With less people in the room, Divini began to become more lax in her levitation, reclining back near where Tiki sat. "It's common for trainers to have a well balanced party of pokemon. It would make sense if we are to travel together, we should have a variety of skills ourselves", she suggests, "Maybe we can get a pamphlet..." She eyes Geneneive to check if she might be carrying such.

Tiki noded once more, and stood up. "Okay. As long as we can still hang out that is fine with me!" She put her hand on her hips, and smiled brightly. She then rubbed her chin in thought. "Hmmm...I chooooooosssse...ummm...Normal Branch! Cuz we are more than just normal!" With a victorious pose, Tiki and her pokemon took off running towards Genevieve. She turned back, and waved towards her friends. "We'll meet up later. See ya! Good Luck!"

Tiki
Genevieve smiles at you, welcoming you to the Normal Branch. She gives you directions on how to reach the appropriate section of the building, which proves much larger on the inside than its size would suggest. Must be some sort of magical nonsense going on in here. In your rush to reach your next destinanation, you run smack into someone. Even as you go to apologize, the fiery-haired woman glares at you, and an Apricorn Ball falls out of her bag, revealing a large, angry Fire-Type that matches its Master's glare as it looks down upon you. You may or may not recognize the Pokemon right away, but it towers over you and the person you ran into.
"Come, Pyro. This one isn't worth our time."
You find yourself shaking just a little bit as the woman and her Pokemon walk away, towards the Hall of Fire. Something tells you that you do not want to get on her bad side.

Tiki takes a shaky breath, and readjusts her pink scarf. "Ugh...The last thing I want to do is make enemies. People should smile more, right?" She looks down at her pokemon that are hiding somewhat behind her legs. She then picks them up with Star on her shoulder, and Justice in her arms. "I know, girls. New places, and new faces can be kinda intimidating. But, if we aren't making people smile, then who will? Everyone has bad days. Come on." Instead on running around the hallways, Tiki follows directions to reach the Normal Hall hopefully with anymore incidents.

Sano looks around for the Poison Branch. He has a history with poison types, so he'd feel right at home. They might be alright with keeping secrets, so he wouldn't have to make too much up. Plus, poison and medicine are just two sides of the same coin.

In the wake of Tiki's unbridled enthusiasm takes her away from the rest of the group, Divini shrugs to the others. "I guess we might as well poke around a bit." This may be a great boon after all; there may be psychics from which she can take from- uh, learn from. Divini calmly floats up and asks where she might find the psychic branch.

"Good luck!" Clay waves after Tiki until she disappears, then looks down at Fan and Sandy and back up at the departing Divini and Sano. "That goes for you guys, too! I'll see you around!"
Clay starts heading off in search of the Fighting headquarters, but after a moment he changes his mind. He can't just follow in Master Nob's steps forever, as grateful as he is to the old karateka for taking him in. He still feels as much connection to the fiery side of his adoptive family as to the Fighting side, even if he can't emulate it as well, so after a moment he turns and heads for the Hall of Fire. Hopefully they're not all going to recoil in shock from the fact that he has a Mudkip on his heels.

Sano
Upon declaring your intent to join the Poison Branch, Genevieve politely directs you to where the Poison Branch is located, near the back of the building due to the noxious fumes that occasionally escape from within. You approach the violet-colored doorway that is flanked by two people, a man and a woman, in strange garb that covers all exposed skin. They shift slightly to block your path.
"Hold, young one. Before you enter, you must answer the following question to test your knowledge: 'What venom is this with the following symptoms: Paralysis with some cases including Respiratory or Cardiac Failure."
Make a Medicine Ed check, Sano. Success means you know the answer and are permitted to join the Poison Hall. Failure means you must submit to some other form of test.
Divini
Genevieve seems unperturbed by your levitation, and gladly points you in the right direction. Once you reach the area she said it was in, you find nothing but an empty hallway. No rooms, no doors, no people. So either you were directed wrong, or this is part of a test to see if you're worthy to join.
Make a Focus check. Success will reveal the way, Failure means you cannot join Psychic at this time.
Clay
The Hall of Fire seems aptly named, as it's quite hot even in the area just outside of it. As you press further in, the heat becomes even more intense. You can't tell where the heat is coming from, precisely, but you get the feeling there are probably many Fire-Types hidden nearby. Perhaps you could find and speak to them to ask them to lower the intensity? Or, you could just power on through, ignoring the temperature in hopes it doesn't go much hotter.
To find the Fire Types and speak with them, roll Intuition. Otherwise, use Focus.

