Tiki gives a pouty face to Zoey, and gets up. "Hmph! Anyways, yes, that is what I saw last time. Let's get going!" Pokes Zoey in the side with her foot, and motions to the Rapidash. Toppo snorts towards Clay to hop back on, and Tiki directs the group towards the old watering hole. "Make sure to keep your eyes peeled. Make sure not to spook it either."

Zoey climbs back aboard Chariot and hugs Tiki's waist like before so she doesn't fall off. Along the way, she comments that if it really is a Legendary Pokemon, it probably doesn't want to interact with humans a lot, so it will probably just run away again. Not that Zoey would mind much. Even catching a glimpse of the real thing would be awesome! She's jealous Tiki got to see it first (even if she had no idea it existed until today).

Once Zoey is in place, and a nice hug later, Chariot starts with a nice trot through the fields. "It didn't stick around when I saw it last, but hopefully it isn't too shy this time. With Clay around, we might even be able to communicate! Hmmm...Could you even catch a legendary? That would be mega cool!"

Zoey hmms at the thought. "I don't think that would be a good idea. Even supposing that it didn't screw up the world by accident, considering that this 'Entei' is only a minor legend based on what that book said, I still don't think it would appreciate the attempt. Then again, I could be entirely wrong! I mean, I'm not getting involved if you want to challenge it, but I'll definitely cheer you on!" Zoey grins.

"I think Zoey's probably right, honestly." Clay cants his head thoughtfully as he guides Toppo to follow Chariot to the watering hole... though if he remembers right, Tiki found Toppo out on the plains to start with, so he probably knows the place just fine. "Of course, if we talked to it and it decided it wanted to join up, or let you try to catch it, that might be another thing. A lot of Pokémon like a good fight at least."
And even if they didn't catch it, maybe they could still talk it into helping out. The more allies the better, after all - though Clay didn't want to bring this up directly, both because they were being cagey around Zoey and because talking about their whole prophecy mess tended to bring Tiki's mood down sometimes.

"Yeah yeah yeah. It's cool is all i'm sayin'." As the group comes up closer to the watering hole, Tiki has the mounts slow down to just a slow walk as she peers out over the vast fields. "Seing anything nearby?"

Approaching the watering hole, the group immediately sees something out of the ordinary. There is a field of inky blackness clashing with a slightly smaller spot of bright light. Similarly, it looks like there are two Pokemon-sized blurs fighting one another near to the first set. Pulses of purple/black energy fly from the area of darkness towards the glowing spot, and are countered by sparkling stars that fly back into the darkness in an attempt to seek out the foe that must be hidden within.
While Clay and Tiki are staring with bug eyes and dropped jaws, Zoey cries out. "MOM!" She screams as she leaps off of Chariot's back and runs towards the fighting.

Oh, that's not good. That is so not good. Clay has a sinking feeling about that big black blob even before Zoey apparently recognizes her mom or her handiwork. He's not sure what's up with the bright light, but if it's fighting D'Mara it can't be a bad thing. Not to mention that Tiki said the Normies were out here...
"Zoey, stay back! Oh, damn!" He digs his heels into Toppo's back and sends the Tauros a message he knows he'll understand. "See that big black thing? We need to be there. Charge."

Even with the fact that Tauros is a powerful, quadrupedal Pokemon, and can keep pace with a Rapidash at full tilt, it somehow is unable to keep up with the speedy Zoey. Now, in a prolonged race, Toppo could probably easily outlast Zoey, but as it is now, her speed combined with her head start allows Zoey to miraculously outpace the Bull Pokemon. She quickly whips out an Apricorn Ball from her belt clip, releasing ZsaZsa onto the field as the two continue to rapidly close on clashing figures.

Tiki looks on worriedly as something not right is happening at that watering hole. She then gasps as Zoey starts running off towards it. "Huh? What!? Zoey, wait! Come back! Chariot, after her!" With a whinny, Chariot breaks into a gallop towards Zoey on foot. "Zoey it's dangerous! Stop!"

