Tiki nods along with Clay's explanation. "Hm. That's...um...Wow. That does sound pretty important. I guess I'll come with. With my pokemon properly taken care of, It'll be much easier on my mind knowing that they're ok. When did you want to go?"

"I was gonna go up tomorrow after I'd trained a little and picked up Fan and Sandy. I'm gonna run back to the Guild tonight." He gives her a sideways grin. "I think you'll probably be fine with your little army around here, and the Fighting Branch is probably the safest place in the Guild - whether the Usurper's really D'mara or not, they seem to like Dark-types. You wanna meet me in Saffron tomorrow and we'll go up together?"
He pauses thoughtfully. "If you can't make it, or something goes wrong, just tell one of your bird Pokémon and send 'em to me, okay? I'll send Peng for you if I need to - if you see him without me you'll know something's up." Because of course Tiki wouldn't understand Peng, and it's not like Clay can write a note.

"Alright then. I'll have Tootsie on stand by to go out, or receive info from any birds coming my way. I'll see ya tomorrow then, but do be careful in the guild. I wouldn't be surprised if the dark branch had some trick up their sleeve."

"I will. I promise. You be careful too, all right?" He leans forward and gives her a quick, tight hug. "And... thanks. I know you wanted to be done with this mess. I do too. I just don't think it's done with us."

Tiki returns the hug. "Yeah...I know." Tiki sees Clay off, and returns to her pretty big, and extravagant room. Most of her pokemon are here, excluding some of the bigger ones. Her guild room was pretty crowded, but that all so much room to spread out here. This would be a decent night sleep for once in a long time, but it was back to business tomorrow huh? Tiki tucked herself in for the night, and got some well needed rest.

It's been a long day, and Clay's been at least a little on-edge for most of it, as if he expected the Usurper or her cronies to jump him and Tiki at any time. Once he's back at the Guild, he relaxes quietly in bed - well, sort of in bed, really more "on top of Red Child, who is in his bed". Red Child takes up significantly more of the bed than he does.
One way or another, the next couple of days at least are going to be busy ones. He strokes the mane of the sleepy Arcanine underneath him. "Time to rest up while we can, buddy. Things are going to be pretty tight from here on out."

Having collected Fan and Sandy from their tutoring sessions, Tiki will find Clay waiting outside the Guild when she arrives, flanked by Fan and Sandy, with Red Child looming behind him, Peng on his shoulder, and an extra bag bulging with the apricorn balls containing the rest of his team. His shiny new staff - granted, she saw it yesterday - is slung across his back, and he's ready for their little expedition whenever she arrives.

Tiki never knew what it was like to sleep on such an amazing bed before. It worked wonders. Tiki had another big day as she needed to travel back Saffron, and then Cerulean. As to not waste time, she quickly assembled her team, told the boys where she was headed for a bit, she hopped on her tauros, and sped off to Saffron. Upon finding Clay, she waved. "Hey, Clay. Everything been ok?"

"This morning was alright. Had a great night's sleep too. Might as well get moving if we're ready." Tiki wasn't feeling great about seeing the Rei, and especially....Eh. They had to go either way. Tiki turned her big bull around, and was ready to set off towards Cerulean.

Clay swung up onto Red Child's back. Fan joined him, while Sandy returned to his apricorn ball - small as Clay and Fan were, they were probably an okay load for Red Child, but Sandy's new heft as a Swampert adding on to that would probably be too tiring. "Okay, let's get going!"
A thought strikes him, and he quacks an order to Peng, who's already taken to the air, around head height for the two mounted humans. "Go on ahead to the human town we're heading to and find Rei and Holly. There's a Lucario with them, I think he can translate for you - tell them we're on our way, okay? Not an emergency, but we're heading up."
"You got it, boss." Peng waves a lazy salute with the foot that clutches his leek and wings off ahead to the north. Clay probably should've sent him on a while ago to let Rei know when he was coming, but it honestly only just occurred to him that Piesc could translate a message carried by Peng. "Just letting them know we're coming. Let's go!"

Rei sighs when she hears the news. She nods to peng and goes out to wait for Tiki and Clay. She can't tell them 'not' to come but she's clearly not in a correct headspace for this right now. But like with Holly, she'll just have to suck it up for now.
She and Holly are outside to greet them. It clearly looks like Rei is distracted and kinda maybe doesn't want to be there but she waves them down as they come in anyway.

When Tiki sees the pair, she inwardly groans. She isn't ready for this. She still gives a small wave back. Clay seemed to have an idea of what to do, so if Tiki just stayed quiet, she could get through this with as little pain as possible. "Hey...We're here." She hops of Toppo, and tends to him to avoid conversation.

Just add Tiki's feelings to the list of things bothering Rei, it seems. At least she 'came' so something good must have happened. Wasn't Tiki's trial supposed to have happened? Rei desperately wants to ask, but can't build up the courage to ask. Best wait for Clay to distract everyone.

"Hi Rei! Hi Holly!"
Clay hops down off of Red Child and strokes his mane lightly. "You get my message okay? Sorry I didn't send it earlier but I kinda only realized this morning that Piesc could translate." He gives an embarrassed little chuckle as he recalls Red Child. "I was planning to come up tomorrow - the Fighting Branch is training up near Mt. Moon. It's an "extended training exercise", but every branch is doing it sometime in the next couple of days and Instructor Mason sorta agreed when I asked whether it was because of the Usurper stuff and the attack on you, so we think what's going on is that the Guild is evacuating so the branch leaders can deal with D'mara."
He pauses thoughtfully. "Ashandra thinks the other leaders are cowards for it. I guess she would, though, wouldn't she? She was talking to this weird little orange cat thingy with huge pointy ears when I got to the Fire Branch but it disappeared when I came in. You ever heard of a Pokémon like that?" He holds his hands up in a V-shape on either side of his head to demonstrate, then realizes he's chatterboxing on and breathes out slowly. "Sorry, I'm rambling. How have you two been?"

"Giratina was here." Holly says with as much venom as she can muster. "It's presence made Rei upset again..." She goes on to explain how if Clay ever meets it, he should never ever trust a word it says. Based on what little she knows about it from her Sister, it was cast out of the realms by Arceus (y'know, that one Pokemon who is said to be the God of Gods), and now rules a place called the "Distortion World"; supposedly as punishment for whatever it got cast out for in the first place. She also briefly mentions something about a 'weird light' in the woods to the north and advises Clay stay away from there as well.

Rei is silent during Clay's explanation of the evacuation. She gets a bad pit in the bottom of her stomach. She tries her best to settle it for now, but she has a BAD feeling about all of this, like maybe she should have just stayed quiet.
"...I can't say that I've heard of that one. Pokemon that can vanish are pretty rare but most of my knowledge lies within the spirtual realm and those are the only 'vanishing' pokemon I know. Have you checked through the tome?"
And as Clay asks how they are doing, Rei is about to blow off the question when Holly just blurts it out. She glares DAGGERS at Holly. She just sighs and steps off to the side with her back to the rest.

Holly matches Rei's glare with one of her own. If Rei wants to discuss her sharing this 'problem' with the others, then she may, but Holly does not regret telling Clay. Tiki.. well, she still doesn't like Tiki and the feeling is obviously mutual.

Tiki gives a glare to Holly from the corner of her eyes while looking at her pokemon. Geez. Holly was good at not keeping Rei happy. And, getting nasty looks was well deserved of course. If everyone was in a bad mood, things weren't going to get done, but fixing this was not going to be easy. Tiki just shrugged, and looked back to her pokemon. Let Holly feel the heat from Rei because she didn't care.
