With this sign of surrender, Terra looks to Tom. "Alright, this is not going to be fun," she states honestly, taking a position to keep the pokemon still against her. She held fast and kept a firm grasp on them as the thrashed until Thomas finished.
"That's one thing down..." Terra says with a slow breath at what she had felt so far. Since the most concerning pokemon was taken care of, she would finally hold out her disturbingly sizzled arm. "Can you do anything about this?" she asks. The initial dose of adrenaline was starting to wear off and the pain was starting to sear at the damaged nerves along her appendage.

Several moments more and Terra's arm was firmly bandaged. (Remove two of your three injuries for the day.). Stag pokes at the trap with a foot, against the creature's outer ring. It scootches a short distance and stills again.

Once she was bandaged up, Terra stands up, feeling somewhat better. Passed out pokemon in her arms, even after what she went through she could easily handle the other's weight. However she did recognize how inefficient it was, and that she was an easier target.
"This is just until we get out of here," she explains to the other pokemon as she takes a pokeball from her jacket and expanding it. "It'll keep them safe and out of danger while they rest," she adds before tapping the lizard lightly to see if the ball would take the pokemon in.
With the trap shifting away from the touch, Terra steps up to it, spraying it with one of the potions to see how it would react. "Hey, if you don't want to be left here. You shouldn't be avoiding us," she tells it matter-of-factly. "Cause we're about to move on, do you want to come or not?"

A pair of eyes open up in the trap, with quite the odd smile to go with it. It scoots out after Terra at a decent pace, seemingly the best of the bunch in terms of injury, as though it were made of sterner stuff.
There is a dull mechanical clunk somewhere in the distance, and a few sparks from the machine indicate there is power in the circuit again. Ruin has been attentively looking over the corpses in the room this entire time. "Their agony was something unmatched in this world or the next.". He crowed.

Finally out of the machine and hearing the whirring beginning to come to life, Terra moves away from the pod with a look of disgust from being in there.
She looks towards Ruin, finally noticing the corpses around the floor. It is unsettling in a way now that she can see them. "Glad we're not them then," Terra states, looking them over. It was weird that they were already dead. "Wonder what did this though," she comments more so under her breath.
There's a quiet pause as she observes them, until she speaks up again. "Let's see if there's anything useful on the tables or in here," she instructs. She didn't expect any of them to investigate the bodies for anything. "Afterwards we'll be keep moving forward."

Each corpse has branch-like lines seared along every inch of visible skin, the eyes entirely gone. The skin has split in a number of places, most notably the fingertips, and each victim lays in a dried puddle of blackish char that would have presumably been blood once. On close inspection, Terra removes another of those gold wires from the neck of the corpse, this one running down along the spine. It comes out with some difficulty.
On the tables themselves, Terra located little of immediate value. The group returns to the facility and proceeds. The piping for the wire starts to make less sense, the further in the girl moves. It moves in a wave, sometimes curling back in on itself. Thicker, with a black rubber coating. A far cry different from the straight and orderly.
A second roar, this one closer.

This discovery of the state that the bodies were in, had Terra's lip pulling into a scowl. It was really disturbing, they certainly didn't have the ability to handle electricity like she could. And even with her own natural protection, it still was pretty agonizing. Then there's the wire, much like the one that attempted to make home in her own arm, she drops it pretty quickly once she realized that.
Satisfied that there's nothing more, she takes them back on track. That's when she notices the piping, she narrows her eyes in thought some while they move through the halls. "I... don't trust that," she mutters aloud. She can't say why though, but it keeps her a bit more on edge than she had been previously.
Then there was the roar again, Terra stops for a moment, scanning the immediate area. "Stay close, and avoid any wires if you see them," she tells her now bigger group. Feet leading her towards the roar.

The next chamber is much the same as the last, though this one has several of those massive twisty wires connected to the top. The sound grows in pitch and intensity, though Terra is earlier in the cycle then she had been last time by the sound.

A scowl pulls at Terra's face as the room is almost the same. With the sounds not being as extreme, she sets the hammer down, instead draws the stone sword out. She wasn't too sure on how sharp it was, never having used it. However she had an idea, thumb rubbing along the edge of the blade to determine that. It wasn't the sharpest, but maybe she could make it work. She approaches the twisty wires with caution and purpose in her step. Smartest idea? Probably not.

Severing the twisty wires kills the noise from the chamber. The two massive cables ooze some kind of blue gel with a silvery bubbly froth through it. It's quiet for a moment, then the cabling rears up on its own accord, projecting claws made of curled gold wire and swiping blindly to and fro in the room with enough force to fold the containment chamber Terra struggled to open.

At first, Terra seemed pretty pleased that she managed to get through the wire, though it had definitely taken some effort to push the stone through. The dying whirr was satisfying, until the cables suddenly came to life. A surprised cry leaving the girl as she scrambled backwards and falling from the pod on her feet.
Terra moves backwards from the center. "Stay back," she states to the others. Her eyes watching the claws, trying to figure out what to do with them swiping about. What the hell is it?! What to do? Think!

