Once the papers are gone, and the ghost types coming free; Terra gives a slight nod at their freedom and looking over Ruin until her attention is pulled away.
The strike and frustrated words has her watch Stag, a slight frown working its way onto her face, brows furrowing. "I can't do anything about those in the past. I can't guarantee those presently either. But we can stop more from suffering in the future," she tells the other. Not the most comforting words that was certain, but she wasn't good at showing sympathy in the typical fashion. "We need to keep on this thing. Keep shutting down these pods and stop this process when we find the main part behind it."

"Yeah... I'm going to tear Maxie's legs off and beat him to death with them when I find him.". Stag grated her teeth.
"If we follow the cables, and cut them when they branch away from the main hall it should save us time. It won't be able to eat when we corner it.". He doesn't seem very excited about the idea of cornering anything.
"It's new.". Ruin looks up from his conversation with the ghosts. "The Pokemon's life energy was all moving to a main containment until a week ago. A bunch of it got spent... And then the feel of this place drastically changed."

Stag's words of how she was going to deal with Maxie seemed to be an appropriate choice of action to Terra, giving a nod in agreement about it. "We'll make sure he pays for everything."
She listened to the idea of cutting it from the pods, it was a good strategy to use that was for certain, then turning her attention to Ruin when he explains that things had changed recently.
"We're going to be stopping this entirely. Right; everyone ready to keep going?" she asks them in a serious tone. They had a better picture of what was happening. Not completely, but more than nothing. A few minutes to go over her own inventory and team in her head of preparation. Slow breaths keeping her grounded in the thinking of how this could go.

There was a collective agreement amongst Terra's gathering, and the assault began in earnest. Along hallways, the cabling was hacked loose every time it was seen. Again and again they violently withdrew into the depths of the facility.
They stopped encountering the wires after a time, only finding gaps where they might have been. Arriving in the last chamber, a mass of thin black rubbery tentacles sprouting claws of copper and gold writhed about underneath an inhuman mass of jutting crystal. Electricity arced beneath the opaque surface, and it released a shrill cry.
The points folded in on themselves, impossible shapes melting and flowing until what vaguely resembled a face manifested.
"You've taken so much from me...". The voice buzzed, arcs of power lancing back and forth between it's lips. "I know hunger."

There was no wasted time now, with the group working together it went so much faster. Until they reached the room that the cables had originated from.
This is what they were hunting down, this mass of wires and cords. She had not seen anything like this thing before. Eyes scanning it over with a sense of disgust and confusion at its composition. Then the make-shift 'face', it was unsettling in a way. A small failure in her composure showed the disturbed reaction to the sight.
"From you? None of it was yours to begin with," Terra states no sign of giving the thing a chance to argue. "You've taking things you have no right to." A hand moves down to her belt as she addresses the creature.

"Nothing that wasn't given first." It hissed and crackled, power arcing between the exposed wires about its body. The monster towers some thirteen feet, with the length of its appendages it might well be longer, but nowhere in this room was safe from its reach.
"The first tastes of Ultra Energy, and I moved beyond humans. Tried, unsuccessfully to help them understand. Then realized they were just prey. Little masses of metals and current for me to take in. Their thoughts, feelings, knowledge. So much delicious electrical activity. The more I hurt them the more they gave me. The Pokemon were no different... But you... Somehow you survived."
Silvered pupils fixated on Terra. "You could go further. Be more. Not consign yourself to an inferior life."

"Given without consent from who matters." Terra's face stays as an upset display while watching the cords amongst the floor and then up to the white folding pieces above her head. Her nose wrinkles as she scowls while this beast speaks of how it came to start consuming energy from both human and pokemon. "You're going to regret that I survived," she commented in a low voice before then tossing out a pair of pokeballs. Releasing a draconic figure with a beam of light. A few clashes of scales knocking together, Clang stands in front of Terra. Arms flexing as he pumps himself up. A growl of readiness to attack. The other releasing a larger lion than what Terra had seen the last time she had been out. Keeping some distance between the three of them. Remembering her battle with the Magma female. "You both ready up," she instructs the two. "Back me up," she adds before taking lead. The girl begins with a fist slammed into the flooring before her. Earth shifting beneath the tile and metal as it rushes towards the cords main mass! Her pokemon both do as instructed preparing for their next turns by focusing their strengths. Terra uses Earth Power! Lilly uses Work Up. Clang uses Dragon Dance. Earth Power- AC 13 vs. 2+eva Type: Ground Special Range: 6, 1 Target Damage: 24 + 5 if super effective.
Speeds: Terra- 10 Lilly- 21 Clang- Starts at 13, then boosts to 15 after D-Dance.

