Melanie nods decisively, hoping Mawile isn't telling the kids anything that will cause problems. "I'll take point." It might make going slow, but if they try not to leave her behind that's happening anyway. And at least with her in front she can take a big hit if she has to.

Well, the children seemed to be ready to go too. Hopefully they wouldn't have trouble with ferals, er, other ferals. "Y-yea, the faster we get going, the less chance we run into something. You're sure they won't try and wander off?" He takes up a spot just in front of the children.

As you assemble to depart through the elastic-y 'wall,' both Kyria and Lewis notice something; a piece of wall at the other end of the field you're in looks similarly dented to the one you were about to exit through. OOCSomething I should've rolled just, like, ages ago.

Lewis's ears perk up at the other wall indentation, after all, it could be a shortcut
"Hey guys, look, there's another exit," the artist exclaimed before pausing in thought. "You know, we should probably be careful about hat exit, I think I should poke my head out to make sure there aren't any ferals on the other side. Hmm, I'm actually not the most inconspicuous though, so maybe somebody who's got more of a mind for moving silently?"

Melanie huffs quietly. "I suppose that means me," she mutters. Well, they all kind of stick out, but she's at least quieter than Eevee or Mawile. "I'll take a look if you'll point me toward it. I don't see it." Not for the first time, Melanie wishes she wasn't so nearsighted.

Kyria sighs as they are suddenly engrossed in another secret. She's clearly impatient to get the ferals to safety. "Just hurry up please, the longer we stand around the higher chance we'll be attacked." She looks to the group of ferals then keeps watch for the group.

Lewis isn't a mind reader, but it didn't take much to put together what the Mawile was thinking
"Mawile, we're already in the secret room, I'm pretty sure this hidden door is another way out of the room, one that may let us bypass any hallways that could leave us in a chokepoint and less able to sufficiently protect the kids. Don't worry, we're on the right track."
After assuaging his pugnacious pal, the eevee walked up to the "hidden" door and tapped it with his paw

Melanie padded over to the wall, following Eevee, since she assumed he had a pretty good idea where the door was. Once he pointed it out, she peered through the door cautiously, trying to see what danger might lurk on the other side without alerting said danger to her presence. Well, mostly she was just trying to see whether there were any ferals, since she didn't really trust her eyes to accomplish anything more. Stealth: BuL3VRs62d6+1 to peek out without letting any ferals that might be there notice her. 2d6+1 |

The 'door' is much like the one that you entered into this hidden room by, and requires just as much pushing to pass through. Once on the other side, you see two things. The first is a pillar of swirling pollen that presumably serves as the 'stairs' in this Dungeon. The second is a group of snoozing ferals on the other side of the room.

Melanie swallows and backs through the secret door as quietly as she can, hurrying back over to the group. The brief moment of having to push through the false wall is a bit nerve-wracking, as if she expects it to make a noise and wake up the ferals with her stranded there. "Good news: Eevee is right. I think the stairs are right there. Bad news: there are a bunch of sleeping ferals too. I think they must be attracted to stairs."
She huffs quietly, rubbing the brow ridge of her skull. "They're way on the other side of the room. If we're quick and quiet, we might be able to make it to the stairs and up before they can close with us. Or we can pick a fight and try to clear them out before we bring the kids through."

"More ferals?" Virgil says nervously, "We could t-try rushing the stairwell. It worked last time." He still isn't quite sure on it though. There was always the chance that the kids would panic at the sight of other ferals...it would be fine.

Kyria looks over at Virgil with a looks that just screams what? Her reaction quickly follows up with her saying "It only worked last time because we only had to protect one pokemon, not four. If we charge them head on now, we wont know what will happen." She looks back at the ferals with concern, how would they fair if worst comes to worst?

"You're probably right. And I'm not sure we can manage sneaking there without waking them up." Melanie's well aware that Mawile and Eevee aren't all that stealthy, and she doesn't know how quiet the kids can be. "I guess that leaves taking them out or chasing them off before we bring the kids out."
She looks Mawile over, obviously concerned about her injuries, but doesn't say anything about it.

Virgil quails under the Mawile's gaze. He shuffles on his spring a bit. "A-Alright. We can take them. Err how many did you say there were again?" He clearly isn't keen on fighting but he is ready to take them on. "And what about you Mawile? You're still pretty...beat up. M-maybe you should stay here? P-plus! You're the only one that can talk to them if they panic."

Virgil tries not to look worried "W-we'll be fine," he insists quickly, "But if anything does happen, we can call you. You're just on the other side of this wall right? It'll be fine." Virgil shuffles a bit more. Why couldn't we stick the rushing to the stairs?

She glances around at everyone and gestures towards the door. "All settled? Let's go."

Kyria growls in frustration before backing up, she can't stand staying out of the fray but knows very well she might not leave standing if she goes in. Kyria motions to the ferals to stay back with her before nodding to the party.