Chariot has better luck than Toppo at catching Zoey, but she's too far ahead now. The Rapidash overtakes ZsaZsa the Zoroark relatively quickly, but Zoey proves to be just a smidge too far ahead to catch easily. Who knew Zoey was so quick?
"LEAVE MY MOM ALONE!" She shouts as she closes on the brightly lit figure. She gathers dark energy between her hands and hurls a purple and black orb into the surprised figure's back, staggering them for a moment. Thankfully, it's not enough for them to be taken out, as even with their surprise they manage to evade the shrouded figure's next strike. Zoey and ZsaZsa don't give up there though, as both begin charging up more dark-type attacks.

This was Zoey's Mom? The one she never saw around? And, why was there so much dark energy around?.....Tiki had a awful, sinking feeling, but Zoey was going to get hurt if she butted into a fight like this. Tiki attempts to break up the fight before it goes on further. Chariot banks to the side, and flanks the fighting figures. She has Chariot spit lots of fire in between them to pull them apart. "Alright! That's enough! Cut it out before someone gets hurt!"

Genevieve's voice rings out from the brightly lit figure. "Get back, all of you! This fight is beyond you! Trust me, please!"
Zoey counters with another shout to leave her 'mom' alone as she and ZsaZsa throw their Night Daze attacks at Genevieve to try and force her to back off. Now that everyone is closer, they can see a Delcatty fighting against what looks like an Absol, only the Absol is red where it should be black. Just as the Night Daze attacks (Zoroark's signature move) fly at a distracted Genevieve's back, another of the Normal Branch Leader's Apricorn Balls opens up. An enormous, dog-like Pokemon appears between Genevieve and Zoey/ZsaZsa's attacks, taking them in her place.
As the fight begins to get even more heated, the sky suddenly begins to darken and an icy gust of wind blows through the area. An enormous stroke of lightning strikes the ground between all combatants, and a yellow furred, cat-like creature materializes from seemingly thin air. No sooner has this new creature appeared when it unleashes a deafening roar. From the North, a blue/white canine figure with a purple mane arrives with an acknowledging cry. It blows away the field of darkness that shrouds Genevieve's opponent, revealing that it is, in fact, D'Mara. She and her Pokemon peel off from Genevieve and begin attempting to fight off these newcomers; clearly they seem the bigger threat to her. Tiki recognizes them from the book, but alas cannot recall their names at this moment. She knows they're related to Entei though. Likely part of a Trio, as so many other Legends are.

"Miss G!?" Tiki gasps when she hears the familiar voice of the guild leader. She gulps when she looks over to see that she was indeed fighting D'mara, The source of all these problems. Tiki shakes her head, and rushes up to Genevieve's side. "Miss G! Miss G! What's going on!? We got to get out of here!" Tiki looks on worriedly as other legends show up. They weren't what she came looking for, but now wasn't the time for pokemon hunting.

Clay's frustrated with Toppo's relatively-slow progress, even if it's still faster than he can run. How in the world Zoey manages to outpace a Rapidash he doesn't know.
But... yup. That's D'Mara, and a red Absol, would explain Red Child's weird report. Where did D'Mara find a red Absol? He doesn't have much time to worry about that, though - there's Genevieve fighting D'Mara, and Zoey has jumped right into the middle... on the wrong side. Which is the other reason Clay had wanted to hold her back.
As much as he hates to admit it, Miss G is probably right about D'Mara being out of their league, especially with no legendary back-up and no Rei here. He really, really wants to fight D'Mara, but this is obviously not the time or place. So instead he vaults off of Toppo's back and bounds toward Zoey instead. "C'mon, Zoey, we need to -"
He was about to try to explain something about the situation, but he gets cut off by a thunderbolt and a gust of wind. It's not hard to tell that these are more than ordinary Pokémon. He takes a couple of steps back as that roar echoes loud enough to reverberate in his chest. "... Wow."
Well, they got what they wanted - they've made contact with legendary Pokémon.