Terra's unlikely allies fanned out and the assault began in earnest. Raw electrical power laddered from the creature along the walls and floor, raising hair on end, the air in the room smelling more and more of ozone.
Terra's attack catches it off guard, but immediately following that, it lifts free of the ground, a flying mass of tentacles, several of which drive themselves into the floor, blocking the exit.
The Terrain is now Electric Terrain. Xurkitree is now under the effect of Magnet Rise. Xurkitree is now under the effect of Plus. Xurkitree is now under the effect of Minus. Xurkitree is now under the effect of Volt Absorb. Xurkitree is now under the effect of Sequence. Xurkitree is now under the effect of Static (Unlimited). Xurkitree breaks the mold.
[Assist] Your teammates can be called upon for aid in this time of need up to three times. For each call for help, one of the squads is removed from your list to chose from, they have to make a sacrifice play to protect the team doing more than defending itself. Your assist actions are as follows;
Thomas [Support] - Replaces Terrain with Psychic Terrain. Attacks boss with Gravity. Applies Reflect or Light Screen. Heals one Ally 50%.
Ruin [Disabler] - Steals one ability and replaces it with Wandering Curse. Disables one move. Applies Burn and Poison.
Stag [Damage] - Shaves two health bars off of the boss.

The tingles traveling across her body had Terra's eyes wide and focused on this new challenge. This was a definite huge step up compared to what she had faced so far. That wouldn't stop her though from fighting. Lilly's fur stands up as the static from the air touches her, a slow growl forming at the sensation. Clang stands more alert as he flexes his muscles preparing for the fight. "That won't keep you safe," Terra shakes her head. "Clang, go in this time. Lilly blast it." She gets ready to move after her pokemon go first. The lioness opens her mouth and a flow of fire at the now floating wire mass with a roar, spreading it wide. Clang following up by charging forward and getting in close with a jump, claws attempting to rip at the cords. To add to the assault the girl broke part of the floor with her foot before sending it at their opponent. Rolls: Lilly - Flamethrower 2+2 vs 2 AC EoT Range 4, 1 Target Damage: 57 Fire
Clang - Dragon Claw 18+2 vs 2AC At-Will Damage: 56 Dragon
Terra - Rock Tomb 16 vs 2AC At-Will Range- 6, 1 Target Damage: 26 Rock

The writhing mass of unknowable depth parts for the blast of fire, but the stone manages to connect with the monstrosity's head, and Clang's claws bite deep.
Clang is afflicted with Static and is Paralyzed. Clang takes 81 Electric Special. Xurkitree's special attack increases one stage. Xurkitree activates Plus to increase it's special attack an additional stage.

"You have this Clang, stay steady." Terra tells the Dragon in an encouraging and confident tone. Clang growls out however he does nod with his own confidence about him even after taking the hit. "Try again, and keep up the assault on it since you're in its space!" she states with a serious voice. The trainer this time takes a deep breath in and letting it out as she tenses her arms preparing for her next chance to attack. Her pokemon then go in for another use of moves. A different intensity of flame bursting forth from Lilly. Whilst Clang had nowhere to go, so he instead doubles down on his ripping with claws. A determination within his glare. Moves:
Terra uses Work Up
Lilly uses Incinerate 17+2 vs 2AC - At-Will Line 3 Damage 46 Fire Special If a target is holding a Held Item or Main or Off-Hand item, they must either drop it immediately or lose a Tick of Hit Points. This may only cause a target to lose at most one Tick of Hit Points, no matter how many items they were holding
Clang uses Dragon Claw again 11+2 vs 2 AC At-Will Damage 50 Dragon Physical

Clang managed to finish hewing through the cable he'd had a hold of, forcing another shrill scream out of the creature. It again fires a blue and yellow beam of power against Clang for 84 Electric Special, and two Special Attack stages for the second use of Plus.
-Xurkitree takes a stagger.

"Good work you two. You're doing great," Terra tells them while preparing for her own attack. Clang looked a bit worn, however he wasn't ready to tag out yet, standing as tall as he could. "Lily, try that first move again! Clang, you can give it one more go with your tail!" The instructions come in a loud calm command. Things were definitely unsettling with the sensations. Though she could handle that for the time being. This time Lilly's flames come out with much more focus on its precision. Clang's change in tactics did not seem to go nearly as well. This seemed to have thrown Terra a bit off her own aim in seeing the whiff of the strike after the solid hits previously landed. Moves Lilly uses Flamethrower 17+2 vs 2 AC EoT Damage: 40 Fire Special
Clang uses Dragon Tail 1+2 vs 3 AC (What a Miss!) 47 Dragon Physical
Terra uses Rock Tomb 2+2 vs 3 AC 27 Rock Physical

Lilly lights the creature up, even as both Terra and Clang fail to find purchase. The Xurkitree forces its cables into the walls and floor, drawing strength from the surroundings (Ingrained). Poising the remaining tendrils around Clang, beams of multicolored light assail the dragon from multiple directions for 78 Bug Special, and Confusion.