After leaving rents in the steel walls, and folding the ascension chamber nearly in half, both cables withdrew down the hallway and off into the furthest recesses of the basement. Through the split in the pod, an egg-shaped dark pink pokemon with a fluffy skirt, and a pink and cream colored bipedal humanoid with frilled ears and striking blue eye. Behind them comes a small grass Pokemon wearing a leafy skirt and has two flowers on its head. The last doesn't carry the same helpful cheery demeanor as the others. A limbless female appearing-Pokemon with a dress like body, a sharply steepled hat, black eyes with white pupils, and a viciously sharp expression.
It seems particularly fixated on Thomas, but breathes heavily and eyes the group of humans, and the injured Pokemon behind them with contempt.

The retreating claws did not ease Terra's caution or do anything to lower her heartbeat. Sword grasped tightly in hand just in case. Until she's sure that they weren't coming back soon.
Her attentions turn towards the pokemon exiting the pod. These all seemed to be a vast variety of experiment subjects even within the same contraption. "Any of you seriously injured?" she asks the first two. Though its not long before the odd one out's expression is noticed. An eyebrow raising some she watches the pokemon.
"What's with this one?" she mutters more to herself, hand taking her pokedex and pointing it at the limbless pokemon. Maybe the device could give her some insight on why this one was so moody looking.

Stag gives a thumbs up, Ruin moves into the hall after the retreating wiring. Terra's Pokedex dings sharply and begins to vocally rattle off information.
"Hatterene, The Silent Pokemon, This Pokémon can read the emotions of creatures over 30 miles away. The minute it senses hostility, it goes on the attack. It dislikes loud noises and strong emotions. It is sometimes referred to as the Forest Witch or Raging Goddess. Hatterene is a Psychic and Fairy type."
The frilly eared Pokemon, as well as the egg bearing one move to comfort and calm Thomas.

"Ruin! Don't run off without us!" Terra calls after the other, concerned frustration showing at the recklessness that he was acting on.
The pokedex's entry on the perturbed looking figure definitely made sense in that case. There were a lot of emotions currently, from the whole group, herself included. That does not ease any of her own feelings either.
"Alright, we need to catch up with Ruin, before he gets in too deep on his own," Terra states her gaze moving over to Thomas before speaking again, noting that the other two had been attracted and were currently in the act of comforting.
"You still able to keep going down?" This was a lot for anyone to take in, and he hadn't seemed too sure to begin with. "Anyone else if you don't want to go down, you can head up to try and escape with our other group," she adds for their new additions. There was a unsettling sensation in the pit of her gut, that things were going to be worse the further they went.

Thomas and Hatterene have an intense stare down which ends in her turning her face away and squinting at him. "I'm coming.". Thomas declares resolutely, the soft pink things by his side reluctantly joined by the angry tall one. The large rabbit from before shrugs helplessly. The frog considers it's bandaged hands and starts into the hallway behind Stag.
There is a brief roar, then the power dies. The sounds of something sharp cleaving through metal, wet splatters and a distant shrieking, and Terra has pinpointed Ruin. More corpses, these no longer appearing human.
The limbs are wrong, boneless and laying at odd angles, the wire-like burns erupt into tufts of gold that look sharp and bristled, having destroyed most of the face. Patches of skin have blackened and taken on a leathery appearance. Thomas hurls. Stag falls silent. Ruin seems pleased with himself.
"Its been eating them. We are making it desperate. These appendages are so far from its body, it is blind. I can cut it's ability to feed. Hehehe...". This pod is covered in paper scripts with foreign markings on it.

It takes a moment or two for Terra to track down the path that Ruin had taken. Though the screams and sounds of electric machines definitely narrowed that down and helped her sort out the way to go.
Finally entering the room, she comes to an abrupt stop. A disturbed expression growing while the vision of these twisted forms were taken in. The longer she watched, the more the disturbed face turned to one of disgust. Absolute disgust at the charred and disfigured bodies at their feet. Everything about them was wrong.
"Eating them?" Terra repeats with raised eyebrows. How did that work? Actually, she probably didn't want to know. A shake of her head to rid the question "nevermind... So, you're saying these are stopping it?" she follows up pointing to the covered pod and strange writings. It could be an idea to use if that were the case.

"The cable-thing, it is using the devices to consume the Pokemon in them. It is getting desperate. The papers are a form of ward, meant to prevent ghosts from moving through objects or structures. My kind will be in here.". He took a step or two back. "The papers burn my skin. If you would please?"

That made much more sense. Her logic was a little clouded by everything. The bodies, the urgency of needing to free the different pods, those damned cables, and the general madness made it tougher to keep everything straight.
"I can take care of that," Terra replies with a nod while stepping up to take Ruin's place. She then begins to rip most of the tags on the pod. "Will they be able to get out without the tags, or do I need to bust this one too?" she follows up glancing to him as she tears another paper off the surface.

"Once the sutras are removed, that should be all they need.". Ruin whispers in a language that makes Terra's skin crawl hearing it. From the chamber exits a behatted purple witch-like spirit, a burning chandelier with a face, a mono-eyed spectre with a maw for a middle, and a stone bearing with it a host of souls. "This will do nicely.". Ruin approved as he addressed the spirits in kind.
Stag strikes one of the wall panels loudly. "We've been bringing members of the hive here for weeks to be Ascended and there isn't even one here!"
