"Yeah?" Maxine replies. "I like your attitude. I won't press you for a battle right now because you're obviously not at 100%, but maybe I'll see you in Cerulean. That's where I live. We're training to take on the Gym there."
After a few more pleasantries, Maxine looks around for a Trainer to battle, her itch for a fight triggered after watching Aurelius Floyd's battle.

With the others off somewhere and the day starting to fall, Lia heads back to the center. She's sure the other two will meet her there at some point, or at least find her in the morning. --New Day (Rocks!)-- Lia gets up, and now that her 24 hours are well past her, trains herself and her crew once more. Maxine wakes up and checks in at the PokéCenter desk, accepting the Temp Ball ? that Bellsprout was put into. As soon as Bellsprout is released, the Temp Ball will be destroyed. And, since it's wild, it won't obey her commands. It may even attack. Hope this is all okay.She heads to a roomy spot in town that she likes to visit for morning training, but is surprised to see another girl there already doing the same thing. "Well, hello," she says, casually releasing Pancham, Remoraid, and Tropius and beginning drills. "Haven't seen you in town before. Traveling Trainer?"Focused Training on Pancham and Remoraid.
EXP Training on Pancham and Tropius. Pancham gains 12 and Tropius gains 5.
Do you want to determine which 2 Berries Maxine got last night, GM, or do you want me to roll 1d12 on the Tier 1 section? |

After a one-handed handstand with a forward-flip dismount, she wipes her hands off and offers one to the girl. "I'm Maxine. Your two buds - one of 'em have a battle on camera yesterday? 'Floyd', I think he said?"

Lia's face turns toward an awkward expression when her training masters, her parents, are brought up.
"I had two, my parents back in Johto. But they never wanted me to be a trainer, so I sorta ditched."
Not after sucker punching my dad, but we'll leave that tidbit out.
Lia shrugs.

"So it's just been you ever since. I gotta tell ya, I like your style, Lia. I've been gearing up to take on the Gym here, too, but the Water-types in there aren't easy to beat with my Pokémon. I know I could maybe go out and catch something to use just for the occasion, but I just prefer to devote all of my time to Pokémon that I have an actual bond with. I've had Pancham and Remoraid since I was a kid. All of the other Trainers I know have built up teams of six, but I just can't keep track of a group that size. I keep it simple, just using these two guys. I only caught Tropius, here, a few weeks ago, and I don't use him in battles. I just use him to get around when I need to. Pancham and Remoraid have such great potential - I can just see it in them. But they need help unlocking it, and I'm not enough to do that for them. I can take them part of the way, but what it's really gonna take is money, and lots of it, for TMs and Berries and people who will Tutor them and stuff. But I'm rambling now, huh? Anyway, if you guys don't mind, I might go ahead and take on the Gym whenever you do."

Vincent wakes up rather late today. When he makes his way down from his room and heads out to Lia's usual training spot to see if she's still there, he's surprised to see her talking to another girl. Unsure of whether to interrupt them or not, Vincent bites the bullet and decides to say hi. "Good morning," Vincent greeted Lia and the new person. "I hope you don't mind if I do some training here? I don't mean to interrupt your conversation."

She over-exaggeratedly flips her hair back.
"She also seems to have some insider info on the gym leader... Aleisandra, you said her name was? Also, did you need some training beforehand? You said your two might need some help to tackle the gym."

"Nice to meet you Maxine," Vincent says and then releases his Pokemon. "So what Pokemon do you have?" he asks Maxine. "I train Dark-types primarily." He runs them through their daily training, making it as tough as possible while still keeping them focused and sharp. Vincent runs back into the Pokemon Center to swap out his team and then trains his reserve Pokemon too, before switching back to his primary team. Just like the last time, it's still something of a rush to train a lot of Pokemon and seeing them get stronger lifts Vincent's heart a little. All of Vincent's Pokemon are Brutal and Focused and benefit from EXP Training.

The last to rise, Floyd dresses and exits the pokemon centre, smiling upon seeing the others. "Good morning everyone." He says happily. "I see that Maxine has met everyone." Floyd experience trains all his pokemon other than Ossia. All his pokemon are now Focused. They are also stat trained, as noted in the initiative thread |

"Hiya, Vincent. Nice to see you again, Floyd. No, Lia, I think we've done about as much training today as we can. Any more won't make a difference. At this point it's Berries, Vitamins, TMs, and Tutors that my guys need. My guys, Vincent, are who you see behind me - that's it, my whole team. Ooh, Dark-types!" She leans back over her shoulder. "Did you hear that, Pancham? Dark-types! We gotta get you to hang out with this nice man Vincent's Pokémon." Pancham stops training long enough to nod ecstatically while smiling wide. "Pancham needs to hang out with Dark-types to evolve," Maxine leans in and explains to Vincent. "He's getting near the point of evolution and we were getting worried - there are almost no Dark-types here or around Cerulean." When Vincent briefly heads back into the Center, Maxine addresses Floyd. "Hiya, Floyd," she says. "Your team all better today? You tell Lia about your battle?"
