Adventure Thread - Group A

Sano's attention snaps back when his name is heard. He's been analyzing the area for possible ambush sites. It'd be good to know the best places to set one, and avoiding being ambushed is useful too. 

"Yes, I'd be more than willing if they allow me."

Clay happily translates, but the offer is quickly rebuffed. They don't need help from humans! With everything said that needed saying (as far as they're concerned), they all quickly disappear back into the grass.

Clay watches the bushes warily for a moment, just in case the Zangoose decide to do something weird like jump them when they turn their backs. He backs up to join the others with a sigh. "Yeah, they're kind of a pain. Least it doesn't seem like they're going to come after us."

He shakes his head. "Today has just been a mess, lemme tell ya. Bed sounds really good right about now."

Tiki returns to the guild with friends, and in enjoys some well needed sleep. In the morning, her routine consists of heading out with her troupe, and working out some routines for a future show.
She also meets up at the mess hall to eat, and feed her lovable pokes. While feeding her new Nidoran, Tiki pulls out a new card from her deck. "Your name iiiissssss.....Empress!" Empress continues to lap up baby food with no reaction. "I knew you would love it, and so do I!"

A good night's sleep leaves Clay feeling significantly better, even if the sight of Red Child's and Baloo's injuries reminds him just how badly he's been getting trounced the last couple of days. More training is clearly necessary. Fan doesn't seem to object; she's full of rambunctious energy after her own enforced recovery. On the other hand, Baloo is making a show of milking his injury for a chance to be lazy on his first full day with a trainer; the little bear Pokémon (he really needs to find someone to read him his Pokétome) basically seems to slack off every time Clay's attention is off him.

Clay's particularly surprised when one of Fan's rambling expeditions comes back with some sort of vegetable. It looks like a big old onion stalk, but Clay is surprised to discover it's as hard as wood and feels almost like a deliberately-balanced weapon in his hand. What is this thing? And what do you think I'm gonna do with it, sis? Fan just shrugs and goes back to mock-sparring with Sandy. Even the relaxed little Mudkip is looking a little antsy after a day with nothing to do, and has thrown himself into training eagerly. Flower seems to be enjoying herself as well, twirling around and drawing her flame out into a little spiral of fire as Red Child watches enviously.

Once training's done for the day, Clay heads into the dining hall to meet up with the others. "Scouting sounds like a good plan. I need to find a way to round up more money somehow, though... maybe we'll find something that needs doing up in Cerulean?"

Baloo has rather boldly clambered up into Clay's lap to steal his breakfast rather than wait to be fed. He gives the other humans at the table an unimpressed look. "Oh, yeah! This is Baloo, everybody. Guess I didn't introduce him last night. Weirdest thing, he knows the same palm-strike technique I learned from the troop. He's a..." Clay pulls out his Poké Tome and flips through it, looking for Baloo's picture. "Right, here, he's one of these." He holds his Tome up, open to the page on Pancham.

Rei watches as Tiki happily shows off her new capture, and Clay shows off it's type.

"Well it seems you were busy before we all went out. Well done."

And as everyone brings up traveling to Cerulean, Rei makes a bit of a concerned face.

"It was made apparent we didn't need to go immediately. And as Clay seems to be, I too am out of funds. If we find ourselves in need of healing, then he and I might be in a bit of trouble. Of course there might be fund-raising options there, so we could leave for the cape town now."

Rei thinks for a moment.

"I believe one of the quests was helping Branch leaders out with research... Maybe a trip to the water branch itself might do to ask to see if there's anything the cape town can provide them?"

"Sounds like a great plan to me!" Clay has no idea how you actually do research, and is somewhat shaky on what research actually is, but getting paid sounds like a nice thing to be doing, especially if it can be accomplished while they're working on the poacher issue. "I've got no idea where Ground Branch is but I think I remember the way to Water..."

Team Cliki
Tiki drags poor Clay along by the hand as she dashes off to find the Water Branch, which Clay is only just now remembering that he never actually found. This should be fun! Thankfully, being one of the larger, "primary" branches, Water isn't difficult to find. The fact that it's Hall is directly opposite of Fire's just seems appropriate.

Team Sei
Before Sano or Rei can even move, Tiki has dragged Clay off down the hall in the general direction of the Water Branch. What do?

Rei just giggles as Tiki abducts someone again. It's at least someone besides herself now. She turns to Sano.

"So should we try heading for the Ground Branch? See if they have something like you suggested?"