Sano
After a few moments contemplation, you answer simply "Arbok." It's a well-known Poison Type, and even known to be somewhat aggressive towards humans when encountered in the wild. The two welcome you to the Poison Hall, and bring you to a small room off to the side where you are given an outfit similar to theirs for your own protection. The Poison Master is currently working with some rather corrosive venoms, and they want to avoid any unnecessary injuries.
Once properly protected, complete with some sort of ventilator to filter out the airborne toxins, they open the door for you. Immediately a visible wave of purple gas washes over you, dissipating not much farther beyond. One of the door guards comments that stuff would have melted your face right off if you weren't protected, and you should keep any non-Poison Type Pokemon in their Apricorn Balls for protection. Inside, you see only a few handfuls of people, all garbed as you are, working at stations of some kind. There is a sign reading "Newbies head this way -->" pointing towards another, smaller hallway.
Divini
Sensing that this is a test of your psychic abilities, you close your eyes and focus on what isn't there, eventually finding what can only be described as a portal that must lead to your destination. Recalling any Pokemon for the journey, you float on through. On the other side, you somehow find yourself face-down on a cold stone floor with mild pain in your head from where you crashed into the ground. Something nullified your levitation, and is making it more difficult to rise. After a moment, the intense gravitational field subsides, allowing you to once again climb to your feet.
You can see several Abra just sitting around, sleeping (or meditating, it's hard to tell sometimes) while human Psychics (there are perhaps half a dozen, not counting yourself) meditate or study quietly.
Clay
Deciding to see if you can't make some friends (or at least turn down the heat), you use your innate connection to all Pokemon to 'feel out' a nearby Pokemon. You find a rather large, turtle-like Pokemon with vents on its back napping in a charcoal bed hidden inside one of the walls. With the vents on its shell pointed outward (into the hallway), it seems to be the main culprit for the intense heat, as you can literally see the waves of hot air coming off of it.
Tiki
After that run in with the scary Fire Lady and her massive Pokemon, you nearly jump out of your skin when you hear a voice call out from behind you. Glancing over your shoulder, you spot Genevieve and a handful of the remaining 'newbies' headed your way.
"Is something wrong, Miss Tiki? Did you trip or something?"

Tiki blinks, and lets out a breath of relief as she trots over. "Hi, Miss Genevieve!" Tiki then remembers her incident. She taps her toes on the ground, and looks down. "W-We...Kinda maybe got in trouble with some lady with bright red hair, and a huge fire pokemon! B-but it should be okay!" Tiki smiles as she holds Justice close.

Clay grins when he senses the presence of the turtle-like Pokémon that seems to be contributing a lot to the heat in the hall. He taps on the wall gently to try and get the Pokémon's attention - as much as a big, sleepy turtle practically begs to be pranked, making it angry is probably not going to make things any cooler around here.
Hi there! He doesn't recognize this particular Pokémon, so he just chitters at it the same way he'd talk to his Infernape family. Could you please tone down the fire a little? Some of us overheat easy and it'd be a shame if I passed out before I got to know you better. In his experience Pokémon aren't always aware of things like that - this isn't the first time he's asked a Fire-type to turn down the heat.

Sano heads down the hallway, following the arrow. He was curt with the guards, remembering the things his father made him do. He clutches the antidote he always carried in his pocket. Aloe looks puzzled, but happily soaks in the noxious gas. The Oddish meanders behind him, enjoying an entirely new environment. Sano looks disdainfully at one of the more excited station-workers, obviously also new. When you're excited, you're careless, and when you're careless, people get hurt. It's why a poisoner is only as good as their antidote. He continues down the hall with a quickened gait, Aloe tripping behind him.

