Silas has no plans of taking any food from this woman, especially given the chance of it being poisoned or drugged. "Let's just keep going."
As they prepare to enter the back section, Silas isn't really sure what to expect. Omega did mention a tendency to deviate from official blueprints, so there could be a full factory behind the door. On the other hand, a small operation run out of a large bedroom would explain the low supply that Requiem claimed to have.

Soleil's eye slightly twitched at Silas's comment. Obviously he had no way to know about her special senses but she didn't like the idea of moving in without a moment to inspect.
"Yeah, right after the cookies that is." She added to Silas's remark trying to ensure a few moments.

Silas shrugs in acceptance at Soleil's insistence on cookies. "Alright." He's going to be thoroughly annoyed if they have to beat up a whole secret base because the rest of the team doesn't have the strength to carry a drugged Soleil out of there.

Frowning without any particular subject, Thoron states, "We aren't here to impose... Still. Some of us may require a moment to rest, and it would be impolite to spurn your hospitality." Given that Requiem would know they were wary of any tampered food, it would have been foolish to try to drug them. Reckless, even, and that didn't seem likely. Not that the thought motivated him to actually request anything from the host... "Be that as it may, I do not require anything at the moment."

"I'm sorry," She says, as she rummages through cupboards, "But I don't have cookies. I have... various attempts at making nutrient paste palatable." She grimaces at that. "Unfortunately, I haven't made it up to the top recently in order to replenish my actual food. Oh, but I do have fair amount of alcoholic beverages, if you want to cover up the taste of the aforementioned paste. Some of those are nice though. Actual berries. Not that synthahol stuff."

After staring at the door for a moment Soleil shakes her head, "No, no, that's fine then. Let's go ahead and look, please."

Thoron was surprised that she didn't have better accommodations for herself, given how successf- how much of a problem Prescient Powder was rumored to be. If she could have given it for a drastically reduced price, then it stood to reason manufacturing it wasn't expensive of itself... so where was the profit going? Obviously, it could be at a second residence, but to be lacking in most basic niceties here was still odd. Sure, having proper foods and somewhat nice furniture was an improvement over the last home they'd visited, but he had expected something more... lavish.
While he seriously doubted any of his teammates would accept an alcoholic beverage in Requiem's base of operations, he still said, "That's quite alright, we would all prefer to continue on, then." Whether it was the whole truth or not.

"Very well." She gives a small smile. "I can't say that I blame you." She heads for the clearly locked door, but, rather than pulling out a key or anything, she places her hand over the lock, before opening the door. ưDŽǁǎǁƃǏżǒǁǎǕżƿLjǁƽǎLjǕżnjǏǕƿDŽDžƿżǎǁǏDžǀǑǁżNjNJżǐDŽǁżLjNjƿLJƈżƽNJǀżDžǐżǀNjǁǏżǏǁǁljżǐNjżljƽǐƿDŽżǐDŽǁżNjNJǁǏżǐDŽƽǐżǕNjǑżǏƽǓżNjNJżǁǒǁǎǕNjNJǁƊżƄƩƽLJǁżƽNJżƫƿƿǑLjǐżơǀǑżƿDŽǁƿLJƅÓ Through the door is a surprisingly spacious - it probably goes back a good thirty meters - and, mostly plain, and fairly dark room. There's plenty of open space, as well as several open boxes in one corner, with what looks like vials in them - all empty, though. The most noticeable feature of it, though, is filling up the back ten meters, is a brightly lit, wall-to-wall, floor-to-nearly-ceiling... fishtank. Swimming inside, languidly, are what are probably hundreds of awkward-looking rust-coloured fish. There is, however, a noticeable lack of what one would typically consider a production facility. "Quite relaxing, isn't it?"Perception checks, if you please.

While Thoron had to admit the room was relaxing, that was relatively low on the list of observations. First was probably the decidedly Pokemon-shaped creatures occupying the fish tank. Perhaps that was where most of her wealth went: growing more of these fish? Although it was a rather obvious question, Thoron asks, or rather, states, " While the ambiance is quite peaceful, I see nothing suggesting the room is for production. In fact, the only striking feature would be your rather impressive aquarium." Perception: 17 Pokemon Edu: 18

Soleil made sure to stand close to Requiem in case of a trap while mostly just acting like her normal social self.
Her eyes quickly skimmed the room. Some weird fish, empty vials, boxes, but not much else. She felt around with her wind sense curious if there was some secret door that she could feel wind flowing to or from.
However, she didn't like the room. It was closed off and made her think of a basement or a dungeon. Her smile flickered for a moment as she quickly shoved the memories of her past out of her head and quickly put her smile back on.
"I can't say it's my cup of tea, but that's not really important. So...I see empty vials? But not much productiony stuff."

