Maven gets a few nods from Terra as she's informed that they should be able to handle themselves. "Good." This was so many people to be around, and to be dealing with. It wasn't what she was used to.
"Then we shouldn't all go. At least not all at once," Terra tells Stag, one of her arms crossing her own chest in thought. "They will go ahead and start heading out," she states nodding towards Maven's group. "Who are the most likely to come with us, without trying to attack me or stop the others?" she asks the taller.
A short break from Stag to let her mull over that question, she turns attention back on the volunteer to help. "Then you can. Since you haven't been in a fight before, you need to stay a bit back when the fighting starts. As backup, in case we get in a tight spot." Terra's voice is calm in her instruction.

Maven begins to guide her group out into the hall, ushering them ahead. She gives Ruin a nod, and he bears down for all he is worth. The lights go out, the footsteps continue to pile free of the room at a now accelerated pace. In the hall a door opens, then more. They are on their way.
Stag makes a grumbling noise or two after the lights go dark, but is still thinking on their return. "Cutter's the leader. They'll follow her over me. Nobody I guess..."
"Okay... Thank you.". The boy replied.
Ruin, sweating and panting, took a moment to recover again.

This response from Stag is not comforting, Terra takes a few deep breaths to keep her nerves calm. No going back now, they were doing this. The sound of footsteps causing her to slowly flex her muscles.
"Alright, lets do this then," Terra states glancing towards the other girl. Then to Ruin and the boy. She was ready to fight as soon as the footsteps were close enough to attack. A slow crack coming from her fists as she pops her knuckles.

The base goes on full alert shortly after Terra leads her squad down into the lower levels. Frantic footfalls and yells quieting from above as the elevator descends level after level. The soft hum of machinery is the only thing that fills the silence, making it more awkward then being confined in a tight space with complete strangers normally might be.
With a chime, the door slides open. The lights here stutter and dim. A hallway wide enough for two abreast leads forward. Terra can hear cries Pokemon and alien both. Sounds that make her uncomfortable. Not in the sense of a predator, more an offness. Something beyond or askew what should be. Ruin has gone deathly still. The small boy had quietly introduced himself as Thomas shivered against the back wall of the elevator. Stag watched the lights with some concern.
"Power was supposed to be the most stable on this level.". She gestures to the stuttering lighting.

Now in the elevator, Terra would look up towards the ceiling of the moving room. The quietening of the shouts and alarms had her swallowing slowly. Fingers flexing some to keep her focused, grounding her to the now. Do not be pulled out of what is happening.
There is a short hesitation when the doors open, and the new sounds met their ears. Some muscles that shouldn't, tensed up as she listened to the calls and cries. Unreliable flickering did not help with that unease that had began to seep into her. A deep breath in and push out through her lips, the girl took the first step out of the elevator.
Stag's comment about the power did not do any help in easing her dislike of the basement. "That doesn't help..." Terra admits, glancing over her should to the three that came with her. "Are you ready to go further?" she asks them seriously. This was an intense situation to be in, and they needed to be prepared for whatever they were about to encounter.

The communal agreement was made, and the little group of strangers began to make their way up the hall amidst the faint smell of stone and wet, the soft drip of water, and the interspersed cries of the creatures down here. Nearing the first set of sidehalls, a visible wing went dark, the lights flaring coupled with panicked cried of Pokemon and a distant roar that Terra knew all too well...
Alone in a metal tube, a bar lined with lights spinning faster and faster. Sound filling her ears, flakes of her body tearing free in pieces. The shell that would last her until adulthood... Then light and that horrible roar reached its apex...
And she woke up like this. One of the lucky few that got to wake.

The damp stone scent kept her skin prickled whilst walking. Memories of hoses as punishment trickling at the back of her mind. No, stay on track. Don't get pulled into that. When the lights died before blinding the group. Terra shut her eyes tightly in response with a hissed out curse.
It all came rushing back, all at once. The girl stopping in place, body having a short series of sharp trembles. A deep sudden breath drawing in as her eyes snap open, pupils tightly constricted from the memorized experience, pains. So many. Left hand forcing itself to open, bold white marks from her nails digging into her own soft skin.
Without a word, her head snaps towards the sound of the machine, her breath pushed out in a heavy manner before beginning down the pathway. Footsteps falling quickly, movements more frantic than she had been the rest of the time she had been in this base. This damned place.

