It took a moment to register the words as they crossed her ears. Yes, the could end this battle. But Lugia would end them. As her eyes cast across the struggling crew and at the maelstrom in the skies, she suddenly got the picture. "I think I got it. Lugia thinks you are a threat. Scratch that, knows you are a threat. The moment you decided to release Kyogre a few days ago, they were already responding. So, they aren't going to just suddenly stop fighting unless the threat of this world drowning is completely gone."
She takes a breath. Now or nothing right? "Leave Lugia to me. I don't think anyone of yours has someone who can fly like I can. I'll convince the birds, but you HAVE do something to remove that big whale from the equation. Nothing ends until this ends, alright?"

"I'll put it away. Hope you know what you are doing kid. Okay with calling this a loss if my men and women come out of this alright.". Archie rammed his shoulder against the cabin wall, accompanied by a wet meaty popping sound, and worked his shoulder briefly.
At the bow, he let out a shrill whistle. Something jagged and missile shaped, flying erratically hit the water and speed and he dove onto it. The shark from before, Muku might have thought. Archie threw himself into its back, gripping some kind of metal harness. "LETS GO JETSAM!". And the pair were gone, all foam and roll in their wake.
Muku has two turns until Kyogre is off the field.

Muku turns out into the distant roiling sea. "I don't know what I'm doing." She mutters. "But that hasn't stopped me before."
Talon folds back into their sheathes as both blades retreat to Muku's back, tassels gripping her solidly for purchase. Motioning Mmip closer, Muku gently plucks from the sky and tucks the cotton ball beneath her arm. With a swift flourish, she flicks her free hand up into the air as her voice screams, "MONOLITH!" at the top of her lungs. Not waiting for the response, she backs up. One step. Two steps. With a deep priming breath she dashes off the edge of the ship towards the icy flow below.

With a primal scream of friendship Monolith is under Muku before she hits the water, and turns away from the wind, using it to gain altitude before wheeling back in the direction his trainer instructed. Muku could tangentially feel three spirits riding with her, a flock against one of three pinnacles of her kind. A god made flesh, and they were in its domain.
Ahead, Jetsam continued it's erratic, manic flight towards the glowing patterns that were Primal Kyogre, Archie crouched low across its back, slick with wet.

Her eyes cast downward as she clings onto Monolith with the only free hand that she has left, arms straining against the load of a sudden burst of speed and flight. Head tilting back, she looks up at the legendary of deep sea and sky and ponders the great magnitude of her task.
But only briefly. Muku didn't like to think.
Reeling in Monolith as close as possible, she shouts to the giant bird in a commanding voice, words floating over the sea, saying, "Lugia! This fight has been called! They're surrendering. There is no longer need to fight! Stand down before anyone else gets hurt!"

The glow beneath the wave disappears with the faintest flicker of a thin red beam, Kyogre's primordial mass becoming energy and giving the full scope of the sea beast before it disappears entirely. The rain begins to ease with its passing, but the wind only strengthens.
Lugia hangs in place, heavy wingbeats keeping it aloft, sharp eyes fixated on Jetsam. Iris, pupil and sclera give way to a solid blue glow. It doesn't answer her cry for peace, but the shark lifts free of the water, outlined in that same blue light, Archie still aboard.

"You don't want to stop fighting just yet. Do you?" Muku intones. Her fist crinkles into a fist. "Alright. Fine. Have it your way!! Let's get that rage and anger out!" Monolith takes a massive wing beat, screeching forward in their intimidating show of force. Beside her, Mmip struggles, a familiar bloodlust rising up in her pom-poms of grim power. Not her rage of course. Lugia's. At the last second, Muku releases her payload, Mmip soaring through the sky as they suddenly begin to shed a heaping helping of angry, angry powder into the towering maw of the sea prince. Itching powder enters the nostrils, the eyes; imparting all at once a sinister dull pain and ache of a truly deep, abiding rage. Monolith, spinning dangerously, allows their wings to glow as a shower of rocks breaks off of their wings and are hurled at the great and mighty beast. Battle is joined in the sky. There is but one command; do or die. Monolith takes command out from underneath Talon at Init 25. Mmip rage powders Lugia in the face and flutters. Do not pass go. Do grow unreasonably angry at the ball of joy that is Mmip. Monolith receives Brutal orders and throws out a Stone Edge. Lugia is Frightened, and loses 2 Spd stages. End of turn, Stat Link bumps up the attack of Monolith.
Positioning wise, Muku is going to fly away from Mmip on Monolith, so as not to get caught in AoEs and attack at a distance with this next shot.

