Adventure Thread - Group A

Rei facepalms a bit.

"Probably should have expected that. Hmmm..."

Rei thinks for a moment.

"How about... I call you... Kopi! I think that fits you rather well!"

Clay sighs and runs a hand through his shaggy hair. "Yeah, probably. Unless we wanna go through trying to ambush them in the dark after all, but if there's that many of 'em I dunno how well it'd work."

Though he does glance in the direction of the mountain thoughtfully. If somebody could get inside his head, they might discover a brief fantasy about a troop of Infernape disassembling the poachers' camp. But even assuming they could find his troop, he doesn't know if he could talk them into helping it... and of course there's still the problem of the poachers seeing them coming and clearing out.

Tiki nods. "*yaaaaawwwnnnn* Ok then. Lets get back to the Inn. Sleep time now." Tiki holds onto Rei's arm, and nearly falls asleep on contact.

Clay seems to deflate a little as they head back to the village, the nervous energy from psyching himself up for a conflict with the poachers and being frustrated leaking out in a rush. He collapses in a pile with Fan on his bed, the bedclothes pulled around him into a nest. Anybody watching him might catch a couple of incoherent, slightly distressed noises in the middle of the night - it's probably not a weird prophetic dream, just an ordinary nightmare brought on by going to bed in a bad mood.

He's not really any less frustrated in the morning; he wakes up early, and spends most of their now-habitual training time sparring with Fan and Baloo to work off some excess aggression. Fan seems to be getting pretty frustrated with the lack of a good confrontation with the poachers herself, especially after spending yesterday wandering around relatively unfamiliar ground without much other than a big of information to show for it. Baloo, meanwhile, is still learning and picking things up; after a while Clay settles down to give the little bear some pointers on footwork, since he's still young and inclined to stumble a bit, while Fan wanders away. She returns with a rock that even Clay can see is something special, a translucent yellow stone that shines with its own light. Wow, where do you keep finding this stuff, sis? This is amazing!

He wanders back to the others with a big smile. "I dunno what it is about this village but Fan just keeps finding wild stuff. Look at this!"

Mechanics:

Rei wakes up, noting she'll have to get used to Kopi's antics at night in order to get sleep. Maybe some earplugs. She finds that Zumu got something else for her, like every morning. She smiles, and hopes that he never gets into stealing. She has her party train up while she inks up a couple more Cleanse Tags, and puts them away. She heads downstairs considering Tiki had woken up, and sees the two talking. She just sits nearby and lets them talk while she ponders.

Sano returns, having trained his mons up a bit.
"Man, I need to send my friends out to go collect stuff. You guys are finding some rare stuff out there." He looks much more relaxed and happy than yesterday, but the lines of worry haven't completely left his face.

"Sure, if you want! This one's sparkly, too, but it doesn't look like fire the way that one does." He holds out his stone, offering it to Tiki. He still needs to figure out what it actually is, but he's sure he can find somebody who knows if none of his friends do.

He shrugs his shoulders when Sano comments on the rarity of their finds. "I dunno where Fan finds this stuff, really. I guess some Pokémon have a knack for it and some don't? Usually somebody in the troop would find something interesting every once in a while but I never knew where to look."

Now that they're all gathered together, he heaves a sigh. "I guess we need to figure out what the plan is for the poacher thing? From what, uh, Kopi said, it sounds like sneaking up on 'em is gonna be hard."
