Zoey seems calmer now and pats Baloo gently on the head while Clay talks to Genevieve. The Normal Branch Leader produces a sheaf of paper and a quill pen from somewhere on her person and scratches out a note for Clay that will give him access to the Guild Archives. She does caution him that some of the books and papers there are rather old, but the people in charge of caring for the Archives can offer more details on that.
Just then, Zoey sits back up with a start, as if she'd just remembered something. "Oh! Baloo! You want to evolve, right? I just remembered what you need to do! You need to fight alongside of a Dark-Type Pokemon! Yeah! Then you instinctively absorb some of their residual energy and become a Dark-Type too! Or at least, that's what I remember from that book on Dark-Types that... Mom..got me...when I was six..." Aaaand now she's sad again.

Tiki sighed as she watched Zoey. It seemed she was just some lonely girl....or was that just some act? Although she probably had enough time, or strength to strike out at them if she was dangerous. Tiki scratched her head, and groaned. She then looks to Zoey. "Zoey...You...seem super cool, but your mom has really messed things up. We were forced into this situation, and it is probably the end of the world if we don't stop her. I don't know how, but we have to stop her one way, or another. We are graspin' at straws to find some kind of help. I even came out here again for the sole purpose of finding Entei. We need all the help in the world. Only so many are implying to help us out, or not all. Ya said ya wanted your mom back, right? Well can you help us stop her from what she's doing, and make her listen to ya?"

Clay thanks Genevieve, then turns back to Zoey when he hears her talking about how Baloo evolves. "Really, that's how it works? I've been trying to figure that out for like a week! I guess we need to find a fight for him and Mufomono, or sometime you and I are fighting together, or something like that."
Baloo smiles rather smugly from next to Zoey. Clay sticks out his tongue at Baloo, then comes back over closer. "I promise, if we can find a way to get your mom back to normal, we'll do it. I just hope knocking some sense into her will help, it's kinda what I'm best at. Uh, that was a joke." He chuckles quietly and looks up at Zoey. "I'm sorry I snapped at you. This whole thing has just been kind of a mess. I just... I guess I don't know what it's like to have your parents suddenly change like that. My... well, I was raised by a troop of Infernape, so my perspective on parents might be kinda weird."

Zoey looks at Clay quizzically. "So, what you're telling me is that you were literally raised by monkeys?" She tries (and fails) to stifle a sudden fit of giggles at the thought. Fan (and probably Clay by extension) is unsure why this is so funny.

"You'd have found out a lot faster if we were still staying at the Guild. Basically everybody who doesn't like me calls me 'monkey-boy.' Or if Fan was here - she's part of my troop, kinda like a little sister. I was giving her a break today though." Which is another reason he's glad Entei, Suicune, and Raikou - and where did those other two names come from? - showed up and chased D'Mara off.
He unslings his staff from his back and twirls it. "It's kinda why I fight with a stick. I don't have a tail, so it helps with balance and stuff when I try to fight like an Infernape. Infernape fight with every part of their body, but I've got one less body part, sooo..."

"I mean, they're not usually strong enough to hit people with, but they can light 'em on fire, that kinda makes up for it." Clay shrugs and looks over at Tiki. "So what now? We... well, we found Entei. I gotta admit I wasn't sure we were gonna. And we've talked with Miss G. What do you want to do next?"

Tiki taps her chin, and hums. "I'll definitely help Miss G back to the Normal branch members, and theeenn....Hmmm...I haven't caught anything in a long while. Maybe a new addition to the family would be nice. Perhaps I'll look around some more here in the fields. You guys got anything important to do?"

"I mean, I've got Miss G's note to check in the Archives now, but I can do that any time pretty much. And I don't have Peng today, so I don't wanna get separated too much. If you wanna stay out here a while I'll stick with you." Clay puts his staff away again, then wiggles his fingers absently. Something in his hands still feels strange after holding on to Entei's power.

Tiki nods. "Alrighty then. Come on Miss G. Let's get you back to the branch." Tiki helps Miss G onto Chariot's back, and she hops on as well. "You guys can wait here. Chariot will get me there, and back in no time! Hang on tight Miss G!" Chariot zooms off at Tiki's command, and rushes towards the Normal branch camp.

Clay waves as Tiki speeds off, and stretches his arms out. Quietly, he says to Zoey, "I'm sorry you had to find out about the whole mess this way. I guess there... really isn't a good way to find out something like that, though. This whole prophecy thing has been really messed up, honestly. I joined the Guild to see the world and to meet other humans outside the dojo, not to wind up fighting people's parents."

Once Miss G is properly looked at, and taken care of at the Normal base camp. Tiki wishes them safety, and rushes back to the watering hole. Tiki's mind goes over what had happened in this short period. Miss G in combat with D'Mara, Zoey is D'mara's daughter(!), and those legendary beasts seemed to have..."bonded?" with them. These seemed like pretty big developments to say the least. She would break down the details later, but now was to do some searching. As Tiki came closer to the watering hole, Tiki pulled out her tome to check out pokemon. She checked out some pokemon classified as Normal type. She settled on a large pokemon called a....Ka...Kang?....Kagna? Whatever it was called, it looked really strong. She waves to the others. "I'm back! Miss G is doing good. So, ready to look for pokemon?"

"Ready when you are!" Unfortunately, Clay had never seen one of the Pokémon Tiki was looking for, so he wasn't much help in figuring out where one might be found.
Eventually, they'll have to head back to Celadon. Hopefully Rei is still up, because they need to have a... talk.

Without much success at finding these rare pokemon out in the plains, Tiki was ready to return to Celadon. It was weird that they had found 3 legendary beasts, and D'mara out here, but not these normal pokemon they started searching for. Anyways, it was back to the castle town upon Tiki's mounts.

Having not had the chance to do it that night, Clay swallows his lingering irritation with Rei and goes to bed, asking Zoey and Tiki to come meet them back in the inn's common room in the morning.
When that morning rolls around, Clay's up bright and early again. He's trying to stay in the habit of getting up with the sun, even without a troop of monkeys or a dojo of martial artists around him to make sure he doesn't try to sleep in. Rather than go out to train, though, he'll wait and have breakfast early, so he can be sure he's there when Rei's up (and hopefully well-fed enough to not get more angry than the situation deserves out of being hungry).
When he sees Rei he'll wave her over. "Hey, Rei? Some, uh, stuff came up yesterday. We need to talk about it."

After having 'another' evening ruined by her own insecurities, Rei's dreams were wracked with more of them. She didn't get a lot of sleep, and she wanted to get more shield training in, and in this state it's not gonna be fun. She sees Clay wave her over, and claim 'stuff' happened, her mind swirls with crazy scenarios. She walks over.
"Alright... what happened?"

Tiki enjoys doing...Tiki things. The rest of her day goes fine, and she heads towards where Clay wanted to meet up. Hopefully Zoey was there to lighten up things as she waits around until Rei shows up. That is the signal to frown. Tiki sighs, taps her foot, and crosses her arms. She gives Rei an annoyed look. "Well...First things first." Her eyes flash a bit of a sorry look to Zoey if she's there. "Something pretty important..."

Clay's expression is... weird, because it's one of his close-lipped smiles without any actual humor in it. About as close to a grimace as one can get without showing teeth. "Okay, this one I really can't blame you for, but you know how you were saying we shouldn't break the news about D'Mara to Zoey until we had evidence? Yeah, guess who was out on the plains when we went out there yesterday, having a magic fight with Miss G."
He sighs quietly. "I know I said keeping this one a secret was gonna bite us in the tail if we left it too long. I was expecting 'too long' to be more than a couple of hours, though."
