Sticking together proves to be an excellent idea, as Floyd and Lia come across a small group of Growlithe crossing the road about halfway to Mt. Moon. Three of them are fairly large, likely the eldest pups. The rest seem pretty small. The entire group totals around 10. One of the larger pups spots you and sits down between you and the pack. It doesn't growl or make any aggressive movements, it merely watches you. You could probably challenge just the one if you tried to communicate with it before attacking. No guarantee the others wouldn't see this as a chance for a fight though and join in. OOC: If you want to try and initiate a single challenge vs the Growlithe, make a Charm check DC 10. Otherwise, you can just go in guns blazing. Depending on how well you do, something special might happen.

Lia leans over to Floyd as they find the pack. "This could be either very awesome or very stupid what I'm about to try to do. Just, don't let em 'nom' me alright?"Lia approaches the group. She makes the attempt to parlay, but lets the ego get the better of her, and fails to really single out the pack leader in combat, instead probably angering them all. The trio of larger Growlithe growl threateningly as you approach, though one ushers the smaller pups along. The other two raise the hackles on the back of their necks before lunging at Lia!
Growlithe (x2) Initiative - 13
Both Growlithe activate Intimidate on Lia. (-2 Attack Combat Stages in total) Then, they attempt to Bite.

Bite #2 AC 2 vs 1d20 Flinch on 15+ Damage: 2d6+20
(To be clear, Lia is currently the only target in range that has acted "threateningly", thus both attacks are aimed at her.)1d20·2d6+20·1d20·2d6+20

Catula moves so quickly that it overshoots its initial target. Thankfully it retreats out of reach before the Growlithe decide it might make a tasty snack. Floyd's Bullet Punch, on the other hand, hits its target soundly, drawing the attention of one of the Growlithe.
Status: Growlithe #1: Uninjured. Growlithe #2: Slightly injured.

Lia manages to do her trick again to flip to avoid a good portion of the damage. However she's still nicked a tad. "Scier, Floyd, prevent nomming please. I asked very nicely! She straight up smashes right into one of them, pure power to push it away. Scier floats up near her master, seeing the encroaching pack, knowing that Lia is the first one they'll smack right into. She flusters, jingling with frustration and fear. Lia needs her help right now, and Scier hasn't been able to help her out well since they got into Kanto. She took Scier away on an adventure from the dojo, where she'd just be a mere object to people when Lia saw more. And all she's done was lose. Not now. Scier begins to glow, seemingly changing shape. A long ribbon unfurls from underneath her as the light fades, revealing a Chimecho! Lia looks back to see her newly evolved pokemon. "Scier...YES. YES SCIER. GET THAT ONE OVER THERE!"The Chimecho unleashes a newly invigorated attack of psychic energy at the one Lia didn't smack Lia interrupts the first Growlithe's bite with Splash! She gains DR vs the first attack equal to her acrobatics x2 (10)
Total HP remaining: 40/67

I don't know if any other Growlithe are joining in this current fight, and I don't know their inits. Let me know if I messed up by attacking with Scier

Just so we're all certain: The Dodge ability is a Daily-use ability, which means if you used it at all during your fight with Floyd, it isn't usable here.
From your posted actions, Scier would move first (because Floyd used a Priority move on entering battle), then it would go to the top of Round 3 (Round 1 was "Surprise! Bite attacks!"), where Lia gets her shot. Next up are the two Growlithe, followed by Floyd again, barring another use of Priority. I will wait for Floyd to post again to resolve round 3. Round 2 Resolution: The two Growlithe take a beating from the Duelist and her newly-evolved Psychic Type, but they remain standing. Round 3 Actions: Each of them stares down a human and growls menacingly. (Growlithe #1 uses Intimidate on Floyd.) They both prepare to attack again. (Growlithe #1 will Bite Lia, #2 will use Leer on as many foes as possible. Cone 2 effect.) Current Status: Growlithe #1: Badly Injured. Growlithe #2: Injured (slightly healthier than #1).

I actually only 'just' got dodge now, the one I used was Flip out's buff of Splash. It's once per scene as a shift action, which would leave Lia her action for the first round.
Unless we are counting the charm as her action? Or I could be wrong about interrupt shift actions? I thought it wouldn't eat up your turn, cause otherwise it's a maximum of 16 dr with virtuoso for an entire round action which doesn't seem worth it.