Tiki
Genevieve sighs, a frown briefly clouding her normally bright face before it returns to her usual kind smile.
"I see you happened to meet Lady Ashandra, Knight of Fire and leader of the Fire Hall. Don't worry about her, she rarely likes anybody. Just be respectful when you must address her and try not to show fear. In her own words, 'I despise weaklings, but I despise cowards even more.' Just stay away from her unless you are absolutely required to interact with her. It's for your own safety, as she tends to injure students more often than not when attempting to show off or otherwise be intimidating."
She shakes her head.
"Don't worry about it though, you're with me, so I'll be sure to keep you and everyone else out of harm's way."
You follow Genevieve into the large hall with the character for 'Normal' inscribed on the door. There are dozens of people in here, and just as many Pokemon running about freely as their Trainers chat.
"Feel free to mingle with your fellow Adventurers. Today is just a meet and greet, so you can get to know everyone. If you have any questions, you can come and speak to me or one of my Understudys." She points out a few of the older Trainers around wearing special badges marked 'Officer'. After, she heads towards an office near the back to take care of what you assume is paperwork to officially register all the new Adventurers.
Clay
The turtle Pokemon lifts its head sleepily, huffing smoke out of its vents into your face in annoyance. After processing your request, it rolls over, pointing the vents the other direction and going back to sleep without further acknowledgement. Almost immediately the heat lessens, and you are able to progress towards the large, metal door with a symbol you assume means 'Fire' or something like that on it. The door is surprisingly cool to the touch, but as soon as you open the door you see a large stream of flame coming right for you! Instincts kicking in, you dive to the ground to avoid it, glancing back up in the direction it came from to see a young Adventurer like you running for the hills as a red-haired woman and her enormous, almost bear-like Pokemon laugh at his misfortune.
"Who is next?" She demands, eyes suddenly focusing on you. "You there! Kid! You think you have the guts to join the Masters of Fire? Well? Answer me!"
Sano
Following the signs, you begin to hear strange sounds coming from one of the offices in the back, with the door open just a crack. The office is labeled "Nalkeya, Poison Master", and the "Newbie" signs point directly towards it.

Tiki nods with confidence, and takes in the room. Chewing her lip, she thinks, "Hmm...Alright. Seems like a nice place, but this our first day! An ice breaker is just what we need to really liven up the place." A sly grin forms on Tiki's mouth as she sets her belongs down, takes out 5 red balls, sets 3 on the floor, and starts juggling 2 of them. She speaks with a little more volume to be heard at the far end of the hall. "Now, Justice, Star and I are natural born performers, and I can sense it in you as well. So, I want to incorporate you into the show! Watch and learn! Star! Hup!" Star then follows the command, and with a flick of her tail, knocks a 3rd ball up to Tiki. She then catches the 3rd ball, and begins juggling it as well with ease. After 2 more "Hup! Hup!" Tiki is now juggling 5 balls. She gauges the rooms reaction.

Yeah, that reaction is familiar too. Clay waves the smoke out of his face nonchalantly and carries on down the hallway toward the door... which opens onto what appears to be a giant fire-breathing bear of some description. Luckily, Clay isn't phased by having his hair singed a little, and he's fast enough to make sure that's the worst he suffers in the process of flattening himself out against the floor... and then rolling out of the way when somebody else sprints past.
Which is probably the most reasonable option when large Pokémon breathe fire at you, but with Clay's childhood minor burns were about as common as skinned knees, so he doesn't really have the same reaction to fire as reasonable people.
He hops up once the fire is gone, only to be challenged by the woman and Pokémon responsible for it. And that is a challenge. He's grinning again - and if the others were still with him they'd see him showing his teeth for the first time. "Do I have the guts?"
He steps forward and drops his staff to the side, as if to imply he wouldn't need it even if the woman and her Pokémon attacked him then and there. "I was raised by the Blazing Tree troop of Mount Moon! My adventuring blood burns hotter than lightning! I can outrun a herd of Rapidash, outfight a tribe of Primeape, and out-lie a pride of Persian!" He pounds his chest, open handed, and Fan leaps up beside him, firing off two powerful-looking kicks and breathing out her own tongue of flame before she hits the ground. "I'm Clay of the Blazing Tree troop, student of Master Nob! Maybe I should be asking if you have the guts to handle me!"
The boast is mostly for show; he hopes bravado will go over well, because he'd rather not actually go hand-to-hand with a troop of Primeape, or the firey-haired woman's big partner. But he can't resist a blatant challenge like that - if she's going to ask if he has guts, he's going to show how much guts he has. Meanwhile, Sandy's still sitting a couple steps back and looking bemused, as if wondering what he's gotten himself into.