While the size of Requiem's fishtank is rather impressive, the fish seem to lack the ...grace required to create a relaxing atmosphere. Still, Silas is forced to wonder how she got all of those fish. Were all of them smuggled in from various places? Did they somehow breed in captivity? The logical conclusion would be that they are part of the production process somehow, but it's hard to believe that these dopey-looking fish have any relation to prescience.
Since his teammates have already asked the key question, Silas starts to think about the production possibilities based on the information he has. With how Requiem opened the door, it's possible that psychic interference is involved in the extraction or production process...

Moving time. Time to move. Move. Shove off. Move dat booty. Go. Hurry. Moooove.Leslie rolls onto the floor, face up, which is not what she wanted. Face up means she either goes a sit-up to rise, or rolls half again more to do a push-up. Both options are bothersome. One motion is best, obviously. Which is why she lifts her legs up and over her upper body, curling that in turn until her legs pull in and she's actually on her feet what the heck? Shenanigans, shenanigans on all of it. This girl can just knock that off right now. Getting to her feet after Requiem had already opened the door and went in, Leslie is the last into the room. She takes note of the noteworthy; boxes, spaciousness, tank full of contraband Pokemon.... "Fish." Everyone probably wishes that was her only remark, but she has one more for you. "Mrmmm, cozy."12 Perception.

"I see," Requiem says, simply. "There's no mechanisms, and so you assume that there's no production. Well, then, let me demonstrate." She ushers you towards the center of the room, gesturing towards the vials, which causes one of the capsules to come shooting to her hand, only narrowly missing Silas. Requiem gives him an apologetic smile that has only the thinnest veneer of sincerity. "Whoops."Getting to the center of the room, she gestures once more, and one of the fish slowly makes its way through the air, flopping, before being suspended in front of all of you. "As I'm sure you're all aware," Requiem begins, "The creatures known as Pokémon are primarily energy beings. It's one of the challenges many see in Arcadian life. With very few exceptions, you cannot eat any part of a Pokémon, because they simply dissipate upon death." As she's talking, the fish is slowly floating towards her now outstretched hand, until it's floating about a half-meter above her palm. "But, such things have other purposes." She clenches her fist, and the fish suddenly vanishes into a sparkling cloud of white energy. An amount of powder floats in the air, before flowing into the vial in Requiem's other hand, which she deftly corks. "Normally that energy either vanishes, or is absorbed by a nearby Pokémon, to strengthen it. But if contained, and infused with other energy, it can take on other properties. Such as mental energy apparently granting it precognitive abilities." She looks askance at Silas, before turning to the rest of the group in turn. "As you can see, this is an entirely natural process. Are you still insistent on shutting it down?"

"Huh?" Soleil asked blinking confused. However, before she could ask her head suddenly darted to the side and looked in the darker area. She drew her camera quickly, pointed toward the darkness and snapped a picture to release a quick flash of light.
Meanwhile she quickly extended her wind senses in that direction to focus and feel around.

Whatever purpose the live demonstration served, it had been... informative. For one, Requiem appeared to be more than the average Arcadian in terms of pure function, as well. A second, that they weren't as alone in her fortress as she would have them believe... an altercation with such unknown variables would be exceedingly reckless. It also opened the possibility of an ambush, but then why go through the trouble of a demonstration at all? Regardless, priorities: Keeping Requiem unwise to their knowledge, alerting the others to the hidden audience, and extricating them all from this location.
For now, one of those seemed attainable, and so Thoron said, "Pardon, but in just what way is converting a Pokemon's energy into a preservable medium, and then having hapless citizens absorb it as though Pokemon themselves defined as natural?" He was at a loss for how to inform the others about the more pressing matter, but after a surprise photograph from Soleil, he wondered if perhaps they knew about the issue already?