The blue plant with its puffs moves into Lugia's path, releasing it's powders, but a being so ancient and combat wise is not so easily fooled. With a thunderous beat of its wings, it is wreathed in a bubble of air, casting the powders and even some of Monolith's stones aside. The largest of these seem to diminish the pearlescent luster of Lugia's body. (Multiscale is Activated and expended).
Bolting from the bubble, which explodes behind it, Lugia darts behind Monolith, body in a raptor's pose and ready. Mmip gives a little wiggle into a sideslip, and is again in the legend's face, which stops short bewildered, Mmip only picking up speed with the downdraft.
(Sky Attack Setup used Zephyr Shield, Zephyr Shield prevents powder effects and reduces ranged damage by 10. Multiscale resists damage one step when a health bar is full. Mmip intercepts the flying move, gains +1 Speed, and takes no damage.)

Muku stares agog at the strange action that Mmip had taken. Did she just, protect her? Or Monolith? Doesn't matter! Probably! Rearing back, Monolith's mouth becomes a fang full of ice shards as they attempt to bite down hard upon Lugia's shimmering coat while Muku holds on for dear life, having never experienced such a terrifying flying battle in her life. Mmip's turn is expended by the Interception. Muku Brutal Orders Ice Fang!

Lugia let out a keening as icy fangs broke off against it's swan like neck, eyes lighting from within as it drew stones from beyond the sky, hurtling through the clouds to smash into Mmip and Monolith. Lugia draws strength from the connections, though the damage itself is superficial at best.
(32 Neutral Special damage to Mmip, 37 Neutral Special to Monolith. Lugia gains +2 CS to all stats.)
From above there is a high pitched sound, as though something were approaching at astounding speeds, a blue streak trailing water slams into Lugia from above, driving it shrieking down, down, flailing to recover. Muku manages to make eye contact with Archie for the fraction of a second the impact slowed his descent. He smiles the smile of Brave Bird. The one who attacks. A plume of grit and sand, alongside a mass of bubbles rises up through the sea.
Lugia surfaces, a wing clearly broken. Muku can only watch in horror as it mends itself. Archie doesn't appear again.
(Take Down and Reckless Advance both successfully trip Lugia. Lugia takes five injuries, spends an action to reach the surface, then another to Recover. Lugia takes a tick of damage.)

A truly magnificent display of power. The traced form of Archie against a stormy stroke sky. The falling of a truly powerful titan as they plummet from the sky. It filled her with courage. For the first time since Terra, she wasn't fighting alone it seemed. Her hand, tracing the side of a stone stroked beast would say otherwise. She wasn't really, ever alone, was she? She had her plock. And right now, that Plock needed her to fight. She pulls her hand across her belt and swiftly returns Mmip. "Monolith, dive after! Prepare a Stone Edge!" Then her grip finds the hilt of Talon. Yes. Yes. Perhaps this would be the time that Talon would get to slay a god. Together they break into a dive, faster and faster as the ocean's edge screams closer. With a 'whip' of her arms, Muku hurls the twin blades towards the belly of the beast while Monolith drops their load of stones and bricks! Errybody be moving into melee if possible. Stone Edge from Monolith, Talon unleashes their Dual Shadow Sneak once more. Brutal Orders to Monolith.

Monolith sideslips another wave of rocks, a few breaking against Talon's blade in the descent. Lugia finishes mending it's wing and rises into the air once more. It looks pissed. (Monolith takes 50 Rock Special, Lugia takes a tick of damage for being heavily injured.)

Muku lets out an inspiring, yet manic war cry as her voice warbles through the night air. Guiding Monolith below the now flying creature, Muku takes a pass with Talon's blazing ghost edges as Monolith gathers the rest of their stones in an attempt to strike once again! Brutal to Monolith. Talon attempts Dual Shadow Sneak again. The Unending Edge of Monolith makes another swing.

With Talon's strike, a massive blast wave of air caved the sea beneath to the foundation of the ocean itself. The clouds parted, and a shaft of pure sunlight descended for the first time in days. Lugia considered the change, the diminishing rains, and snorted to itself before disappeariny into the ocean with all due speed.
With the sky clearing, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres gave each other a progressively wider berth until they dispersed for their respectige home islands. Archie's crew hauled themselves from the water a few at a time. Battered, bruised, and exhausted. The shark missile surfaced and spat his master onto the aft deck.

