Lia sighs and hugs her knees.
"I've been thinking about it for a while. Scier caught on today, actually, and that I wasn't talking to anyone about it. I was on the fence before today, but the way that the two battles went and the... the aftermath... Well, they made my decision. It's just, I keep coming back looking like this. I then search myself, knowing that I have to simultaneously know that it's my fault we lost, but that I'm doing everything right as far as I'm aware. Each loss just depresses me. So, I just take away the temptation. If I'm not in the league then win/lose it won't matter. I feel like it's the right decision, even if I feel like shit right now."
Lia winces.
"Sorry. You shouldn't see me like this. You and my dad both mentioned older versions of Lia that had fire and it seems like that's been snuffed and I hate it."

Floyd frowns and shrugs. "Fine. I'll be back once I figure something out. Don't worry about the crime syndicate I probably owe a favour to and don't intend to repay. I know you don't believe me about the things that have happened since I came here but I'm going to sort it out. I was just hoping I'd be able to count on your for help." He says flatly.

"I'm sorry you feel that way, hun." Kaeda places an arm around Lia, and holds her close. She had thought about just giving up the challenge after a few of her losses, but she never expected Lia to quit. Lia was mostly the stubborn one, but to see her come down to this was sad. This challenge wasn't getting easier, and even KAeda wasn't sure if she was just going to end up quitting too at some point. But, for now, she was there Lia who seemed pretty beat down.

That was fast... slightly uneasily so...
However, Eve was far too gone into excitement to let something like slight uneasiness hold her down! She gripped her phone tightly after seeing the contact info ding in and eagerly shook her head. "Yes! I'll send it asap! Ah... but..." She calmed down a bit. "About that NDA, I understand the concerns regarding info leaks, particularly since this is a private company and not a public research city, but at the moment, I do have some obligations to a group of other trainers that I'm travelling with. Nothing major, really, but I should at least tell them that I might get a job in the near future... May I at least tell them about the email I received, how I might be interning at a private research facility, and the NDA I am under? I...actually already gave them the address to this place... Before signing the NDA, that is. It was so that they knew where I was in case of an emergency..."

The eve-cited Eve is escorted back to the main lobby by security and asked to return her temporary security pass so it may be retired. Once she does so, she is free to leave. The whole demo and interview process has taken no more than a few hours. Perhaps half the day if one includes the wait time for the demo.

Floyd caught a glimpse of Sasha and her Litwick practicing Moves against some rocks that one of the bigger Pokemon had dragged in for them, but they're far enough away to not notice him unless he approaches.
