Still keeping off to the side, Trista was a little concerned. If that had been a joke, it wasn't very funny... Actually, it made one just a little nervous. At least Yuki wasn't around to hear that comment? Zephyr, though... "It... Its all in good fun, isn't it? Nothing worth getting upset over..." At the same time, she actually didn't know how to respond to their sibling... Stuff, or whatever Adora was doing.
So Trista added, "It sounds like you had a lot of fun at Olmia, though, mister Kemp. Maybe you've even got some especially cool stories from way back?" She exaggerated the 'way back' part, a little teasing of her own.

“Oh c’mon, I’m not that bad. I’ve kept my head around normal size.” Zephyr laughs, taking Vess’ comment on the chin.
“That’s a lie, your head has always been too big. Or at least, its too big in proportion to your tiny brain.”
“Shush, you.” Zephyr replies, ending the line of conversation. “As for interesting stories, I’ve got plenty! If you want to hear something really spicy, there was this one time during a field trip that everybody almost died. Me and like, 4 other kids were group up and we were trying to climb up to Solis. We had settled in for the night in our little tents off the path and everything was fine until we all heard this rumbling. Before we knew it, we were all caught in this avalanche! It was crazy. There was snow everywhere. Luckily, me and this girl were able to get out our Pokemon and burn our way out, but all our shit was ruined and we were still a few miles away from everything. We ended up spending the night hiking up to Solis while we were dead tired and close to getting hypothermia. It was funny too, ‘cuz they don’t have a Pokecenter or anything, so we just stayed at this doctor’s house with his wife because he wanted to make sure we didn’t die.” He animatedly tells the story, gesturing wildly as he talks.
“Yeah, the mountains around Solis are pretty prone to avalanches. People say there’s like, rare pokemon that cause them or something. It’s probably just a natural thing, though. That’s why people don’t really go there.” Chaika explains.
“Wish somebody told us that before.”
“They probably did, you just haven’t paid attention to anything in your life.”
As the group talks and bickers, the other members of the Elite 4 stay where they are, entranced in their own conversations.

Bite the back of his cheek as Zo talked, putting his hands on the back of his head as he gets up. "Yeah, warm sounds wicked good right about now. I've never really been out of Asper myself, so it'll be cool to, like, explore around and stuff, yeah. Any place with water is fine by me, dude."

Zo chuckles lightly at Greg's words. "Somehow I'd figured that, yes," he comments lightly. "You might like Melodes then. My dad works at the water type rehab center. He might be willing to give a tour of the place, if you'd like, if we ever drop by." He shrugs.

No Pokemon Centers, frequent avalanches, and practically one of the furthest corners of all Olmia? As if Trista needed more reasons to avoid it... Still, a potential super-rare Pokemon? Something to look into later, for sure. "Scary stuff. Guess I know what I'll need before setting foot on that mountain."
And then she asked a flatter, "Wait...! You wish they'd told you about the avalanches or the rare Pokemon?"

Vess nods along with the conversation, finding herself mildly engaged in the story. "Rare pokemon... like Absol right? I think I'm remembering that properly."

“The avalanches.” Zephyr replies. “Everyone talks about the Pokemon, but nobody mentions the avalanches. Sometimes somebody will talk about how backwards the town is, but for some reason, nobody ever thinks to bring up the avalanches.”
“Maybe they were just hoping it’d take you out.”
Zephyr continues, brushing off Zelda’s remark. “And yeah, there’s plenty of rare ‘Mon around there. I think Absols go up that way, but it’s been a while. I’m not as focused on catching Pokemon as I used to be. I’m living the ‘glamorous’ E4 lifestyle now!” He laughs. Zelda rolls her eyes dramatically. “Anyway, I better go make sure Felix isn’t getting in any trouble over there. Nice talking to you gals!”
The group says their goodbyes to Zephyr as he walks off, leaving them to talk amongst themselves.

Eventually, the bell for the first class rings, bringing the assembly to an end. The gathered mass of students flood down the hallways, filing into various different classrooms. Ms. Moore doesn’t seem happy with the amount of time it took everyone took to get to class, but doesn’t mention it. Halfway through a lesson about the various industries in each zone, an announcement comes on over the intercom. “Trista Umbra to the main office, please. Trista Umbra to the main office.” The calm female voice drones. “Go ahead, Trista.” Ms. Moore says before jumping right back into a lecture about agriculture. Edu: General: BIKzy00u3d6+1 Spending 1 AP Zo manages to pay close attention to the class and retain a fair bit of information. When Trista's name was called up, he winces inwardly, a brief flash of concern that they'd been found out coming up, but he quickly pushes it down. It's probably nothing important... all of us would've been called if we'd been found out.3d6+1

Vess has difficulty not dying of boredom as she sits in a class period about agriculture of all things, so Trista being called to the office is a nice moment of distraction. She leans over to Trista and whispers, "Just shoot me a text if anything is wrong, or if you need help, or something. I'd be more than willing to walk out of this class to do something actually interesting." Gen Ed: 3ExyGlB52d62d6