There's a curse uttered from Terra's lips in a sharp tone as she misses with her own attack. The annoyance swaps to alertness seeing the pokemon go for Clang again. "Not again, Protect yourself!" her voice holding an urgency. The dragon pokemon's face held his own surprise at his failure to strike the cables, then blinking as he registers the order. Arms crossing in front of himself, a barrier forming to block the damage meant for him. "You're out Clang, come back. Lilly hit it again!" Terra states, ball being thrust forward to swap out the injured one. Then tossing another ball to take his place once the red beam disappeared. She didn't have a lot of time to try and think of the best strategy of how to approach this fight. Secondary red beam releasing the rocky bug into the fray, but a distance away from the Xurkitree for now. He looks about the battle scene with a bit of unsure concern but brings his focus in after hearing his trainer's voice tell him to get ready. Lilly giving off another burst of flames forward, staying just within range to hit her target. Rolls Lilly uses Incinerate 10+2 vs 2 AC Line 3 45 Fire Special Damage If a target is holding a Held Item or Main or Off-Hand item, they must either drop it immediately or lose a Tick of Hit Points. This may only cause a target to lose at most one Tick of Hit Points, no matter how many items they were holding

Xurkitree begins drawing in tremendous amounts of power. (Charge, Ingrain heals one tick, +1 SpDef increase). It releases a thunderbolt at Lily with such force it melts the floor where it strikes, thankfully she avoided the attack.

The strike of lightning scars the floor where Lily had stood. Narrowly dodging it with a well timed jump, looking a bit startled at the damaged place where she had stood. "Good work Lily, stay on it. Don't let it get a break."
Terra is not happy with watching as pokemon drew in energy and continued to boost. Scowl forming at its strategy. "Okay Snips. Ready, Rock them!"
The bug would tap its claws against the ground before causing the ceiling to crumble some above the bunch of cords. While his trainer takes another chance to try and weaken their opponent. Rocks being sent in a second wave. They were holding up okay overall. She wasn't ready to have her allies rush this thing. Rolls! Lily uses Flamethrower! 19+2 vs 2 AC 50 Fire Special Flamethrower Burns the target on 19+.
Snips uses Rock Slide! 19+1 vs 4 AC 54 Rock Physical Rock Slide Flinches all legal targets on 17+.
Terra uses Rock Tomb! 5 vs 3 AC 29 Rock Physical

The creature releases a second shrill scream, its 'head' convulsing and forming odd shapes hard to look at, as though it were infinitely folding onto itself. The tips of every wire light, and it gives Thomas its full attention for the briefest of instances. The room fills with yellow light, the boy and the friends he had made along the way bringing the strongest shield they could to beat, but it was not enough. When the light faded, a follow-up blast flared, the beam threatening to consume Lily (186 Electric Special and Paralyze. Thomas is no longer accessible as a support.)

Crap, crap, crap! Terra shifts her attention from the pokemon to the targets of its attack. "Dammit," she growls out, sticking an arm up in air, , handle of the hammer upwards, though that didn't do what she had wanted. The lightning still came down upon the lioness. She couldn't save Thomas and his allies from the attack or even her own pokemon. A pained roar fills the room as Lilly is struck full force with the attack, falling to the floor unconscious, muscles spasming from the current that had filled her form. "Sorry Lilly... Knock that thing down Snips!" Terra orders fiercely with a point of her hand. The creature taking out part of her group was not going to be allowed to go unpunished. Snips hears this command, blinking before making a soft sound, lifting up parts of the floor with its claws and thrusting it forward to hopefully catch the beast and bring it back down to earth where it belongs. "Ruin, hit it good for me!" Terra calls out while she watches it with an intense gaze. More serious about this conflict than she had previously showed. Terra then takes her turn after the group supports her, its now on her turf once again. Where she can use her better suited moves. Swinging the hammer down into the ground, the floor rumbles and breaks, tile splintering up at the cables from below. Rolls! This post is going on the hope that a 12+1 vs AC 2 from Smack Down hits (considering Vulnerable from Flinched). If not I will rewrite Terra's decisions of attack/Assist.
Lilly KO'd, 5 injures -66HP
Snips uses Smack Down! 12+1 vs 2AC 44 Rock Physical The target is knocked down to ground level, and loses all Sky or Levitate Speeds for 3 turns. During this time, they may be hit by Ground-Type Moves even if normally immune.
If Smack Down works, Terra has Ruin use his Assist before she tries to attack.
Terra uses Earth Power! 7 vs 2AC 22 Ground Special +5 after SPE damage calculated.

"With great pleasure!". Ruins eyes blaze hotly and he addresses the spectres with him in that speech that unsettles, an air of malice that builds and overtakes that of the monstrosity they now fight. Claws of darkness so deep that even the light Xurkitree sheds doesn't permeate them. Ruin towers, clouds of reddish light and loose specters billowing free as he seizes the creature, toothy maw parting to vomit arcane sigils and purple fire over the creature.
With a spine chilling laugh, Ruins claws dug into thrashing wires and the screaming, warping shape of Xurkitree's head and began to draw backwards into nothing, feet at a time, forcing it to retaliate with everything it has... The hole in space collapses on itself, taking several of the cables with it.
In the quiet aftermath... The otherworldly quality about Xurkitree is gone. Its head is static though still glows. Every part of it now visible within the space it occupies. "....Not going to lie, kind of see why they had him strapped to a bed.". Stag mentions in nervous humor.