Amazingly, D'Mara seems to be holding her own against two Legendary Pokemon at once. That Absol of hers is something else, man, and the woman herself is no slouch either, even without resorting to her own suspected Legendary Power. Of course, that's when the third one shows up. The one the group came here to see. Entei arrives on the battlefield, spewing flames that make Red Child's attacks look like a baby Pokemon's first ember attack. If D'Mara was hard pressed before, she's struggling even more now. Her Absol goes down, and she is forced to unleash some sort of enormous power just to push the legends away long enough to effect an escape.
Meanwhile, Zoey and ZsaZsa were still struggling against Genevieve's Stoutland, which proved able to tank their hits quite effectively even without instructions from its trainer. Even so, it seems to be holding back against Zoey, deliberately hitting ZsaZsa only as much as it needs to to weaken it and force an end to the fight. When ZsaZsa is unable to continue fighting, the large, fluffy dog Pokemon knocks Zoey down and pins her until D'Mara flees.
Once D'Mara has been driven off, the glow that Genevieve had been emitting dies down and fades away. Genevieve looks exhausted, but quickly rounds on the three people behind her.
"Alright. I think the three of you have some serious explaining to do," she begins. "You should have fled when I asked you to. You could have gotten killed!"
"But that was my Mom!" Zoey protests. "Why were you trying to hurt her?!" She struggles under the weight of the Stoutland, who has safely and securely pinned her to the ground.

Tiki waves her arms about as she looks to Genevieve. "What do you mean!? We couldn't just leave you to fight her! Where is the rest of the branch?" Tiki then turns to Zoey. "And, you! D'mara is your mom!? You didn't even know she's going to cause a calamity!?" She then turns on Clay. "And, you!! Did you know!? Why didn't you tell me about Zoey!?"

Clay groans and throws up his hands. "This is the last time I listen to Rei about not telling people things. I swear I'm gonna tell her exactly how much good it did."
He shakes his head. "Okay, I promise I'm going to explain everything. Or everything I know about it. I don't think anybody's gonna like it, though." If circumstances were a bit less upsetting, he'd be amused that Miss Genevieve has made good on his occasional threat to have a large dog sit on people just so they'd stay put.
"But first I kinda wanna talk to our friends over there as long as they're still here." He lifts his head and gazes toward Entei and its companions, if they haven't left already. Then he turns his eyes down, very deliberately, and approaches them slowly, trying not to look like a threat. He's discovered that there's only so far away he can be when he channels something, which makes the problems he's sometimes had communicating with the troop over long distances make much more sense.
He pauses at the limit of his range and pushes his spirit out toward them. "Can I come closer? I want to talk to you." He glances up quickly toward them before turning his gaze away again, remembering how he's seen Red Child look with a Pokémon when he's trying not to pick a fight, and makes a low whuffling noise. He probably doesn't actually have to imitate a Pokémon's vocalizations when he channels, but it does it just about automatically at this point.

Tiki taps her foot with her hands on her hips as she glares at Clay, but softens up when she does remember the legendaries. Those answers would have to wait. Tiki also lightly shuffles her feet right behind Clay as she looks up at the large, intimidating Entei. She wondered if it recognized her. She waited quietly to see if Clay could make contact. It was also strange since these legendaries didn't seem to have people talking for them.

The spiritual essence of the three Divine Beasts is nearly overwhelming, and that's just from reaching out to them! Thankfully, none of the three make a move to attack or run away. Yet. In answer to Clay's query, Entei and the blue one open their mouths and small spheres of energy begin to appear. These aren't attacks though. It feels like.. something else. These orbs float outward and hover in the air, as if waiting to be claimed.
(Touching the Orb will grant the user the Signer Class for the remainder of the campaign, granting the Signer access to a Minor Gift from either Entei or Suicune.)
