"That was a close match!" Kyo said, getting his Zigzagoon to the pokemon center for healing. Too bad that the poor guy had to battle twice in the same day. But in better news he did manage to win the second time around.
After the Pokemon center Kyo would begin to seek out the Library. He remember that he needed to return a book.

Seeing both of his companions wander off on their own after attempting to flag them down to have a conversation about stuff, Max decides he is far better off solo. He sticks around town for a day or two before leaving on his own with Beldum.

Happy with the book that he go after turning in another, just some story book, Kyo looked for Max. If they were going to journey then they had to start doing it sometime!

After packing in her travelling boutique and counting out her lucre, JoJo walked up to the Pokemon Center desk to retrieve Buddy Holy, and sent a quick text to Kyo to regroup (we totally traded phone numbers at one point

So JoJo lead the way to Route 1, and stopped for a moment. "We're going to need more than just two pokemon to challenge a gym leader, aren't we? I'll be back in a sec, Kyo, you should look for another friend too!"

Joylene makes a new friend in the form of a Rattata, then waits for Kyo To to return from his Wild Excursion. Several minutes pass, with no sign of him returning. Some signs of a battle are found, but nothing is there. No Kyo To. Seems as if the earth just swallowed him up or something. Searching for him seems to be in vain, so Joylene must move on alone.
Just then, a message comes through on her Pokedex. It states that there is a bug-catching contest going on in Viridian Forest tomorrow. Grand Prize is P2000, the Pokemon you captured to win the contest, and a valuable Evolution Stone.

Jolyne picked up her phone and dialed Kyo's number. Straight to voice mail. THis wasn't a good sign. Making a mental note of the bug catching competiton, JoJo walked back to the gate at Palletand looked around for a park ranger or a police officer or, or something

Rushing back to Pallet, Joylene searches for an authority figure. It doesn't take long to find an officer on patrol and inform him of the strange disappearance of her friend Kyo To. He gathers a few other officers to aid in the search, and they scour the area for clues. After searching for most of the day, they find no evidence of anything. Seems like Kyo To just vanished off the face of the earth.

Before setting out for Viridian city, JoJo took a moment to release her new rodent friend and give him a proper grooming.He never made a sound, delighted or dissenting, but the dancer could feel the cogs turning in the Rattata's fragile head. She realized that the poor thing shouldn't be doing any fighting. If she brought him along, what sort of life would he have if he came along? But then, what sort of life would it have in this route, with amateur trainers brutalizing him for "experience".No, she wasn't going to let that happen, not after she took responsibility for his life. The Rattata's coat was smooth and shiny, but JoJo kept stroking.

After the grooming JoJo returned Boy and picked BIllie Jean back up, Viridian wasn't too far away, but you can only put off an adventure so much.

It is starting to get late. Your Pokedex says it is around 6 PM, and while there is still plenty of light out, the sun will likely set soon. Now alone, JoJo continues on her journey towards Viridian City. Deciding to stop in at the Pokemon Center to inquire about a room for the night (or something), she makes a beeline for the familiar red roofed building. Just as she arrives, the door opens and she is nearly bowled over by someone.
"S-sorry! Oh, hey JoJo." The "someone" turns out to be the missing Kyo To. Seems he just went on ahead without you. Sneaky bugger.

Nurse Joy smiles and bows in greeting to you.
"Of course you may reserve a room for tonight. That's part of the function of Pokemon Centers, after all. We have rooms in the back for all Trainers to stay in if they've a mind to. Simply head on back and pick a room that doesn't have the red light above the doorway. That's how you tell which rooms are occupied and which are not. If the red light is on, that room isn't available. Can I help you with anything else tonight, Miss?"

retcon: the Rattata is named Boy 2 Man, not just Boy " No, I think that should just about cover it." The dancer finds her room and releases all her pokemon to rest up for the night. The next morning she goes through the process of giving everyone a thorough grooming, and sets off in search of breakfast. BIllie Jean makes 8 exp Buddy Holly makes 7 exp Boy 2 Man makes 7 exp All become inspired |

Pokemon centers also provide a free continental breakfast to trainers every morning. This place is like a hotel for trainers.
