Rei looks a bit flustered.
"I already explained why I can't, Tiki! I mean it looks like Clay's in the water now, I know he doesn't mind."
Rei points out their friend, hoping that'll distract.

She pouts really hard! But, she slumps, and slowly heads back to the water. She wades in the water, mostly submerged, blowing bubbles, and a certain shelmet still using her head.

Tiki will find herself visited by a curious Mudkip! Sandy paddles over to investigate the human blowing bubbles in the water, cocking his head curiously. After a moment's careful consideration, he reaches out and pats at her nose with a little webbed foot. That's what you do to make humans feel better, right?
A now thoroughly soaked Clay follows him over eventually. "For someone who wanted to come out here so bad, you look kind of down. You okay?"

When Tiki pouts and retreats, Rei feels terrible. And Clay consoling her makes it worse. She sighs. Rei takes a moment and looks around a bit nervously.
It's just them two, it should be fine. I'm sure I can get one of my pokemon to fetch me my medical kit or my Kimono if needed.
She plants the umbrella in the sand for the pokemon that gathered underneath, and stands out front and begins to disrobe. And underneath is a sight that really doesn't match Rei's demanor at all. First off, her undergarments appear to be battle tape, covering and keeping her chest tight to her. As well as wrapped tight around her hips for that protection. Other than that, Rei is practically COVERED in scars, of all shapes and sizes. (Notable new ones seem to be repeated stomach slashes and a gash in the shoulder) It seems her hands and face really are the only places untouched.
She wades into the water next to Tiki.
"Sorry, Tiki. But if my bandages vanish, you'll need to help me ok?"

Tiki boops the mudkip with her own nose, and gasps in suprise as Rei appears next to her. Her smile fades as she sees some scars. Obviously no fun times there...But, the fact Rei is here is awesome. She goes up to Rei, and gives her a big hug. "YYYAAAAYY!!" She beams.

Rei sees Tiki's face as she notices the scars. Rei makes a strange face, like she doesn't understand what's wrong, but seems to enjoy the hug.
"There Tiki, I'm risking indecency for you. That's how much I care for you as a friend. I'd hope you appreciate it."
Rei laughs as she remembers Sheru is still on Tiki's head, and moves her knight from her friends head to her own.

"I appreciate everything, Rei!" She giggles, sinks below the water, and quickly rises up, splashing everyone with water.
Tiki has tons of fun swimming, and playing with friends. She then travels a little bit further down the beach on the look out for new pokes. Wild Encounter!

As they break up, Clay rounds up Sandy and Baloo and swims out in the direction of an interesting rock formation in the water. He's only got the one ball on hand, and its pattern makes him think it might be good to use it on a sea-dwelling Pokémon. He clambers out onto the rocks, wet clothes clinging, and starts looking around to see if anything might be living out here. Baloo follows him on the rocks while Sandy paces him in the water.

Tiki frowns, and looks down. Tiki's job was to make people smile, but it seems she failed today...Welp. She made her way back to meet up with her friends.
Tiki sighed, and took a seat under Rei's umbrella. She felt tired, and this last battle seemed to sour the mood a bit. She played with sand until the others were ready to go.

Rei sighs in relief as the ball is captured, and then GLARES at Shinpuru. The Bidoof was about to try nomming on the ball, hoping to finish the job, until he notices his masters stare.
"Shinpuru, that's again you didn't even give it a chance to do anything but pop out! For all we know, it just wanted amusement out of the surprise!"
Shinpuru chitters back angrily!
But master, the creature was acosting you! I used my GREAT strength to defeat it nearly in one blow! Release it and I will make sure it never bothers you again!
"Shinpuru, no! I know you were just trying to protect me, but don't you remember? It's quite the reverse, isn't it?
Shinpuru freezes as he remembers he's about as sturdy as the Sandile he just took out. He looks up to Rei, and then above to Sheru, still on Rei's head.
One day, when you are not looking Sheru, I shall take your helmet, and then I shall become unstoppable!
Sheru can't hear this, seeing Shinpuru do that caused him to hide in his shell where he can't hear it anyway. Shinpuru skitters off, cause Rei to facepalm. She heads back into the water for a while until she notices Tiki sulking under her umbrella, and calls out to her.

Tiki moves around some sand with her foot. "Yeah...Everything was ok...I even caught some new pokemon! But, uhhh...I had a battle with this girl...and she got mad when she lost.,,said I ruined her day....So I just cam back to rest."

Rei shakes her head.
"I've had a couple of those, don't let it get you down Tiki. Some people just aren't going to be happy with a loss, I had one the other day. She just sorta ran off after we loss, not understanding that she 'could' lose."
Rei gets up, hoping a wet hug will help things, but as soon as she gets up she feels the upper bandages weaken and begin to slip. Rei turns red and crouches back into the water to hide. Almost seems out of character for Rei, considering her calm and collected nature.
"Ummmmmm Tiki can you get my Kimono?"

Tiki gasps and giggles. "Wow, Rei! I had no idea you were so mature! But, that doesn't mean you should be exposing yourself in public, silly." She prances off to grab her clothes, and comes back with 'em. She holds up the large kimono up to block anything. "Here we go!"

Rei quickly slips it on, and notices it feels very strange without the upper support. She doesn't like it. She'll have to wait till she dries off to apply more of her tape.
