"Yep. Needs to die." Muku states, gathering her things and her Pokémon; brief break now broken. Whatever this muscle bug was, it didn't belong. That is something she understood innately in her bone of bones, her beak of her beak.
"You can't keep Talon. I need them to fight. Maybe once the bug is dead, we can rest, but if I'm going to going on a hunt, I need them at my side." She stated this firmly and plainly, moving across the room and replacing her shoes upon her feet. Things needed to die after all. As soon as possible. That just couldn't wait. "Are they ready? Maybe I can stop by later."
Maybe, she thinks. It was a strong maybe.

"Talon isn't ready. Go get some sleep in a real bed. Let Miranda look after you, then Talon will be ready.". Joy answered tensely, positioning herself between Muku and the healing machine.
(Muku may make an intuition roll.)

"Talon wasn't as injured as Rat." Muku says, eyelids narrowing with doubt as she stares down the nurse. She tried to read into the nurse's mood, though doing so was difficult. Was she angry? Why that could ever be the case was probably be beyond Muku's feeble understanding. What she did understand, was that she wasn't leaving without Talon.
Full stop. End of story.

"Rat is made of rat. Talon is made of steel. It takes longer to heal.". Joy added more deftly, but neither moved nor relinquished the sword. "Rest here, or rest at home, but you will rest. Fighting is not a thing to be done exhausted, bruised, and beaten."

Talon and Rat can take a break for tonight. But I'm not leaving without one of my partners. Last time I did that, I didn't see them again for a long time." Muku says, bitterly remembering that sharp, painful moment of fear where she had feared she wouldn't see Hornise again. No, absolutely not. She wouldn't bear it.
"Besides, I'm fine." She retorts. "I barely got any action this last time. I'm sure I can handle this now if I have to. And it sounds like I have to, because I will not allow someone, or something to get hurt because I wasn't willing to do something about it."
She takes a deep breath. She needed to assert some control over the situation. Calmly. But strongly. "Nurse Joy. It's your job to help people. You get this. You need let me solve situation before someone is brought in here beaten bloody. I need to do this. You get that, right?"

"I do understand that, but I think you are being impatient and overvaluing your importance. When was the last time you took a day to let your Pokemon do as they please without being in a life or death situation? Do you not realize Cianwood is an island of fighters? Yes, you have done some incredible things. Yes, you may help with the muscle bug. No, you should not do that now. Not for your sake or your Pokemon's. Cianwood will be fine for today."
Joy folded her arms across her chest obstinately.

The young trainer fumed, gaze looking past the nurse and onto the machine behind her. That was her goal and this conversation is going nowhere. Well. If she couldn’t convince her this way…
She takes off her coat, hanging it on the rack aside her. Her hat is pulled away to reveal her magnificent comb, violent and radiant. As her shoes are the removed she crosses across the room, not to the nurse, but to the nearby wrestling mat.
“You’re all fighters you say? Well come on then. I know what I have to do. You think you know what you need to do. Let’s settle this on the mat. I’ll show you how I nearly took out a legend.”

"You think you are the first trainer in here to claim something like that and walk into my center like they have clout?". Joy unbuttons her uniform top and hangs it on the chair behind her desk. "Coming in here with poorly cared for Pokemon unwashed, and unrested. Well.". She struck up an impressive flex, showing off her refined musculature and winked.
"Time to show you what age and experience can do."
Joy acts first and used her physique combined with her gentle eyes to emotionally off balance Muku with Baby Doll Eyes. AP Spent, 8 Vs. AC 2. Swift Action to Play Her Like A Fiddle. Muku loses 1 ATK CS and her strikes on Joy use half her offensive stats for the remainder of the fight.

"You-! You don't get it! It's not like that at all!" Muku yells, clearly unbalanced just as the nurse had hoped. Even with her best efforts for her anger to break through, she finds herself lost and confused in the nurse's soft smile and dizzying muscles. Still. To her credit, she gives the Nurse a look of her own, sharp and angry. It would hopefully be a familiar look... One that takes as she begins to jump from side to side. Muku begins to Splash and attempts a Glare!

