Adventure Thread - Group A

Rei looks even more confused as Tiki runs off.

"Wait Tiki, what do you mean by ris- and she's gone."

Rei shakes her head dumbfoundedly and goes off to find a trainer instead.

The ocean seems to have no more answers than Clay does. It continues ebbing and flowing as normal.

Tiki has built what looks like 5 sand castles for each of her pokes. They are pretty extravagant for being made in such little time. Her 6th one is just a pile with a shovel sticking out, and a whole in the middle. For some reason it looks rather spooky. Tiki is done playing with this one...She then perks up as Rei has returned. She gets up, and runs to her. "Hiiiii Rei!! Where have you be-....Are you ok?" Tiki's hyper/happy personality pumps the brakes, and she stares at Rei. She easily can notice when someone isn't like themselves.

Tiki catches Rei as she drops, and stares at her while she recounts her terrifying encounter. She holds Rei very tightly in a hug. Tears run down her cheeks, and she shakes slightly as she tries to process everything Rei is saying. I should've gone along. I could've helped. Could anything be done? Tiki's thoughts race as she tries to piece together something to say, but she can only whimper, and hold Rei tighter, hoping that hugs will make everything better.

"Oh... damn." Clay caught enough of that from where he's standing on the water's edge to try out what he's pretty sure is a curse, and to hurry over, looking concerned. He's still got a nasty cut from where the Carvanha got him earlier, and has been puzzling over what to do about healing his team, but the condition Rei's in seems like a much bigger deal.

"Where did - you know what, never mind." Clay's not as good at hugs as Tiki but he's going to try, wrapping his arms around both of them. After a moment Baloo works his way into the hug, too, on the hopes that a small fuzzy Pokémon is good for hugging - he does his best to maintain a disdainful expression, but it looks like he doesn't like to see someone as upset as Rei, either.

Tiki helps Rei up, and keeps a good hold on her. Tiki drops off Justice to get fixed up, and takes the group to the local inn. Tiki is relieved that the mayor has actually got their room fair paid for. She makes note to thank her later, and before taking Rei to a room, she asks the receptionist to inform Sano that they are also here if he shows up. Tiki then shares a room with Rei to make sure she ok, and comforted through the night.

Rei wants to stop Sano from fussing over her wounds, already treated by the healers in town, but doesn't have the energy to fight him over it. But the hug is a surprise, and she accepts it.

"No... the healers in town took care of all they could today. They will need more attention later, they were really hurt. But... thank you."

She puts her arms around Sano to send the hug energies back.

"...I think I need to rest. As I believe that battle may have given us information on our targets, we will need to talk about that. But... not until we are ready to deal with the threat. I... don't really want to talk about it more than I have to yet."

Rei moves to one of the beds in the shared room, and tries to get some sleep.

Rei tries her best to fall asleep, and Tiki being nearby helps a lot. She's a bit... surprised when Tiki starts stroking her hair, and unbeknownst to Tiki, blushing a bit. But eventually, she feels the draining effects of the day, and sleeps.

She wakes in the morning, A cuddle-buneary Tiki behind her, nudging her. And Tiki brings up the miners.

...I had almost forgotten.

Rei gets up and looks at Tiki for a moment before looking away.

"Yes I should come at least see it through. And... thank you. For spending the night with me. I don't think I could have slept alone."

Rei's blush from last night returns for a moment before she shakes it off.

"Go ahead, I'll be a moment in here. I'll catch up with you outside."

Rei smiles, thankful for her friend. As Tiki goes out the door, Zumu slips in past her. Rei raises an eyebrow at the thing Zumu seems to have found. When Zumu hops up onto the bed and drops it, Rei does a doubletake. It's a pp up, and it's worth a LOT of money.

"Zumu... you didn't steal this did you?"

Zumu shakes his head. From the movements and noises, it sounds like Zumu was out and about and saw someone drop it. Knowing that Rei wouldn't approve just taking it, Zumu tried to get it back, but whoever had it was quickly lost in the crowd. So he brought it here.

She picks it up, and places it in her bag. If she finds whoever dropped it, it'd be a good idea to return it, but if she can't. Well that's a LOT of supplies. She begins scratching Zumu's tummy, who flips over, quickly loving it.

"Zumu I have to thank you. I haven't even used you in battle after I caught you, and yet I think I owe my life to you. You managed to blind that large snake and I think it made it miss what would have been deadly attacks. I... I can't thank you enough."

Rei wraps the normal type up in a hug. Zumu's not sure what all the fuss was about, it was just a big snake. Sure it took him out eventually, but Rei was alright, so everything must have gone ok after he was knocked out. She lets him down to lay on the bed for a while as she takes her journal out again. Concentrating, she makes a couple of rather potent wards, and pockets them. She then begins sketching that strange mask. It takes her a while. Flashes of the man assaulting her cross her mind as she tries to draw it. Her mind tries it's best to stop her, bringing back the pain, and what dark things could have happened to hear and her pokemon had she lost. When finished, she closes the book with an alarming snap and practically shoves it in her bag. She starts breathing quick, almost seemingly having a panic attack. She concentrates a moment to try and calm herself.

"Don't let it bother you... You are ok... You are ok..."

It takes a moment but she seems to calm herself. With a sigh, she lifts herself up and heads to wash up and change. As she puts aside yet ANOTHER kimono to have someone fix up, she sees the short skirt kimono that she was given by JoJo after winning. Knowing that she's not going to be heading into combat today, maybe wearing this will cheer her up. She puts on her soft light blue prize, and releases Shinpuru out into the room. Shinpuru, looking about as worse for wear as Rei herself. Gone now is the determined warrior face he puts on, replaced with one of empathy. He moves next to her, and she pats him on the head.

"I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. Never change, my warrior, my hero."

Rei gives him a kiss on the head, and Shinpuru gives a chittering reply of 'Aw shucks'. Rei heads outside in her new outfit, and finds where Tiki is. She takes a moment to train her team, hopefully some easy stretches and similiar excersizes will help heal their wounds quicker. She turns to Tiki.

"I think I'll have to take it easy but I'm ready."