Tiki
You certainly have the attention of most of those around your age, and those nearby. Some at the far end can be seen watching with some interest, but a fair few only glanced up long enough to see what was going on before returning to their prior conversations or tasks. There is a bemused smirk on the faces of some of the Officers, but they don't seem interested in stopping your show, merely watching and waiting to see what happens next.
One particular person decides to take your show as a challenge. He wears an odd mask and has an purple-furred Monkey with him. He pulls out a set of elongated, oblong objects and begins juggling them. Once he gets into his rhythm, he begins passing them back and forth with the purple monkey, adding more until he has 7 objects hurtling through the air at once.
Clay
The woman scoffs at your claims, clearly unimpressed. She raises a gloved hand and snaps her fingers, sending fire hurtling towards you! Humans normally can't do that.. and this is a big fire! You quickly leap aside again, feeling some of the hair on your left arm get burned clean off, leaving a light red mark across your forearm that indicates a 1st degree burn. And that was from it missing you by a few feet! You can only imagine what that would have done to you if you were even a bit slower.
"Bold claims for what amounts to a 'Wild Child'. Raised by monkeys, pah!" She narrows her eyes. "You seem to have what it takes to warrant allowing you entrance, as you haven't run screaming from the room yet. Whether you'll survive to reach the upper echelons of this Path... well, we'll just have to see."
She sweeps her gaze across those gathered in the room.
"All of you who remain are those who have the will to press forward! Your trials will be as harsh and unforgiving as an open flame. Handled with care, it becomes a powerful tool..." Her gaze lingers on a few of the students, yourself included, as she continues. "Handle it poorly, and you will be consumed by it. Your first trial begins now. Find a partner and battle them. I don't care who wins at this point, I want to see what you're all made of. BEGIN!"
The 'Lady of Flame's' speech finished, the various students quickly pair off, finding spots just far enough away from others to avoid cross-fire.

Tiki smirks as she watches the opposite act, while still performing hers. Tiki begins a song. She suddenly incorporates her knife into her juggling of 5 balls. She then kicks her legs back and forth in a rhythm as Star, and Justice, run and jump over, under, through, and past them. She then hops up onto a table; continuing her juggling routine. She then tosses out the balls one by one to be caught be her pokemon, she then holds out her knife's sheath as it lands inside of it perfectly. Tiki's song ends. She has a large grin, and a fierce fire in her eyes as she stares at the masked man.

Tiki
The man's Aipom literally jumps into the middle of his juggling and begins juggling as well between his hands and its hand-tail, all while being juggled as part of the act. Everyone in the room is paying rapt attention to the two of you. After a minute or two of being juggled while juggling, Aipom leaps out, catching and tossing the small balls it was juggling into a waiting container you didn't even see him set up. He then tosses each of his juggling objects in turn to Aipom, who tosses them up, juggling the entire set for a moment with his stubby arms, then flips them over his head to his hand-tail to be tossed effortlessly into the container.
The entire room bursts into cheers and applause for both you and him. He approaches you and offers his hand and sincere congratulations on performing such a risky maneuver with the knife, and the singing, and the table-jumping.
"My name is Jax, and this is my partner, Ace." The Aipom extends its hand-tail to you in a similar manner.

Divini rubs her temple as she floats forward. That was some entrance... She hovers to one of the nearest non-mediating humans and lightly knocks on the table next to them to grab their attention. "Hey there, future prospective member here," she says quietly.

Tiki. Star, and Justice all take a bow. Tiki then goes up, grabs the man's, and the Aipom's respective hands, and shakes them both excitedly and roughly. "I'm Tiki, and this is Star and Justice! Nice to meet ya!"
