Tiki could go through everything she had planned on saying, but it was all washed away, and replaced with, "Blarggurglgurglegulp.....Huh? Bwuh? Oh hi there!" Tiki pulls her soggy self off of Clay who was a fabulous crash mat. "Hehe! I'm ok! I'm Tiki from the Normal Branch, and that's Clay from Fire! We are her to meet with the branch leader!"

To be fair, Clay is actually closer to capable of keeping up with Tiki than many people. On a good day, anyway. Even post-sleep and -breakfast he's still a little down from his losing streak so he's not as high-energy as usual... which leads not only to getting dragged along with Tiki, but also to not being quick enough off the mark to get out from behind her. So now he's soaked and underneath her. "Eh. Boss lady's tried to do worse."
That doesn't mean he's thrilled about the water, though. He shakes his head, sending water every which way from his hair. "Right, what she said. We were going to visit the big wet place and want to see if she wants us to ree-search anything." The emphasis is a little wrong there, he's rattled and trying to remember how to say it. Also he's lost the word "ocean", though it's possible he wasn't really clear on that one to begin with either.

Tiki giggles, but then really looks at the girl. She's in charge of the water branch, and so young! Cool! "So you're the head honcho of this branch, and you look the same age as me! That's sooo cool! Oh, andwe were heading to Cerulean! We can check out watery pokemon in watery habitats like the beach! Especially the beach!"

"Right, yeah, the big wet place at the beach. Gimme a break, I grew up in the mountains, I never saw the place until like a year ago." Clay waves a hand dismissively as if not knowing the word "ocean" is perfectly normal.
The intelligence that this girl is the branch head seems... surprising. "Wow, boss lady's like twice our age, you must be really good. 'Course, she shoots fire on purpose." He looks around vaguely, wondering whether the girl did that on her own or if there's a Pokémon around. "... How do people do that, anyway? I didn't think that was a thing humans could do. I mean, yeah, psychics I guess but I didn't think they could shoot fire."

Tiki's Water Clone giggles and blushes at Clay's compliment. "To be perfectly honest though, I'm not the official leader of Water. I'm just the unofficial official leader while Mom is off someplace, doing something. I dunno what she does. Maybe 'research'?"

Tiki hops in place excitedly. "I love swimming for hours too!!!" Tiki and her obvious new friend continue to fangirl over water until she finally calms down. "Annnyyywhoooo....Is there anything we might need to do some field work for you guys? Also, is it possible for your branch to sponsor us? We are pretty low on money, so a little help would be great. If not, are you familiar with Cerulean so we could find a way to get some money while there?"

The "unofficial official leader" of the Water Branch ponders a moment before responding. "Nope. Can't think of anything special you'd need to do 'field work', but I've never done field work. I get distracted too easily. Mom says that my mind is like 'a babbling brook, never still and never quiet' hehe. But yah, like I said, I dunno what 'research' stuff Mom would want you guys to do. She usually does it all herself. Something about 'if you want it done right, gotta do it yourself'." She shrugs.
"Sorry. Oh! Also, I dunno if 'sponsoring' adventurers is even a thing. I've never heard of it being done. Not to say it isn't or couldn't, just that I haven't heard if it has."
Team Sei
Finding the Ground Branch proves somewhat more difficult than, say, finding Grass or Water. Turns out, there is a small "tunnel" of sorts leading down beneath the main Adventurer's Guild building, at the bottom of which are three huge stone doors, each with a different symbol on them. From left to right, they read "Ground", "Fighting", and "Rock". Heading over to the one labeled "Ground", you try to push open the door, only for it to not budge. It's not so much that it's locked, just seems to be extraordinarily heavy. Granted, it's made from pure stone, so it's bound to be heavy, but surely there is a way in.

Tiki scratches her head, and frowns. "Hmmm...Well ok then. I guess we'll see you around then!" Tiki takes Clay's hand again, and zooms off. "Byyye! I promise to sure to come play with you again!" Tiki then gasps, and slams on the brakes. "Ohmygosh!...Wait! What's your name!?"

Shinpuru rushes for the door, squeaking 'I've got this!' and starts pushing on the door. When its apparent the giant stone door won't open to a minute bidoof, Rei herself joins in! Shinpuru's athletics (lol)

The giant stone door seems to move just the barest amount before you can no longer hold it back and it settles into place once more. There must be a trick to opening it.

In your haste to go find Team Sei, you end up running right out the front door and down the road!

When Mitis moves aside, your foot sinks down a little bit and you realize that it's a moving tile. Both Sano and Rei can hear a faint click when the tile is stepped on. Maybe now the door will move?

Team SeiThis time pushing on the door has the desired effect, and it slides aside with ease despite its size. Obviously it was a door puzzle meant for initiates to see if they have the mental capacity to actual observe their surroundings. Thankfully, all the smells tracked in by people's shoes led Mitis right to it. As the door swings open, your senses are assaulted by the smell of earth. Walking inside, you see that everything seems to have some sort of sandstone motif going on. Everything is made out of some combination of sandstone and other materials. However, it all looks the same inside, making it somewhat more difficult to navigate. As you contemplate which direction to try first, a door to your left opens up and an older* man comes literally gliding across the sandstone floor tiles towards you. The surface of the tiles ripple as if made of water as he passes over them.
"Welcome to the Ground Branch. Is there something I can help you youngsters with?" The man's voice seems soft, like a gentle breeze carrying fine particles of sand across the desert. He has moderately tanned skin and short cropped dark hair. His garb seems like a loose, flowing robe; almost sage-like. This is the best representation of my description, minus the silly bird-thing in there. Just imagine him with shorter hair.
