Cal is bowled over and left with a bad bruise. Despite that though she responds quickly with another quick dash and slash of her claws after urgent prompting from Vincent. Vincent Standard Action: Focused and Brutal Orders

Skala lasted that 'brutal' first attack, but isn't left with much to defend with after, and falls. Come on, you gotta take out 'something' Lia! This is getting dire...She looks to her two remaining balls, knowing that Jazda will probably fall in two seconds to Vincent's stable of dark-type attackers. "Last option here, come on Glosny!"She recalls Skala, and lets out her Whismur. Whismur Init- 3
Probably should not have picked a fight with you, temporarily forgot your dark ace class before I started, and now I'm paying for it. Probably shouldn't have wasted either of our times.

As he has proven time and again in the Arena forum: Dark types are OP in PTU, despite Dark Ace being one of the weaker Type Aces classes. Though going up against them with a disadvantage never helps either.

"Keep using Pursuit, Cal!" Vincent ordered, seeing the new arrival. It's not likely that Cal will last another hit... I better start thinking of who I should sub in. Cal sped towards her new opponent and made to greet her with a clawed punch. Vincent uses Orders as usual.
Cal uses Pursuit (Dark-type, Physical) AC2 vs 9k5fkAiG1d20+2 (Crits on 18+) Damage: 2d6+29
Well, if you wanna stop at any time, I'm open to it. Don't worry though I don't see it as a waste of time. Battles of any kind are always fun for me, whether I'm winning or losing. Anyway, I'm sure your Whismur is going to take out Cal who has fairly low HP, so at least you're probably going to get some XP out of this right? If I remember correctly, Raven even gives XP for losing fights, or at least she did once.
And yeah Dark-types are really good, they all tend to be damage dealing beasts lending themselves well to single stat or mixed attacking. Speaking of mixed attacking, Cal is going to be a monster once she gets to level 20, as is my Cacnea, Vex due to Weird Power. And although Dark Ace has some bad features (like, Clever Ruse depends on missing and Sneak Attack is really unwieldy and situational), all the Type Aces are really good even just for that +5 boost to damage or DR, although in this case Cal doesn't actually benefit from that yet (and can't until level 15 due to lack of TP) 1d20+2·2d6+29

You gain 50% of the XP when you lose. Just so you get something.

The horrible noise badly hurts Cal's ears and the pain almost causes her to faint, but she manages to push back the black curtain that threatened to fall over her eyes. She remains standing, albeit very weakly at first. (Cal is left with 1 HP!) Vincent almost can't believe his eyes. "Cal, you're amazing," he blurts out. Then turns a little red at the gushing praise he just gave. "Use Pursuit again!" Cal took a quick second to shake off her exhaustion, during which she looked at Vincent happily, and then rammed into the Whismur with as much force as she could, wisps of dark force floating away from her body. Vincent uses Orders as normal.

"Keep up the noise Glosny!"The little creature shrieks even louder, as if that was even possible. Since you just have 1 hp and I don't have access to see my sheet for the increased db anyway, I'll just roll to hit. Lia applies training.
Echoed Voice Ac 2 Normal special 7xF68pHe1d20+3
On a hit, Glosny will have 4 momentum.

The sound waves bowl Cal over and knock her out cold. Vincent recalls her quickly and looks at her Pokeball in wonder for a moment, before putting it back on his belt and selecting another. He releases a Purrloin into the battlefield. "Alright Ry, use Fury Swipes!"Ryker, or Ry, ran to meet his opponent and pulled back his claws to give his opponent a swift barrage of scratches. "AND THERE'S ONE! Let's try for two Glosny!"Lia stares down once again, seemingly directing Glosny to target the Purrloin out of sheer focus rather than orders. As it attacks, it almost looks like the end for Glosny, until a last second dodge saves the Whismur as the claws rake past. Glosny sees her life flash before her eyes, and panics, letting off a giant cloud of smoke! "...She meant to do that! Good job Glosny. Very tactics." Looking at my sheet again, just realized Echoed Voice is eot (which I didn't think it was, I thought that it worked like the game, or like here with attacks like Fury cutter, rollout etc) It didn't matter last round, could have been any attack that hit (I have a pound at the same damage base) and did some damage as long as your defenses wouldn't stop all of it.
BAH I wanted a db 14 attack coming at you.
Lia uses Orders and uses a swift to Duelist tag. (Which is how Glosny will get evasion to dodge the attack, as trainer actions both come before the attack)
Glosny uses Smokescreen, centered on herself. Ranged Blast 3, All targets attacking from/into the smoke take a -3 penalty to accuracy
I can't hope to one-shot your Purrloin soooo let's try this. And hope for the best.
Glosny ends the round with 5 Momentum.

Hmm, smoke makes this quite a bit more difficult, Vincent mused. "Try and Scratch it, Ry!" he ordered, deciding there was nothing they could do but keep trying to hit with Ry's attacks. Ry coughs a little as smoke entered his lungs, but he shook the sensation off quickly and tried to tear into his opponent. Vincent Standard Action: Use Orders

"Guess that didn't work..."
Glosny gets launched backward out of the cloud, landing unconscious at Lia's feet. With a bit of a defeated look on her face, she recalls her Whismur.
"Your the real deal it seems. I have one more but it's pretty fresh as well as a psychic so I don't think it'll last more than one hit. And... I think I've had enough of your team anyway, don't need another lesson in how much more I'd have to train my team. I'm heading back to the center."
With that, Lia begins to head back.

Vincent recalled Ry, saying nothing since it didn't seem like Lia wanted to talk right now. He also heads towards the center in order to get his Pokemon to their best condition again.

Lia leads Floyd back to where she fought Vincent. The sting of defeat is still strong with her but... maybe she could redeem herself this time. At the very least she'll get the chance to get in the fight herself. "Alright, here we are."Lia steps back, giving them some space to start. "Already got my first choice, so I'm ready when you are Floyd. Also, I know I joked about the axe before but... y'know. Don't kill me. That'd be nice."She throws Skala out on one side, lightly tosses her bag to the other, and assumes a fighting position. Lia's Speed - 20 Skala's Speed - 5

When you and an allied Pokemon/Trainer have a Speed Tie, you may determine the Initiative order on your own. You don't need to roll for it. Unless you want to, of course.