Honestly, I don't know how it all fits together, so I'll just let it go through as written. I just wanted to make sure you hadn't somehow used Dodge twice in one day is all. Charm was an action made before combat began, and in fact initiated it.
Floyd I assume is using Metal Claw, as stated, despite the mistype on the AC roll. Thus, Catula moves before the Growlithe pair via Priority, then they get to move (where Intimidate takes effect), followed by Floyd.
Also, would you guys want a map for certain combats? Just so everyone can be clear on where everyone/everything is located? I'm fine with not using it, but I wanted to ask if you guys had any opinions. (Actions posted for Growlithe #s 1 and 2 take place here, after Catula's Quick Attack.) Growlithe #1 takes the hit, swaying slightly, but remains on its feet. It utters a menacing growl in Floyd's direction, then attempts to Bite the one that hit it hardest, Lia. Bite AC 2 vs IrOLjZOi1d20 Flinch on 15+ Damage: 2d6+20Growlithe #2 backs up slightly, taking advantage of not being targeted right this second, and stares the group down. Leer AC 2 vs 1d20 (Lia) 1d20 (Floyd) 1d20 (Catula) Success means target gains -1 Defense CS. (After this, Floyd's Metal Claw hits.) Growlithe #1 takes a heavy-handed blow from Floyd and faints. Growlithe #3, who sits on the sidelines watching, howls loudly as it sees its pack-mates fall. Nothing else seems to happen. Status: Growlithe #1 - Fainted. Growlithe #2 - Injured (no damage this round) Cone X: The Move hits all legal targets in the square immediately in front of the user and in 3m wide rows extending from that square up to X meters away.

While Lia easily avoids more harm from a lazy bite and gets hit with a stare that doesn't seem to do much, Scier strikes with another psychic blast! Yeah I've only ever used the bumped up Splash. Only got the dodge ability just today, by adding Vincent's Mawile to my sheet.
So only the DR bits, for now. Keeping Dodge in my back pocket atm.
And yeah, I think a map might be a good idea for battles where we got quite a few bodies involved, and Lia's got an upgraded Aerial Ace that works like a pass move heh
Scier uses Confusion on Growlithe 2 AC 2 Psychic Special (confuses on 19+) i0PL6XbH1d20+2 2d6+30

Heh, I forgot all about Scier being there. Since Scier is Init 7, and Floyd didn't use a Priority move this round, Scier's action would come first. I'll post the actual Init order this time so we can all keep track. It seems that while the Growlithe are physically resilient, these ones aren't so keen on taking Psychic-typed attacks straight up. Growlithe #2 faints immediately. Almost as soon as this happens, the entire rest of the pack howls loudly. This is followed by a much louder, much angrier howling from much closer than you would have thought possible. A truly massive Arcanine leaps down onto the field of battle, standing protectively over the fallen Growlithe. Seems you drew out the real Alpha of the pack. It charges at the closest foe. Seeing the human with the large axe as the greatest threat, it attacks Floyd first, large fangs sheathed in flame. Initiatives: Lia - 20 Pack Alpha Arcanine - 18 Catula (Riolu) - 11 Scier - 7 Floyd - 5 Fire Fang AC 3 vs S7ogpYos1d20 Burns 18+ Damage: 2d10+261d20·2d10+26

Catula will be using Quick Attack every round due to it being her only option other than Struggle. Unless she gets targeted, which'll let her use Counter. Does it look like the third Growlithe is going to get involved? Seeing the attack on her trainer, Catula charges the Arcanine. Quick Attack: AC 2 vs OB6wAyLJ1d20+1Damage: 1d8+201d20+1·1d8+20

It does not seem like the 3rd Growlithe will get involved at this time. Round 4 - Begin The Arcanine barely feels Catula's hit as it bears down on Floyd.

Arcanine definitely acknowledges Lia's hit after tearing up Floyd a bit and quickly rounds on her. Growlithe #3 actually comes close enough to spew an Ember at its own Pack Leader... which seems to strengthen it! Arcanine's Flash Fire activates, increasing its ATK by 1 CS. It roars loudly.
(Growlithe #3 is officially in the battle now. This round it moved on Arcanine's Initiative. Following rounds it will return to Init 13.)
Roar AC 2 vs Burst 1. i1rKvYbB1d20 (Takes effect at the end of the Round. Negative Priority.)
On success, all legal targets immediately use their Shift Action to move as far away from Arcanine as possible. Owned Pokemon that end their turn within 6 meters of their Pokeball are forcibly recalled. Trainers who switch due to this do not lose their Command action.1d20
