Terra was once a normal and beautiful planet at least until the bombs went off all over the world and destroyed most of the planet and it's population. Now many people live inside of underground shelters but supplies are not meeting demands any more. For this reason the shelters have begun to send young people out to try and survive in the waste land.
A small community has been made by some of those that have been tossed out. They maintain contact with some of the shelters in order to help some of the new youngsters coming out. Danger appears in multiple shapes and forms. Pokémon have mutated due to the radiation and are even more dangerous than they were before. People who decided to stay out of the shelters during the bombings as well as the criminals from the shelters who no one wants. I am looking for four players. Technology is still a bit advanced with pokebots and upgrades. Some of them are leftovers from times before or made from things that have been scrounged from the shelter and broken down things.
Trainer level 8 with 3 level 15 pokemon; one of them being a dragon type which was used as guardians in your shelter (this does not include charmader who gets dragon through mega evolution but those who do have dragon typing in their later evolution is fine). Two egg moves can be split between the three pokemon. Type sync is permitted and color alteration is fine due to radiation. All books are permitted except for BaD. Warper and Glitch Bender are not permitted classes. 6,000 poke with simple weapons costing 2000 and fine weapons costing 4000.
Closes Friday April 29th at 8 pm EST .

Question! Does one of the three have to have dragon typing? Or is it only "at most one of them"?
Another question, will the four players be from the same Shelter? And given that they eject young people, does that mean you have a preferred age range?
All the same, this sounds pretty interesting; I'll see if I can make something fun for it.

At least one has to be a dragon type but is not limited to only one. Usual age is between 16 and 25. You do not have to be from the same shelter.

So what is the goal for the players? A secret or just survive?
Also, was this a spacefaring civilization? It didn't really have much to do with the setting, just curious is all.

Survival is a good motivator but yes there is a more secret goal to it. It once was a spacefaring group but no one has had the courage to return since the bombings.

Hmm, this looks interesting! Kind of a Fallout Pokemon? I'll see what I can come up with. Off the top of my head I'd be interested in a Gadgeteer of some kind.
Do you mean we can take the Type Sync Feature, or that we can just have a Type-shifted starter if we want?

Out of curiosity, would Fakemon be allowed? I really want to try out this character I made in a real setting, and was hoping for a specific fakemon as her starter. Of course, some extra work would be involved with coming up with an appropriate Egg Move List for the 'Mon, as Deltas cannot breed in the games they are featured in. It won't kill me to not have it, of course, I can easily substitute something else, it can't hurt to ask though. (and I rarely ask) Delta Shinx - A Steel/Poison Delta (Fakemon). (Yes, I realize how powerful Steel is early game, but Fire and Ground are fairly common Types. :3) Edit: In anticipation of the tight deadline, and the high likelihood of the fakemon not being allowed, I went ahead and made my sheet. Another question - do we have to have just come from a shelter, or can we have been living on the surface for a while already? I had an idea for someone who'd been mutated - basically a ghoul, if you're familiar with Fallout. Now sure how I'd best represent that classwise... maybe Athlete to start, for enhanced physical capabilities... Apparition is really more "ghost" than "zombie" so I dunno about that one... hmm.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say you mean friday the 29th? If so I'm interested and will start putting something together. If not, well it doesn't matter then right ? Edit: Additionally; any stipulations on which pokes we can start with? I mean probably no legendaries and that stuff, but things like a Mawile or Absol would be okay maybe : )?

Yes I did mean the 29th and I have changed the main post to clarify that. Mawile is fine but absol has way to high of a starter stat for the beginning.
Sorry but no delta pokemon.
I would prefer they be from the shelters. You may take type sync.

All right here's the first pitch!
I'm thinking of an Fashionista/Researcher (Upgrader + Artificer ?) fluffed as tech scavenger; someone that is good at clobbering together cool, and hopefully, helpful things. One little thought I had was the Artificer Judgement fluffed as a really cool (and somewhat unreliable!) beam gun.
Would provide mainly the Educational skills to the party along with some promise of cooler stuff and restorative expertise.
For pokemons I'm looking at the earlier mentioned Mawile accompanied by perhaps Nidorino, Petilil, Purloin or maybe Drifloon. Not sure yet.

How long have people been in the shelters? Would people young enough to be sent out remmeber life before the bombs dropped, or would they have been raised from birth in the shelters?

Fashionista + Artificer is a combo I've been wanting to try out myself. I like Lessah's concept and don't want to compete with it as a tech specialist, so I think I'll avoid Gadgeteer after all.
Allthough... I had an idea, but I don't know if you'd allow it. Bascially using Pokemon Ed instead of Tech Ed for Gadgeteer, harvesting Pokemon parts to craft rudimentary weapons Monster Hunter style. It's already kind of got that flavor what with drawing from the Capabilities of your Pokemon... for example, a salvaged Blastoise cannon for the Cap Cannon, or weaving a net from Caterpie silk. I'd probably pair it with a Survival based class like Backpacker.

twilightkiwi - I think a setting such as this can have room for multiple techy characters really so no need to feel overly constrained by my idea : )

Hmm. Random question - any specific reason for the Dragon types to be the vault guardians : )?
(I'm having a hard time picking one; some fluff may help influence the choice!)

There's plenty of IRL lore of dragons being guardians of places, I figure. Dunno if the GM has more to it than that... I was leaning towards a Steel/Dragon shifted Axew for that Gadgeteer concept. Upgrader was going to be his second Researcher branch, and I'd fluff the Steel Syncs as roboticizing his Pokemon. I suppose if both our characters got in, we could collaborate on the tech stuff. Or be rivals! I'm not sure I want to go with that concept yet though.

It's just that when I look at Skrelp I don't get that "mighty guardian" feeling. (Dragalge is a beast though ) Also @concept - I'm actually considering Botanist or something instead of Upgrader at the moment; making an character that relied on half a dozen skills was a bit rough once I started to tinker with it. (Keeping the Artificer Beam-Gun though ) So if you want to do some complimentary crafting character I think we can find a way to mesh really well : )