"Isn't it? You're so cock-sure of yourself that your Pokemon have barely ate or slept in days, and when they did it was just enough to get them fighting fit, and right back to it. Then you strut in here and insist you are the only one capable of throwing a punch.".
Joy uses Torment as a Standard and Play Them Like A Fiddle as a Swift Action. Glare is Disabled, Run Away is Disabled. Muku takes another -10 to damage for this round. Joy enters Melee.

"You don't know me and you don't know my Pokémon." Her eye twitches, falters, before growing red with a uncanny intensity. She couldn't run now. At least, not yet. Stepping up into the nurse and matching her steely gaze, she begins to shout, "You don't think I wanted rest? You don't think I'd like to take a break? I'd LOVE to. But I can't afford to!! I watched my friend die. I won't let that happen again!"She twists her face, bearing her cheek through gritted eye. "Go ahead. Punch me. Just. Do it!"Muku stops Splashing and will refuse the chance to dodge. She does however, uses Mean Look, slowing and trapping Nurse Joy!

Joy settled her strong hands on Muku's shoulders and took a deep breath. "Muku, do you know what my job is as a nurse?". She didn't wait for an answer and continued. "Ultimately, It is my job to make sure people don't die. I am willing to go through a lot to make sure that doesn't happen. Something I had to learn very early on, is that you can't save everyone."
If Muku made a move to get away Joy doesn't keep her. "Every Joy, in every region on Pokéarth can tell you stories of Pokemon that have died. There is an entire mountain in Hoenn, a city in Kanto, towers and monuments in every region of humans and pokemon that were loved. I'm sorry you lost someone. It does not change my course of action. If you choose to fight me, I will protect you from yourself."

Muku shrugs the hands off. She refused to break contact with her eyes. "I don't need your pity." The girl spits, dripping with acid. "See. Here's the funny thing. The great thing. I didn't choose this fight. YOU chose this fight when you tried to keep Talon from me. Like Magma, like you. All the same!"In whatever way Nurse Joy was planning to answer, she had lost the chance. Muku reformed her battling stance, but her game plan had changed. She feints right, dodges left, splashing through the air and leaving behind the now shimmering form of Whoopie Goldsire. "Goldsire sit her ass down! Yawn!"Muku splashes out of battling range with Quick Gymnastics, also avoiding any AoO's. Goldsire Yawns, which will cause Nurse Joy to go to sleep after her next move.

"Nurse, Alarm please.". Joy called into the back before flipping open a phone. "Contact Miranda.". She couldn't help but yawn, starting to sag as it rang. "Miranda...? Muku's home, she's being fed on... I... I can't-". And she fainted. There is some shuffling in the back room, followed by a soft "Chansey?"

"I won't let you make decisions for me! Nobody makes decisions for me!" Muku bites, screaming at the now sleeping form of Nurse Joy. She would ignore it. The Nurse was an oppressor, one who wanted to chain her down. Muku was not born to be chained. Muku was born to fly.
Vaulting the counter, she snatches Talon from their bay and flips back the other way round in swift pair of motions. Her footsteps fell light and quick as she made her strides. Passing the fallen form of Joy, a bolt of malice strikes through her. With a swift kick and a crunch, it happens.
She smashes the phone. Perhaps she might have heard the whispers of a voice breaking through the panic and strangeness, but she was not interested. This was a moment of action, not rationality and she would have none of this 'human' weakness. Wordlessly, she recalls the concerned face of Goldsire. Coat and hat put into place. A mantel of protection. Authority. As she leaves, Muku glares, snarling directed at nearby passerby. A warning not to try and stop her. In the middle of the quaint dirt roads, the large form of Monolith unfurls. She mounts up quickly, saying, "Monolith. Take us to the caves. It's time."

