Luke chuckles at Catelynn's exclamation, some of his nerves eased by her exuberance. He's a bit surprised when she manages to calmly pet the rather agressive Abaddon without problem, and smiles at that, though he blushes at her praise. "Yeah, they're pretty great, though the other contestants... they're pretty good too themself. I kinda doubt the fights will be easy, but I feel we'll have a decent shot at winning this thing." He was getting excited at the prospect. He might actually end up victorious in his first ever tournament! How's that for average!

Before entering the building, Jack recalled the Mankey. He knew they could be somewhat aggressive, and didn't want to make more trouble for Nurse Joy. Walking in, he headed straight for the counter and handed the nurse his pokemon, the Mankey and Venipede in pokeballs, and Bolt outside of his, asking her to give them a thorough check-up since they had been through a few battles. Following the pleasantries, he decided to head over toward David while he waited, and to attempt conversation once again.
"Hey David," he said cheerfully, seeing the older boy on the computer. "You know, if you went out to the route you could probably find some pokemon that might interest you. I bet there are plenty of pokemon around here you can't find in Hoenn," he said cheerily.
"Anyway, I hope you'll come join us for dinner at the Rusty Pelipper tonight. Since we're going to be traveling around together for a while, it might be good to get to know one another a little better. And besides, you might just like some of the local food if you give it an honest try," he said with a grin.

Oh, joy. Him again... Dave thinks, when he hears the getting-to-be-familiar tones of the younger boy.
"I've already gone out," Dave retorts. "Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean I've just been sitting here, twiddling my thumbs. I'm just waiting for Hal to be healed."
"Fine..." he says, sighing. Supposedly it's good food... and I'll have to get used to the three of them eventually. Or, at least until they run out of things to ask - although, that seems doubtful, since they're Unovan... "As long as that food-thief isn't going to be there. I actually want to be able to enjoy a meal."

"That's great! But...food-thief...? Oh, you mean Luke's friend Cat. Well, I hadn't invited her, but I can't imagine anyone stealing food off your plate," he said with a grin.
"So you went out on the route? Did you find any pokemon? Did you catch any?," he asked curiously.

"Well, of course I do," Dave replies, with a similar-but-slightly-more-irritated even tone. Even if this facility can't seem to properly take care of him... At the thought, Dave glances over towards the desk, wondering how much longer it would be... and if there would be any bugs caused. "I found a Purrloin, and a Budew."

Catelynn smiled "Well remember, I'm counting on you to win. Though since you're gonna be on TV anyways, I guess it doesn't matter as much. Everyone already saw how brave you are." She twirled Rose's ball on her finger for a second before looking out towards the woods "Well, I'm gonna go try and catch another Pokemon. I wanna be able to give you a challenge the next time we battle. Bye!"
Dave and Jack
As the pair talks, one of the nurses approaches "Sorry for interrupting Mr. Dyson, but your Pokemon is now fully healed and ready to go! We hope to see you again" Her voice sounded strained as she said the last part, though it didn't take near as long this time for Hal to get healed up.
She turned to Jack on her way back "It'll be just a few minutes longer for you Jack. Also, great job out there today! You made the whole town proud!"

Luke blushes again at Cat's praise. "It was nothing, really..." he mutters.
He waves at her as she leaves, smiling. "Good luck! Bye!"
Once she's gone, he looks at his Pokémon. "I think that's enough training for today, don't you guys think? You guys deserve some rest. Get back." He returns both Maia and Abaddon, leaving only Gawain out of his ball, before heading inside the center to see if the others had arrived yet.

"Alright, thank you." Dave says, in a tone that hints that he probably feels the same enthusiasm as the Nurse.
"Anyways," he says to Jack, "Goodbye. I'll see you... well, at dinner I suppose." Yay... I can't wait. With that, he goes back to the computer, both to finish looking at the Team Plasma stuff, and maybe get some more general information about the region. Hmmm... he thinks idly, maybe Hal can help me get into some of those other sites I couldn't manage to earlier. Stretch the circuits, and all. See what this upgrade can do, maybe.

Jack scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Jeez...well, thanks," he said, slightly embarrassed. "And it's fine...there's no hurry. Bolt and the others deserve a good rest," he said.
He looked over at Dave. "Goodbye?," he asked quizzically. "Are you going somewhere? I'm not...I'm still waiting for my pokemon...," he said, slightly confused. "So whatcha looking at?," he asked, looking at the computer over Dave's shoulder. "Anything cool?"

Agh, Dave thinks, as the other boy follows him. Well... I suppose this is going to be my life, now. At least for the next few months. "If you really must know," he says, a tiny bit testily, "I'm researching Team Plasma. I'd never heard of them before today, but I might as well find out what I can before hitting the road."

As Jack hovers over Daves shoulder, they both hear the doors to the Center open, Gawain charging towards the pair, searching around for Bolt
Luke can see Jack and Dave huddled around a computer, the younger boy leaning down and looking at the screen, as the pink haired teenager visibly rolls his eyes. For the first time since he met him, Bolt isn't on Jacks shoulder, the little Pichu being oddly absent.

"That's right, you're not from around here," Jack said, peering at the website. "Well if you have any questions about them, I'd be happy to help. I know a little bit about Team Plasma, and-," he started, suddenly cut off as the door opened and Gawain scurried around his ankles.
"Oh, hey Luke, hey Gawain," Jack said cheerfully, waving his friend over. "How'd your day go? Find any cool pokemon out on the route?," Jack asked eagerly.

Luke chuckles as Gawain dashes off and looks around for Bolt, obviously not finding him. He waves at Jack (and Dave, by virtue of him standing right next to Jack) and walks over. He nods at his questions. "It went pretty well, caught two mon, a Patrat and a Deerling, so that's nice. How 'bout you guys?"

"That's really cool," Jack said with a grin. "Dave saw a few pokemon, but decided he didn't want to catch any of them. I found a Venipede and--you'll never believe this, but a wild Mankey! Me and Bolt managed to capture the Venipede and convince the Mankey to join up on our team after Bolt battled with it," he said excitedly.
"Pretty cool, huh?," he asked excitedly.

As if on queue, one of the nurses comes out with three pokeballs, though one is empty as Bolt barrels into Gawain, the two Pokemon chasing each other back and forth between their trainers legs.
The nurse stifles a laugh as she hands the Pokeballs across to Jack "I'm glad to see that Mankey ended up finding someone to take care of it, it's last trainer was a real piece of work"

Dave glances down at irritation to where the pair of Pokémon were running around nearby. "Would you mind going elsewhere to let them run around? For instance, outside?" He makes a curt gesture towards the door. "Some of us are actually trying to learn some stuff about the region, because they didn't live here." Also, I'd like to see what Hal can do, but if I've learned anything from my stupid sisters... it's never let your opponent know exactly what cards you're holding. Stupid Shedinja... He grimaces at the memory.

Jack largely ignored Dave--not particularly meaning to, he was just far more interested in what Nurse Joy had to say.
Jack took his pokeballs, replacing them as Bolt scurried around with Gawain. "You knew who that Mankey's old trainer was? When I was talking with the Mankey it was trying to tell me it had been abandoned. Who was its trainer?," Jack asked curiously.

The nurse bites her lip nervously "I'm not so sure I should say, he was a patient here after all, and we can't just go around telling people everyone who comes and go through the Center. But it should be fine if you knew that he was actually a former competitor in the Vertress Conference. He was all set to win too...Anyways, I have work to do." Before she makes it too far she turns back "Oh and Jack, do keep an eye on the time"
As if on queue, everyone's stomachs growled nearly in unison. It had been quite some time since they had eaten