Down a atop a nearby ice flow, Muku stares in shock of what has transpired. They won? Maybe. Maybe not. But no, they won. This was it. The three legendary birds, Lugia. They were retreating; returning back to the places from which they came with neither fanfare nor any aggrieved action. It simply was that Muku, Talon, and Monolith scored such a hit as to wake Lugia into a state of brief shock, a state long enough for it to realize that their fight was now long over and that they could rest. Talon, coiling around her arms, one sword cool, the other seething hot with the lingering sentiment of anger and bitterness. She could have become a god, she realizes. But that was a silly thought. She wasn't even sure it was hers. For now the blades still and quiet, unseen bickering giving way to the lumbering head of Monolith as it bends low, nudging Muku across the face with all the care and caress of a brick wall.
It was enough to break her from her stupor. Truth be told, she hadn't even realized that they had landed. The moments before and after the strike had seemed to pass so quickly that now there was only that lingering state, and even that was fading fast from her system. The last vestiges of adrenaline run their course and at last she feels... Tired? Exhausted maybe. Such tumult, such battle. At long last, maybe this was a time to rest? Right now, right here. To curl up onto the ice and just drift along with it for a while. Oh to be a chunk of ice tossed by the waves.
The idea was stupid, but it made her smile. Ragged breaths steady into the low drumbeat ever punctuating both the quietude and loudness of her life. Atop the ice, the young girl ponders quietly that impossibly broad question that inevitably all humans ask.
What next?

For now, nothing. The slow slap and chop of the waves dying, the crew aboard Archie's ship trying to bring him around. Jetsam, with another scar from his impact with god, joins Muku at the edge of the iceberg and watches her with those odd, black sclera, red pupil eyes. Some coughing, the sound of a man puking, then a collective cheer pierces the quieting atmosphere.
"Why do I smell like goddamn fish!"
Jetsam smiled a toothy smile, turning in place back towards home.

Her eyes followed the shark carefully as it stared at her. Appraising her? Remembering her? Trying to figure out what her blood smelled like? Or maybe... Ah. Now she got it. Comradery. Perhaps akin to the same kind they felt with their trainer Archie the eco-terrorist.
Oh. Right. Archie.
Archie, the man who took on a legend of the seas and also happened to have the world's most dangerous whale in his pocket, was next. Probably. Giving Talon one last pair of squeezes, she returned them to their carrying space and quickly strides atop the ancient one's lumbering form. In a flash, she too was unceremoniously dumped atop the deck of the ship though her landing was filled with much more grace. An old panic rises to the surface, and for the first time in what felt like a long time, she felt anxious as she said, "Hey! sorry, sorry, I zoned out for a second. Bird thoughts. You all alright? Or at least, are most of you still... Living?"

"More than a few good men recovering below. Shelly, report!" The woman Muku recognized from Terra's kidnapping tucked her bangs to one side. "All hands accounted for Archie!". "Goodnuff. Ugh...". Archie flopped out on his back. "Jetsam you little shit, should've left me drown!". The shark again surfaced at the aft of the ship and rested it's face beside Archie. "Yeah yeah... I'd have missed you too.". He pats its nose.
"One of the 'alfs is aboard captain! Do we take her to the brig?". "Leave her be. Anyone raises a hand they're dealing with Ol' Archie". "Aye Captain!"
"So... Muku. What's it to be then?"

The nerves fade a little. Good. Business. Communicating alpha to alpha. This? This was the kind of confrontation she could handle.
"Well. As far as I'm concerned, you know where things stand now. This world; it's not going to end being covered by water. But just because you tried, doesn't mean you need to get punished for it. Just... Don't do that. Ok? If you've been dragged to this world by some other guy, then I'm sure you and the big whale thing are probably strong enough to make him walk you back."
A small conspiratorial grin crosses her cheeks. "I'm not sure if there are many trainers who could have done what you and Jetsam did either. I didn't know fish could fly like that."

Archie laughed, deep and proud, a hand pressing into his side where he looks oddly deflated, like a bone went missing. "If it were all just that easy as slapping a lubber about to go home we'd have been done and gone. Jetsam ain't like other fish, see? Doesn't shoot water to fight, rather use his teeth, so he shoots water out the other end instead to launch himself. Damn good at it too. Most fun we've had in awhile."
He turned his head and spat red. "Maybe I should have left past in the past. Worked with Maxie this once even though he's a Ponce. Wanted to learn about the energy that brought us here. Amass enough we could go home, without having to ask. Using it on Pokemon is no way to go about things though."
He admired Muku and grinned a grizzled grin. "Brought you about, so it can't be all bad. Long as you are enjoying your freedoms."