The hammer opened the two doors between Terra and the growing Din. The first at a glance was some kind of preparatory room. The second contained one of those sleek metal pods, rapidly approaching the apex of the sound. If there was further change to it, Terra's ears couldnt pick it out. Two human corpses were the only other thing occupying the room.

Once she had the doors open, Terra would then step in. Mind concentrated on one thing currently, the pods. The former Larvitar had been silent since they had agreed to move onwards. "Stop it." She speaks in a quiet firm tone, walking towards the wailing machine. Vision on the pod, she ignores the corpses. Not even a glance with her determination, possibly not even realizing their presence.
At the pod, her grip tightens on the hammer's handle. Eyes scanning over the front and panel of the contraption. She didn't how to work it at all. However she needed it to stop. Hammer raised over her right shoulder, it is brought into the side of the metal swiftly. "This needs to stop." She states again, voice holding a rage bubbling beneath the simple words unaware if she had been followed or not by her group, or if they would have any idea on how to turn the thing off. That didn't really matter though. All that mattered was stopping the noise, stopping the lights. Stop the sound and this awful thing.

Several blows from the hammer and Terra hadn't managed to open the pod yet, the small rent in the door saw coruscating colors bleeding free. The wiring she exposed seemed to be the only way. As she had so many times in the facility before, she rammed herself shoulder deep and tore at the machine's innards for all she was worth.
Something bit her. At least it felt like it had. Stabbed, slithered, roamed beneath her skin as power arced over her body and into the floor in a vibrant display of blues, yellows, and whites. She held on for dear life despite how it burned, grit her teeth against the tears in her eyes. Her shirt caught fire and bargain to smoulder in places.
She could only taste and smell it, ionized air, a tingle on her tongue. Then everything went still and silent. Pulling her arm free, admittedly more sore then she would want to admit, Terra drew a six inch long gold wire from under her skin, frayed at the end, and dropped it on the floor. The soft cries of the Pokemon in the pod continued.
She had succeeded.
(Terra takes two injuries.)
"Are you okay?". Tom lightly puts a hand on her shoulder, tapping twice as though unsure if she is still conductive or not.

Damn. Damn! This was so hard to get into! Why? The determined girl would pry the siding to squeeze in. She wasn't stopping. Even when the current shot into her form. The hand that taken hold grasped even harder. Colors flashing in her vision. Not just from what was in front of her, the heated pain lit all sorts of signals within her brain. A loud yell leaving Terra's throat. Anger. So much rage vocalized, that matched, even rivaled the mechanical bellowing.
Muscles spasming while she fought the pain. Body refusing to release the wire while it was live. Stench of frying flesh meet her and her companions' noses. A sickening scent for certain. Feet getting a firm planting Terra pulls with her might. Then it stops. Deep hard pants leaving the girl that had just served as a grounding line. Eyes looking down at her arm, eyes narrowing in disgust at the wire that had slipped under her skin. A hiss escaping as she fished it out before discarding it on the floor.
There is a silence as she takes a moment to gather her thoughts and refocus now that the horrible machine's sound was gone. Then she lets out a long breath. "Okay? Not really. But that doesn't matter right now..." Terra's voice a bit hoarse from what just transpired. She glances at Thomas before looking back at the pod. Time to see if they could get it open. Either save whatever poor creature was inside or at worst, put it out of its misery.

There are clear heavy impacts from the inside while Terra wrenches and smashes from the outside. When the door is finally smashed clear, three Pokemon emerge. A red, orange, and white rabbit nearly as tall as she is, a deep blue frog with some kind of tongue scarf (also quite big), an indistinct blur in space that moves in spurts and keeps to corners away from the others. A trap of some kind, steel gray and bright green sits on the floor of the containment unit. It has jawlike spikes around it's outer rim.