Class was class, which meant it was altogether pretty boring. The places that farmed farmed, and the places that mined mined, and it wasn't like you'd have to be a genius to tell one from the other... So Trista thought, only following along as much as necessary. Which made the interruption to their normal class time all the more surprising. Snapping to attention aside, she managed to contain her surprise. As Trista stood up, she whispered back, " Text... Right. Should be fine." Confirming she had her Pokedex and problem-mon, she stopped at the doorway to thank Miss Moore, and continued her meek shuffle down to the office. Although once Trista was out of sight of the classroom, it was time to loosen up some. Being called to the office was nothing big, even for a prestigious school like this, right? Greg sat down and started instantly dozing off in class, hardly paying attention to anything, as per usual. Well, whatever the teach was talking about sounded kind of interesting, plants were awfully cool after all, Greg was never really into plants; much more of a water guy himself. The boy was so distracted, that he hardly noticed Vess was called off, Greg's head on the desk as he struggled to keep his eyes open. General Edu: CGqPqY9L1-6 1-6

Trista:
When Trista arrives at the main office, the gum chewing, bored looking secretary looks her up and down. “You’re Trista, yes?”
Without waiting for an answer, the woman pushes a large box out from under her desk. The box doesn’t seem like anything out of the ordinary, aside from its size, of course. On the outside, its entirely cardboard with a large postage label. Speaking of, it must’ve cost a fortune to ship that thing.
“We didn’t want to leave it outside your dorm in case anyone stole it, and it was too big to hide, so you might want to put that in your room now.” The woman explains.

Whatever Trista might have been expecting, a package was most certainly not on that list. On the other hand, it sounded like this was no ordinary package, and certainly not something from home... But seriously, what was she supposed to do to hide it?
...of course, she had an idea, if not a destination, so Trista nodded belatedly and answered, "Right, right... Thanks, I'll just take this, then?" It didn't look too big to carry, or all that heavy, so she began by picking up said box and taking it in a Girl's dorm-ly direction. Closer inspection could wait just a little while, for somewhere more private.

Trista:
Trista is easily able to get back to her dorm and to her room without any trouble, aside from the fact that the box is a little heavy, that is. When she finally sits down to open the box, she sees that inside is another box. This mysterious inner box is way fancier than the outer box, though.
The inner box looks like a holiday present, complete with a cute white snowflake print on the blue background of the box. A shiny blue ribbon surrounds the giant package. It’s even tied in a grandiose bow at the top! It looks more like a prop used in a holiday display or on tv than something physical and real.
Inside the present box is a card sitting upon a fluffy mound of light blue tissue paper. The outside of the greeting card is printed with a pretty landscape of Olmia, which is pretty, but its not anything out of the ordinary. Plenty of parents send Olmia themed cards as congratulations for getting in or for other accomplishments, so its not too odd to receive one.
Class continues on and eventually ends without Trista. Everyone rushes out of the door to get to the next class, and it doesn’t seem like she’s made it back to join the masses yet. Oddly enough, it doesn’t seem like Dylan is anywhere to be seen either. It was hard to notice his absence in the classroom since Ms. Moore didn’t take attendance due to the slightly delayed start, but now that everyone is out and about, it’s clear that he’s nowhere to be seen.

The box was a bit of a pain to transport, and home or Trinity, Trista couldn't guess what was in there. Once she was safely in her room (which included withdrawing any Porygon in case of an electric doohickey), it looked like the large box was just an inconvenient ruse... But this was too exciting to grumble about, even if bringing it here had been a pain. Digging into the fluffy, inviting mound of paper straightaway to unearth its contents was appealing, but this Miss Umbra was no slob! So she daintily shoved aside the far too-cheerful present and opted to read the attached card and lay the mystery to rest, first. Intuition, per GM request. m6BRhh1g2d6 No modifiers, no AP. 2d6

Trista:
The note doesn’t really look like Trista’s mom’s handwriting, but she was probably just rushing. It reads:

Darling? New friends? And who would call this a little gift, anyways? Not that it was lame enough to be a dad joke, either... Well, whatever, "Mom" wanted her to share, so Trista set down the card, picked up her Pokedex, and eventually found Vess' last message to her.
From there, she replied:
Once that was sent, she released her Pokemon for some consultation, asking, "What do you think, Pory? Probably homemade cookies or something, to help make friends, right? Yeah, that's a pretty lame parent-y gift, isn't it?"

Trista:
Porygon doesn’t seem to pay much attention to what Trista is saying and is more interested in levitating around her. After she finishes speaking, Pory beeps excitedly at her. Maybe he wants homemade cookies too? Or perhaps he’s just happy to be out of his pokeball. It’s hard to tell.

Vess looks at her pokedex and tilts her head in confusion. Did Trista really need her for opening a package from her parents? Still, would give her a good excuse to get out of that godawful caretaking class. So, Vess walks back to the dorms, hunting down Trista to see what's up.
