Floyd pauses and frowns for a moment before shrugging.

"Once you heal up you'll beat her next time. For all her games Nalkeya's strategy is fairly easy to predict once you've faced her. And unlike Chengse she isn't going to throw you out and tell you not to come back without more badges because she's tired of beating you."

He says after a moment of thought.

"Honestly Atropa was the better trainer and you're definitely capable of beating her. Then there's just Fuchsia to beat- and you shouldn't have much issue with the pre-battle challenge. Unless some random trainer looking for their seventh badge is making the ascent at the same time as you

Floyd falls silent and frowns at Lia's words, considering what he says next for a while.

"So what will you do now? Try for a promotion at Cerulean? Get a desk job?Give beginners advice?"

He asks, trying to put himself in Lia's shoes and utterly failing.

Floyd shrugs gormslessly before speaking.

"Just take your time and let me know if you need help then I guess. I'm going to be trying to figure out how changing a pokemon's type works before I head down to Cinnabar - I figured going down alone would be kinda mean to the rest of you."

He says.

Kaeda really doesn't know what to say to Lia. Lia always seemed like the rock when it came to dealing with battles, and struggles. She really didn't know where to go from here. "Well, if anything, Lia does need some rest. Well think of what to do at some other time. Recovery is the best option right now."

Lia just turns on her side, away from the others.

I didn't ask for you two to figure it out for me...

She stays silent and tries to get some sleep.

Early in the Morning, at the Cerulean Gym...

The tension in the air is palpable. Every single one of the various employees at the Cerulean Gym (some of whom Lia knows, and others she may not recognize) has arrived extra early, even if it's their off-day, just to be there to hear the final verdict when it comes. Aleisandra finally walks in, over an hour after everyone else has stopped arriving. She is dressed in a blue/grey business suit and her hair is all done up in a simple, professional bun. She seems quite shocked to see so many people milling about outside of the Gym when she is almost certain she said it was closed for the day due to the court date for contesting that letter she got from the League two weeks ago.

"You guys... why are you even here? Go home. The Gym isn't open today, I'm just here to make sure I have all the paperwork I need from the Gym."

"We're here to support you, of course." Someone in the crowd says.

"Yeah! We're not letting you go through this alone!" Another cries.

Many others begin echoing these sentiments.

Alei sighs, and the corners of her mouth turn up in an ever so slight smile. "As much as I appreciate all you have done for me, this is a private hearing. Only myself and my lawyer are permitted within. I promise you: as soon as I know whether we're going independent or not, I'll let you know. Until then, try not to worry too much."

She unlocks the building that houses both the Cerulean Gym and the Cerulean Public Pool (the pool isn't in danger, just the Gym) and makes sure that any here in the crowd that work in the Pool know that they're still working today like normal.

She passed by a store and saw a certain 'something' in the window and heads inside. Coming out with an instrument shaped case in her hand, she heads back to the ranch. She's spent the week in thought and knows that she can't keep putting things off. She's just got to try to Mega Evolve Los and hope that she knows that the person that raised her from a tiny carvanha in a pond near Pewter won't like it if she goes berserk. She heads inside and hunts down Kaeda (If she's there) but more importantly, she made a promise to Eve to see this. Finding her tending to something she can't see and isn't paying attention to, she grabs Eve by the shoulder and drags her outside.

"Eve, get your tiny ass ready to see a fucking mega. I may also need you to shoot her out of the sky if she loses it."

As Eve walks on her own, Lia doesn't look back so she doesn't betray about how she's feeling about this all.

"If I wait, I'll never be ready. I'll just have to trust that Los will listen."

Eve telling her not to worry makes her worry immediately (Well, more worry), but she heads outside to the ranch grounds regardless. She stops, and looks to Eve.

"Ok, here we go."

Lia breathes out and sends out Los in front of them. Scier is also on standby (Mostly to make screens to protect them and the other pokemon nearby). Lia then taps her mega item, her neck bracer with the ring of Kaeda's on the back, and it glows, and so does Los...

"Ooh!" Eve was all eyes during Los's mega transformation, her notebook open so she could jot down real quick observation notes over the course of the flash of light, Los's display following, and even her way of gnashing her teeth as she comes to a rest. Write, write, write. Even after Los has paused to catch her breath, Eve was still writing, this time looking down at her screen, instead up at Los to see what was happening, to fill in the details she had left out of her initial shorthand.

"This. Is. Amazing!" is probably the only string of understandable words that really mattered in the mess of verbal observations and exclamations Eve was making, referencing this research or that research regarding mega evolution and power and radioactive waves and temporal gene changes and blah blah blah.

At the very end, though, Eve does tack on a congratulations, "Lia! It's great to see how far you've come with Los! Hey, if you don't mind, what do you think was the deciding factor in the post-mega evolution behavior change? You know, from vicious to... Oh... Oh my..."

Eve had only just noticed what Los was doing in the pool after catching her breath.

"My question still stands, though." Eve insists as she blinks at Los getting frisky.