A heavy breath from her exertion left her as the door finally gives way. Terra would take a step back giving them some space so that they might not be as spooked, her undamaged arm raising to wipe her brow. In doing so also gave some space for whatever was inside.
As the three pokemon were spotted, she took a moment to observe them. First glances didn't seem that they were injured. Probably scared out of their wits, but at least in one piece. The Rabbit and Frog were interesting, even with the avoiding nature of one of them. The trap was definitely the weirdest looking to her.
"Are any of you injured?" Terra asks the pokemon getting their attention. The sooner that this was addressed and handled, the quicker she could continue with the main goal of shutting down or even destroying the basement.

On close inspection there is damage here and there on each. The rabbit has lost an ear tip and a few patches of fur. It looks at the still lightly smouldering girl and gestures at her in a "maybe you should worry about yourself". Sort of way. The frog is missing the webbing from one hand and the other has burn holes in it. It cups these together but considers Terra with sharp eyes.
The spikes on the trap have been dulled, rounded, or notched. A soft thud and a small green yellow and red lizard reveals itself... Entirely lacking any sort of tail. It seems to be in great distress and pain.

Alright, not perfect, but the injuries on the two bipeds seem treatable. At the motioning to her own being, she gives a small shrug. "I can take care of myself afterwards," Terra comments to the rabbit.
There is a small sound of surprise in a gasp, that was made when a fourth pokemon appears. Definitely in worse shape than the others. "Any of you good with medicine or treating wounds?" she asks glancing back toward her group. "I've only got some potions, they can only ease a little of pain," she adds, pulling her bag off her shoulder and kneeling to dig around inside. Honestly she didn't have a lot of provisions for these sorts of things. Pulling out three regular potions for the first pokemon she had seen and a super potion for the lizard that was in distress.
"Come here," she instructs the pokemon with an additional hand motion, staying in her knelt position. It be easier to apply the potions. Its not a lot, but better than nothing.

"I was learning about it.". Tom moves to try and tend the reptile, but it scampers away breathing heavily. "It's okay little guy... we're going to help the hurt.". I'm his dedication to helping it feel better, the small boy has managed to corner it, something that immediately registers with Terra as a bad idea.
The rabbit waves off the treatment, patting his chest with a smirk. The Greninja readily accepts the potion but continues to watch Terra with sharp eyed distrust. For how tight it's pupils get from the medicine, it's clear it burns.
The trap only lays there. It doesn't move or vocalize. Stag gives it a look over. "What *is* this thing? It's got... one hell of a face."

At first Terra lets the smaller take lead on the most injured, her attention on giving the frog a few spritzes of the potion, since the other refused. It wouldn't fix the webbing, but after the initial burn and sting it should help. "Yeah, I know the stinging, it sucks," she tells the distrusting pokemon with a small shrug of apology. "But should ease some of the pain, until we can get you to someone who can take better care of that," she adds.
"Thomas, careful," Terra warns now that she looks back in the pod to see that the trap hadn't moved which was a bit unsettling in a way, and the distressed pokemon was cornered. "You don't know what it can do." Terra stands up at this point and steps inside to make sure the boy doesn't get himself hurt.

The reptile shifts through a series of bright, angry colors and patterns. It forces a weak hiss, , turning it's side to Terra and puffing up to look bigger. This gives her a look at the ragged stump that used to be the creature's tail, having been torn away in pieces as her own shell had been once.
The rabbit vocalizes with it, which just caused the creature to take a step back.

That was a change of pace for her, she hadn't seen a color changing pokemon like that before. Terra stands her ground, however she doesn't advance yet. A slight wince forms at the sight of the torn body part. "Back up some, give it some space," she tells the smaller boy.
"If you cooperate, we can help," Terra states in a calm tone. No need to be in a panic. "You're in pain right?" she asks. "We can get you out of here," she isn't bargaining. She's stating a fact to it. The girl stays where she is for now, waiting to see what the lizard will do.

The conical eyes swiveled from Terra to the chamber, to the pair standing at relaxed attention nearby. It's scales went stark black, and it slowly turned to offer it's tail to Terra and Tom. Terra does end up having to hold it still while Tom bandaged and medicates. It shakes in her arms the whole time the process is ongoing.
When it's done, it seems the stress was too much, and it has passed out against her.