"Iiiiii only do 'insistent' about a few thinnngs. Like howww whatever shows and games I currently enjoy are obviously the best and all the rest paaaale in comparison. Or how Arcadia is the personal toilet of anyone living Oooover it." She yawns, and continues. "Aaaa lot of things beyond those tend to be open to debaaate."
Leslie has three options of what to stare at in the room, four if she throws in the fish tank too, which she does. It is rather calming, considering it is a whole mess of Pokemon for one place. There's Requiem herself, and she's altogether not a bad subject for staring. The unseen she can't quite see can be stared at, but it's bothersome when she can't point at where it is. And lastly, there's Angel. Angel. Aaaaaaangel.
Leslie STARES at the purple feline-thingy.

As Requiem showcases her production methods, Silas's mind is split along two lines. The first sees the psychic energy swirling around the Pokemon, crushing it into a new form. This part sees a threat and desires a preventative attack, neutralizing the threat before it can do anything more. The other half of his mind sees something fascinating. Why would an energy being transform into a powder that has a predictable effect on the human body after being compressed with mental energy? What would happen if other types of energy were applied?
With her last line, Silas has made his conclusion about Requiem. While her mental power may be strong in one area, it's clearly weak in another. Reasoning ability of a steel brick. His conflicting desires are tipped to one direction as the psychic showcases her inability to provide meaningful answers. "Want to know something else natural? Disease. That doesn't make it good for you. But we both know you lost any chance for diplomacy when you started with force."

After listening to Silas and Thoron, Requiem scans the group before her. "I see." She sighs, closing her eyes. "I had hoped that it wouldn't be like this. But, it seems that most of you are simply far too closed-minded. If you're going to insist on remaining automatons to the system, then I'm afraid that you'll not leave here." She sweeps her hand towards the fish tank, and, one by one the Magikarp begin to dissolve into energy - slowly, at first, but it looks like the phenomenon will soon engulf the entirety of the fish in the tank. "Now, though," she says, as this is going on, reopening her eyes, and looking towards everyone, particularly Soleil, "I'm sure that if we just talked, you'd understand. Those of you who have an open mind at least. Then we can have a civilized discussion once we get rid of those who refuse to free themselves from the system." She gives a bit of a sneer towards Silas. "Since I'm sure you'll not embrace freedom, I'll give you another option." From in the corner, above the fish tank, a small bluish-green humanoid begins to float down from the darkness. "You can carry on with your life like nothing happened, beyond the unknown loss of your team. You won't remember anything. And no one has to die."Angel simply stares back at Leslie, before padding over towards the door, assuming a sphinx-like pose next to it, and staring at the group of humans. Soleil thinks for a minute as a stray thought crosses her mind. Her group had been rather dismissive of her earlier. Forcing her to just be some damsel, interfering with her plans, and to be fair the guys in the group creeped her out and seemed like idiots. Leslie, meanwhile, just seemed weird.
However, Requiem had seemed pretty nice and if she helped that meant cookies and games and fun! Plus the pokemon seemed really fun. The strongest thing, however, was the fact that Requiem had blatantly shown weird powers. Meaning she was someone like Soleil! Someone that wouldn't judge her or treat her badly because of it!
For a brief moment, fear of getting kicked to the Under scared her enough that she almost pushed the thoughts aside, but then she realized how long Requiem must have been doing this without being kicked out. If she helped Requiem then maybe she would have a place where she could be herself and also be valued and useful. Surely she wouldn't be useless to Requiem?
She rubbed her temple for a moment as she tried to think, but she was having a hard time focusing over the fact that Requiem had seemed so nice and likeable and cute and friendly... Plus she was really pretty! And not at all creepy or weird like the Technicians.
At the same time, while Requiem seemed way cooler and nicer and such, Soleil didn't dislike her team enough to want to kill them or attack them. Besides, that would just attract more Technicians. Not to mention the whole lacking a weapon meant that she would have to use her powers and she didn't want to do that unless she was sure that nobody would escape alive.
Soleil's eyes struggled to move away from the beautiful Requiem, but eventually she forced them away to look at the cat. It seemed to be blocking the door.
"Ummmm maybe you could just let them go and could move stuff... Killing Technicians would just draw more attention and more focus." Soleil quickly added trying to help both sides. "A fight really doesn't help any side as much as talking does."

Completely ignoring Soleil's request, Silas meets Requiem's gaze. His expression is naked contempt, and his voice dripping with venom as he replies. "Freedom? I did this to free myself from people like you. You might be able to control the others, but my mind is mine."With that, Silas releases his Parasect from its Pokeball and orders it to neutralize the biggest threat. "Put her to sleep." The bug complies, happy to have an excuse to spread its spores. Parasect used Spore on Requiem.
Auto-hit Sleep and Poison.
