Divini
You are suddenly assaulted by many images inside your mind, a whole chaotic mess of them. After a moment, as your brain begins to adjust, you realize that the person you are speaking to is directing you where to go telepathically, through image projection. Following his rather vague directions, you eventually find yourself in front of the large dais in the front of the main room. Before you can speak up, a woman's voice fills your head.
"Welcome, Divini Monteblanc, prospective student. Tell me, what is it that you seek here?"
Tiki
"So where'd you learn to pull that off, anyway? I can't even begin to imagine the concentration it takes to sing so well and juggle and leap about. You must have had some teacher."

Sano picks up Aloe and takes a deep breath. He pushes on the ajar door, peering inside. "Master Nalkeya?"

Tiki smiles sheepishly, and giggles. "My parents taught me lots of things! They were pretty well known traveling performers. My mom could sing, and read fortunes. My dad could juggle, and breath fire. They said I had a knack for performing, so ever since I can remember I've been doing so." Tiki stands proud. "I love my pokemon too! They are just as amazing!"

Sano
As you push the door open, you discover two women lying naked on a bed, doing what appears to be some form of very noisy wrestling. Between odd moans and other noises, the blonde woman on the top glances over at you, winking with a wicked smile on her face.
"Hey there! *grunt, giggle* You here to join in or just stand there like a mook?" She chuckles somewhat under her breath, and you can hear the other, darker-skinned woman snicker as well.
Tiki
It's nearly impossible to tell Jax's expression, but his voice carries a fair bit of mirth. "Oh definitely. I wouldn't be able to pull off half as much stuff if Ace weren't here helping me out. He and I have been working on our technique for years now. Since I was.. oh.. maybe six? Somewhere around there."

Tiki nods happily, and she picks up her pokemon in her arms. "Me and Star go way back, and Justice just joined! Oh. Speaking of which. Did you just join the Normal Branch? We sure did!"

Sano stands agape for a moment before quickly averting his gaze. "I'm sorry," he stammers, turning pinker than Mitis' fur. "I--the sign--I thought--what is happening?!" Aloe wobbles over happily at the woman's request, hopping into the bed. He smiles shamelessly, making Sano blush to a Darumaka red. "Aloe, come here!" He hisses, still standing awkwardly in the doorway.

Clay
As you wander back out into the main hall on your way to the water type hall, you spot a familiar-looking person floating near a wall with a Staryu in their lap and a Venipede on their head.

"Oh, hey, Divini!" Clay gives her a rather tired smile. He knows by now that he must look like he's been through the wringer - there's that red mark on his arm, his wet clothes have dried on his body, and he's pretty much exhausted and moves that way. Not to mention carrying a Mudkip that's lost its normal healthy moisture.
"They give you a rough time in your branch, too? I was just gonna find Sandy some water."

At Clay's approach, Viiral stands and goes into an attack position, but then recognizes the "non-threat" monkey lad and sits back down with a bored, almost disappointing expression. Tessalon continues to glow contentedly as it sits in Divini's lap. Clay's greeting elicits no response from Divini. She seems to be in deep meditation, cross legged in the air. Or... wait... is she sleeping?

Clay knows about meditation well enough. He doesn't get as much out of it as someone with Divini's powers might, but it's certainly something he's encountered.
He's not entirely sure whether that's what Divini's doing, though. He approaches her slowly, wary of Viiral's response, and... reaches out to poke her in the shoulder. "Divini? You, uh, know there are dorms, right?"

Poking Divini gets no response. Being trained to wake Divini in times of need, Viiral rears his head back and bonks the top of Divini's skull with his own. A wave of force (which to Clay feels like a light breeze) bursts forth from Divini as she drops from the air, catching herself just before hitting the ground. She floats back up to eye level, rubbing the newly sore spot on her cranium. "Ah, finally someone showed up. I was starting to think you guys ditched me." She looks Clay over. "Looks like you had fun."

"Huh? I thought you left the same time I did?" Clay is rather taken aback by Viiral's... extreme method of waking his trainer up. Granted, he and his 'siblings' did worse to each other, but still.
"Anyway, yeah, turns out Fire Lady, uh. Well, you know that 'law of the jungle' thing? It's got nothing on her." Clay rubs the reddened burn on his arm absently. "I was gonna go find some water for Sandy because he's kinda dried out after keeping everybody cool. What are you still doing out here?"

"Oh, yeah, mine was pretty grueling too. Nearly broke both my legs and almost lost an eye." She uncrosses her legs and floats forward, letting Tessalon hang in her arms under her. "I was waiting for any of you to show up out here. Aren't we done here?"

