Kyria might have understood the reason for staying out of the fight, but the young ferals obviously don't, because they follow after the rest of you at first before noticing Kyria's gestures. The Gastly turns back around and chitters. Kyria glances at the gastly and the other ferals as they rush by and sighs. She replies quietly. "Because I don't want to see you all get hurt, we've encountered this exact situation before and they woke up and attacked before we could arrive."

Melanie sighs and hisses a response back toward the Gastly. "Just wait. It's safer this way." Sure, Mawile's saying something, too, but Melanie has no idea what. She spins her staff and turns back to Spoink, her voice a low whisper. "Get as close as we can, I guess. We at least need to scare them off. I'll take the Klefki. You get hurt, get behind me." She's fairly sure she's the sturdiest out of the three of them. She moves forward, padding as quietly as she can along the left wall. Melanie to P6 Stealth check to not wake up the ferals: RsZRKx0i2d6 Add 2 to that Command to tell Gastly to stay put: 1d6+4 2d6·1d6+4

Lewis was nervous as he followed behind his allies, however, through understanding his own limitations in the sneaking arts, the eevee was able to minimize the damage...for now Stealth Roll C4PwVKeI1d6 Lewis to Q7 1d6

The three explorers quietly navigate their way along the wall, and seem to have better luck than their previous attempt at sneaking around the stairs, because the snoozing ferals remain asleep (although the Klefki stirs slightly as you get closer.) Behind you, the Gastly floats a little closer, though it doesn't actually follow, apparently contenting itself with watching from afar.

Melanie glances around at Eevee and Spoink briefly. "Ready?"She makes her move as quickly as she can, charging forward to strike the Klefki with her staff. If the Koffing wakes up, she may take a hit, but she wants to try and get a good blow in before the Klefki is up and going. Klefki are known to be irritating opponents, and she doesn't want the Steel-type causing the other two trouble. She probably doesn't hit it hard enough to knock it senseless, but she thinks she's got a solid blow in as the bone of her staff clangs against metal and the beads hung from it rattle. Virgil's blast of psychic energy slams into the Koffing with enough force to hurl it backwards and into one of the pollen walls, where it disappears from sight. Melanie and Lewis have less luck; supereffective or not the Klefki takes Melanie's blow quite well, and responds by jangling aggressively, causing phantasmal chains of pink light to wrap around both Melanie and Lewis. The Gulpin, meanwhile, gets sent rolling backwards like a water balloon by Lewis's slam, though it doesn't seem too hurt either. It obviously is still sleepy, though, because it yawns in the Eevee's direction. OOCKoffing takes 3 Injuries and Faints.

Virgil lets out a small breathe as the Koffing tumbles away. They had a propensity for smelling terrible after all and Virgil didn't want to find out if that reputation was well deserved. He hops a little closer to the fray. He doesn't sound too worried as he asks, "Are you two alright?" Before sending another charge of Psychic energy at the ferals, this time aiming at the Gulpin. The poor eevee couldn't help returning the yawn started by the reprehensible bag of piss and vinegar, eyes drooping. Groggy from the power of suggestion, Lewis had an idea that he thought was really clever. He advanced forward and to the left so that none of the ferals could get past without going through both him and the more experienced adventurer Cubone. He yawned, stretched, then did a little dance, creating a phantasm of himself sitting atop Melanie's head, poised to assist in whatever came next. Almost ready to collapse, the newly minted explorer turned back to the injured powerhouse and her merry band of rascals and half-shouted, half yawned " Run for it! There's no way they're getting past us.. I mean her" and then fell into a patently adorable puddle of fur and ink on the battle field shift action: M8 swift action: let's talking go! standard action: Helping Hand on Melanie (Melanie gains +2 accuracy and +10 damage to her next attack this round)

The young ferals hanging back by Kyria seem rather puzzled by Lewis's shout and subsequent collapse, looking between each other curiously. None of them move yet, though. The Spritzee, obviously a deep sleeper, continues dozing even as the Gulpin slimes past it. OOCSpritzee: Asleep. Sleep Roll (DC16): pm2Mby_f1d20 Nope. Kyria glances around after Lewis shouts and nods, mentioning something to the ferals, she charges out, preparing to head for the stairs until she notices Lewis on the ground... asleep? That could be bad, what if he was knocked out? She takes a last minute jump to the side and turns to the fray, motioning the ferals to stay out of danger if they can. "Time to go, lets hurry while they have the others distracted!" Sprinting: X7 to 06

Melanie glances over at Eevee in alarm when he slumps to the floor next to her. At this distance, she can see easily enough that he's not knocked out, just sleeping. But he is still sleeping in the middle of the battlefield, with hostile Pokémon right in front of him. She'll just have to attend to that herself. Luckily, she has Eevee's help even if he wasn't actually awake. With the odd little illusion to help her, she swings her staff at the Klefki again. With all the rattling, the sound of the impact is actually rather melodic, and she can feel the extra power Eevee lent to her blow. Melanie's second blow is more effective than her first and the Klefki follows in the Koffing's wake, propelled into one of the pollen walls. The Gastly swoops after Kyria - but pauses before diving into the pillar of pollen and with a sound that even to those that can't understand her is recognisable as a giggle, launches a swirling psychic blast at the Gulpin. This doesn't appear to do much, although the larger Poison-type clearly takes offence and retaliates by spewing a stream of sludge at her. She chitters in dismay but seems reasonably fine. āĮŖÿŎŖÿŎŖĀÿÿĭŀŒœŘĀāÌ OOCKlefki takes 3 Injuries and Faints.

He had hoped to protect the babbies but it looked like this one had other ideas. Virgil hops forward once more. Pausing to give Kyria a quick, "We'll be fine. Just try and get them o-out of here," before landing right in front of the Gulpin's face. Hopefully this Psybeam would be able to bring it down. Shift: From Q8 to M8 Swift: Inspired Training

Though Virgil's psionic attack leaves the Gulpin badly injured and looking rather stunned, it doesn't go down. To make matters worse, the force of the blow knocks it back a pace or two and into the Spritzee, which jolts upright, looking at first rather affronted, then confused, and then angry. OOCGulpin takes 2 Injuries and is Confused.
