Adventure Thread - Group A

Tiki watches from behind Clay as the large beasts....do something? She watches the bright, colorful orbs float towards them. Her eyes lock onto them, and she slowly approaches. She gazes at them as the light shines in her eyes. "Wow...." She looks between them, and reaches out towards them. Her hand drifts to beautiful blue colored one. "What...are they...?"

Everything around Tiki kind of fades away as her eyes stay locked on the orb. The chill of her hand dipped in water, and the heat/power radiating off the orb is incredible. With a gulp, she slowly grasps the orb with both of her hands.

Clay feels an intense heat race through his body, which immediately causes him to begin sweating profusely. The warmth doesn't hurt, it's just... strong. Intense. Like holding a miniature sun in your hands.

Tiki once again feels that same chill, like a northerly wind just blew through her core. Then the subtle warmth returns.

These feelings are fleeting at best, but when you 'return' to the regular world, you feel changed. If only slightly.

The three beasts watch Tiki carefully. They make no move to stop her, but the blue one makes no move away from her either. When at last her hand rests upon its head, it feels almost like she's touching water at first. It's purple mane flows as if constantly blown by the wind. Up close and personal now, the three beasts are even more impressive than before. Nonetheless, they make no attempts to speak or communicate in any way. It occurs to Clay and Tiki (for reasons they can't understand) that perhaps they can't communicate in a way that humans would understand. They're clearly sentient, but either they choose not to or are unable to communicate except through the bond that the three share with one another.

While Tiki very slowly and very carefully examines the blue one, whose name she somehow knows is 'Suicune', she can feel the other two as well. Not just in that she is aware that they are nearby physically, but she feels some sort of connection to them. It's faint, but there. She can also feel Clay in a similar manner, though his essence feels a lot like Entei's. If she concentrates just a bit, she can also very faintly feel something else. Something... bright and warm at the edge of her consciousness. Like the sun shining down on a warm summer's day. She can feel that, whatever that warm feeling is, it is something above and beyond the three that stand before her now.

"I sure felt something." Clay looks a little flushed, like he's just run a long way. He takes a deep breath and slowly approaches Entei, inclining his head slowly. The fact that these Pokémon don't seem to communicate even on the same level he does when he channels is a bit startling... especially when he can clearly feel that they communicate somehow.

"This is... so weird." He wonders if that heat is what it feels like for people like Ashandra or Ashley who can throw fire. He reaches up slowly to brush his fingers along Entei's mane cautiously, his head sort of on one side. He's not sure what's going on here but Entei is obviously in charge. It's entirely possible he's forgotten about promising to explain things in the excitement of what's just happened.

Tiki rubs her head. A LOT certainly went down right now. One step at a time...."Miss G? Are you ok? You didn't get hurt did ya? And the Normal branch? They ok?"

Genevieve manages a weary smile for Tiki. "Yes. Everyone's fine, Tiki. D'Mara may be sneaky, but there is a reason I selected this area for us to make camp in." She motions at the wide-open plains all around. "Nowhere to hide. I'm tired, and a bit beat up, certainly, but nothing that I won't recover from with a good night's sleep."

Zoey continues to glower at Genevieve, who obviously is not in a mood to be in answering questions about why she and Zoey's apparent mother were fighting. Clearly, she's exhausted and hoping that Clay and Tiki can take care of explanations for Zoey.

With their task done, the three Legendary Beasts loose their cries once more before darting off in three separate directions and vanishing quickly over the horizon.

And now comes the big problem: when you say "I can explain everything," people expect you to do it.

Clay sighs heavily and plops on the ground in a somewhat overdramatic sitting position. "Okay, let's do introductions. Tiki, this is Zoey, she's D'Mara's daughter. Rei and Holly found her when they found a secret passage from the city underneath Celadon into D'Mara's house, 'cause she'd apparently been kept locked up in there. Zoey, this is Tiki, and I'm Clay. Us, Rei, and Holly got a prophetic dream from Darkrai that we need to stop your mom before she destroys the world with the power of the god of death, who's a big ugly bird, which she has now because she, like, killed the old one and ate it or something. I don't know how this Usurper thing works, but she wants to take over Celadon City so we have to make her stop and either get her to promise to be a proper death god or give the power to someone who will. And Rei is the girl I'm going to strangle because she thinks keeping secrets about this stuff is a good idea even though the only times we've ever gotten anything done with this stupid prophecy has been by telling people and asking for help."

Tiki can only shake her head. She really isn't sure what to do with Zoey now. She looks to Genevieve. "Hey, Miss G, did you notice a change? In D'mara I mean. How active was she at the guild, and when did that change? Anything you might know?"