Out of the Poison Guild emerges a moderately bandaged Sano holding a very angry-looking Mitis. He spots the pair near the wall, and hobbles over before analyzing Clay's wounds. As he gets closer, there are some fresh scratches on his face that look untreated. "Looks like you got yourself in your own mess. The Poison Guild is a little less serious than I hoped, but weak is not among the adjectives with which I would describe them." He looks at the sky, noting the time. "I was just grabbing a breath before finding a dorm room. What're you folks doing out here?"

"Apparently we're, uh, kind of expected to stay. Does Psychic Branch not have dorms?"
Clay looks around when Sano wanders out. "Oh, hey, Sano! Yeah, uh... maybe I could give you some of Fire Branch's extra seriousness... ness. Fire Lady sure seems to have a lot of it. I was just looking for Water Branch so Sandy could soak for a while. He's kind of dried out after helping people not roast to death." He grins sheepishly, running a hand through his hair - after sweating in the heat and being doused by Sandy it's looking rather limp.

"Dorms?" She looks quizzically between her compatriots. "I guess I was too busy fighting for my life that I missed it." Divini lifts up her staryu om front of Clay. "This guy might help you with you mudkip problem." She squeezes Tessalon a little and spurts some water into Clay's face.

It was approximately 5 PM when you were first asked to select a guild branch to join. The time is now a little after 6:30 PM.

"Oh, thanks!" Clay holds up Sandy to catch some of the water. "This little guy's a fighter. It was a close thing, but he and Fan managed to beat a girl who's apparently been here a year. She took it kinda hard; I think she's too used to Fire Lady's 'survival of the fittest' thing."
He looks at her curiously. "They had you fighting for your life? Huh? I'm starting to think Master Nob left some stuff out about the Guild..." Like everybody trying to kill new recruits.

Divini shrugs. "It wasn't that tough...." Tessalon floats out of her arms to make sure it gets every angle on Sandy, doing a thorough job. "I guess I'll have to check for dorms, hopefully its better than my apartment. If just getting into these branches was so frightful for you guys, I wonder what missions they'll send you on..."

After a bit of socializing with friends, everyone heads back to their respective dorm rooms in the Element Halls. Maybe you stay up longer chatting, maybe you get to sleep early. Whatever you do, sleep eventually takes you, and the night rolls on. That night, however, you all have a very strange dream...
As you sleep, you dream. At least, you think it's a dream. You are asleep, right? In this "dream", you stand alone among the ruins of a large city. Fires rage everywhere, and corpses litter the ground, blood running in little rivers all around you. "What could have caused this?" You ask yourself. Your feet begin to move of their own volition, walking you through the grisly scene. You begin to recognize faces here and there, though you can't recall where you've seen them. Suddenly, you stop, looking down at one particular corpse. This one is clad in heavy armor, a helm covering their face. You reach down, slowly lifting the visor and then removing the helm altogether...
While you do not recognize this person on sight, you can definitely tell that they were important. Her armor seems nicer than most soldiers. You see another body next to the Female Knight's, as if she were defending somebody with her dying breath. This one's face is also somehow familiar, though again you know not where you've seen it.
You then feel an urge to continue on, exploring more of the ruined city. As you pass some of the still-burning buildings, waving away the occasional wisp of smoke from your face, you see a large castle silhouetted against the night sky. It, too, lies in ruin. Huge chunks of the castle walls are missing, but there is very little rubble to be seen. It's almost as if the rubble were simply disintegrated. Proceeding into the castle ruins, you make your way past the bodies of several dozen more armored figures. Some have helms, others do not. All they share is the fact they are dead, and the insignia on their armor. Examining this insignia closer, you recognize it as a symbol of the Crown. These people may not have been "Knights of Kanto", but they most assuredly were guardians to the Queen. All lie dead, with not a scratch among them. Almost as if the very life were drained from them. You come across one Royal Guard whose eyes remain open. Instead of seeing a murky version of their normal eye color, such as brown or blue, you instead see a pool of blackness. They say the eyes are the window to the soul. If that is true, what does this mean? Do these people have no soul? This thought causes all heat to drain from your body. You feel chilled to your very core. You look away from the soulless eyes of the fallen soldier and proceed into the Throne Room proper. If you thought the outside of the castle was a scene of horror, what does that make this? The bodies of humans and their various Pokemon are scattered about where they fell, defending their Queen and Country to the last. You see several bodies piled around the damaged throne. One is garbed in an extravagant dress the likes of which are never seen outside of the Capitol. This must be Her Ladyship, Queen Carmen. She's quite beautiful, even in death.
A voice echoes in your mind as you stare at her pale, bloodless face. "This is the future as events now stand. Only you have the strength to prevent this."
The dream ends suddenly, and you awaken with a shout of "No!"
You have gained your first Milestone for being accepted into the Adventurer's Guild, and 'surviving' your entry trials.
