Adventure Thread - Group A

JoJo shook her head and sighed.

"Look, 'live and let live' works just fine when it's only affecting you and yours, but it would be morally wrong stand by and a let a bully go on in his bullyi-" JoJo's self-righteous rant derailed into clenched teeth and a grunt, a twinge from the bruise square in the center of her spine. JoJo paused for a moment, and shrugged.

"Fine, you do you. Just promise me that next time you go out to pummel on a patrat without even giving it a chance to put up its dukes that you tell me so I can take it with us long enough to make sure it doesn't get eaten while its unconscious. You can agree to that much of a compromise, right?"

"We probably should head back to the center eventually, but let's wait to catch up with Kyo, it wouldn't do to leave a friend behind." JoJo paused for a moment as inspiration struck. "Hey Max, seeing as you and your beldum didn't get your full regimen in, how about I treat it to a bit of my training while we wait for Kyo? "

"It's amazing what a confidence boost from a good makeover does for a pokemon. Look at Billie Jean. She hasn't technically lifted a finger since we started our adventure and she's already a little stronger since we met"

With that, JoJo pulled out the pokeball with her newly captured sentret and let him loose. In a brilliant flash of light the brown raccoon pokemon pulled himself upright by the tail, and took in his surroundings. He recognized the area as a patch of grass not too far from home, but that didn't seem to matter as much. What was more concerning was the looming neon figure before him with some other pokemon standing by her ankle. He felt like he should be running, but couldn't get motivated to do so. In an instant he was scooped up by the figure, sprayed with a sweet smeling perfume, and felt the bristles of some strange synthetic teeth against his fur. The sensation was far from unpleasant, but it had such an alien feel to it, the Sentret had no answer. Ten minutes later his coat shined and the giant woman had been cooing over him, calling him "Buddy Holly". Those sounds... that name... Was that him? And just like that, Buddy had forgotten where exactly he was. Home maybe?

JoJo simply picked up her new sentret friend and said "Say hello to Buddy Holly. Anyway, we should probably head back to the pokemon center, it looks like your zigzaggoon is pretty beat up"

"Sounds good to us!" Kyo said. He knew that magical leaf was the best move in Greeny's moveset. With an extreme special attack, there was no doubt that it would win the team a lot of victories in the days to come. However, grass types weren't everything. A boy like himself should know better than to pretend to be a gym leader of some sorts. With Zigzagoon now, he had a small amount of diversity and could handle fire, ice, poison, and psychic pokemon when Greeny couldn't.

"Is anyone else hungry?"

"Of course I'm not hungry, I ate before I left," JoJo protested only to be rudely interrupted by her own growling stomach.

"Nope, tootally satiated."

"I'm fine I ju-" JoJo started to lie, but was cut off again by the stomach that had no chill.

"Okay, so I'm a bit peckish, but I can't afford to eat out yet. Can we wait until we hit Viridian to grab some grub?"

*earlier that day* (just after patching up at the pokemon center)

"Hey Kyo, want to give our new friends a little crash course?"
