for some reason is following me." Dave winces, and clutches his side where the Persian had perforated him, as it aches again. "By the way, I'm fine, thanks for asking."

Jack looks at Dave curiously. "Huh, you run into some trouble on the route?," he asked. "I figured you wouldda been aright with just about anything out here. I guess we should stick together next time instead of splitting up," he said with a frown.
"Well, the Pokemon Center isn't far, I just came from there," Jack said, pointing back down the road. "I'm sure they can do something there to help you if you're hurt."

"I ran into an Ursaring," Dave shoots back. "And then, after beating that, got bitten by that poacher's Persian. I think me not giving him Hal when he demanded made him mad for some reason," he finishes, dryly.

Jacqueline was about to respond to Dave when the bushes began to rattle, two younger boys appearing from various directions. Her eyes widen a little bit in amusement and she has to bring a hand over her mouth to stifle a giggle, waiting for a good moment to speak, her distinctive Kalosian accent obviously apparent to the two. "So Dave, these are the two you wanted to know if Floon could kidnap? I think they're a bit old for him, sorry!" She then turns to look at the other two, smiling good-naturedly at them. "I'm Jacqueline, nice to meet you both. As Dave has explained, I'm someone he's managed to find a little bit more hate for than the general populace and far from his friend. He did do very well against both the Ursaring and Persian, it was rather impressive, although he is of course not going to mention that I played a significant part in defeating them as well, because it's Dave." She pauses for a moment a few words used previously causing her a bit of pause, and she turns back to Dave with a prying glint in her eyes. "So what sort of 'Show' are you a 'Participant' in, Dave, hmm?"

"You only showed up after I beat the Ursaring the first time," Dave points out, irritably. "And I never said I took on the Persian by myself. As little as you may think of me, I'm not an idiot to think I could take on a Pokémon. Especially a fully evolved one. And what are you saying by 'because it's Dave'? You haven't even known me for an hour, Arceus Junior. So, how about you go withholding those Judgements. Especially since your very first one was wrong. You don't need to act like you know my whole damn life story."
"And to answer your question, it's the one where I 'show' you the way out of here," he says, dryly. "Thankfully, here, it's very easy." Dave gestures around, flippantly. "Take your pick."