Monolith takes off, blowing sand between the buildings as Joy sprints out into the yard of the center. Muku can hear Miranda calling her desperately as she lifts off. Monolith doesn't stop, bearing her to the split crag where they first met, and into its depths. Once there, he allows Muku to disembark and watched her intensely. Light filters through crystals above, giving the place a red shifted look.

Kneeling, Muku casts her eyes to the crystal formations above. Her heart was pounding hard enough to hurt in her chest and she was willing herself to calm down. She should calm down. She must calm down. It set a bad example. A weak example. Choking breathes fade into a steady hum of breath; in and out, in and out.
What had she done? Weren't her actions a little too extreme back there? No, a part of her whispers. They were not. They were necessary to maintain sovereignty over her own destiny. This was a good and just act. A second part, softer, but no less stronger. The nurse didn't mean harm. She was just worried. Worried, that Muku would hurt herself or her Pokémon by trying to push herself too far. But if you are not of constant vigilance, are you not inviting pain? Are you not inviting your enemies to enter your nest and take your flock away? It happened once. The nurse was trying to do it again. The nurse would learn to know that was a mistake in time.
The second voice is silent still. Worried. They know it is not her to think this way, but feel powerless to speak up and give that thought to word. They fade, as had become their custom.
After a lost moment of time, Muku sets aside Talon's Pokeball and rises from the earth, cocking her head back to meet the gaze of the ancient being now before her. In halting, stuttering steps, she lifts her hand to hold his face steady as she presses her forehead across the brim of the old creature's nose. It is strange, almost tender action from Muku. One of the few, true tender actions she had left in her today. "You've fulfilled everything I could ask of you. You gave me wings I had none to fly, and bones by which to claw and strike." She intones. Continuing, though now eyes open, "I'll not hold you in my possession. You were wild at birth and you are wild now still. We've accomplished something notable together, and I should hope that if you have any descendants, they might hear of how you struck out the bird of ice and with one mighty blow, snapped the great monsoon from their fury."
Solemnly, she lifts her head and steps back. Ever so gently, she places Monolith's Pokeball in front of him and takes a step back. "I give this symbol to you. Smash it and fly free or perhaps if you wish to remain... But I'm not going to make that decision for you."

Monolith released a derisive snort, with enough force to roll the PokeBall against Muku's foot. He sat back on his haunches, wings folded at his sides. There was a hint of offense in his posture, before he tucked his head under the leading edge of his wing as though to sleep.

Her cheeks puff, full of light and angry air. "I worked really hard on what I was going to say, you know that right?" She huffs. It is a temporary anger, one that quickly gives way to a dizzying relief. "I'm glad you want to stay. I'll try to do honor on you as your trainer."
She leans down and- woah. Yeah. Dizzying. Her hand reaches up and she cradles her brain as her vision goes a bit fuzzy. Huh. What was that? Stress maybe? It certainly wasn't good. She had a bug to kill tonight and-
No. Absolutely not. The nurse may be an 'awful human', but they weren't a 'wrong' human. Her body, this mortal shell, was tired. Look, oh Muku, look to the sleeping form of the Monolith. Strong though he may be, his wings are tired from days of flight. All birds must come to roost in time, lest their bodies break midflight, plummeting, plummeting until all things end in a sickening crack. She couldn't protect anyone if she was deceased.
She could, another thought postulates.
No, was the stern reply.
These were all thoughts. More thoughts than what Muku needed right now. Before she realizes it, she finds herself nestling up against the sleeping form of the Monolith. These caves, these dark, forbidding things. They were not a bad place for a nest. A rocky crag on which to make a home. Her talons, her talons so swift. They could fight off the boulders. Wait, nope. Muku, Muku didn't take... That class...
The young girl inevitably nods off, taking thought and mind into a deep, dark void in which she might find rest.

A leathery wing nudges Muku up onto Monolith's feet, the massive creature huddling protectively over her as the pair slept. Her dreams were plagued with enemies on all sides and no havens to turn to save those she carved out with her own talons. She woke feeling clammy and ill. Sunset in its oranges filtered weakly into the crag. It was going to be dusk soon. Monolith yet slept.
