There is a nod of understanding about the sameness in humans' appearances. "Aren't wrong about that." Then a slight face of sympathy when the mention of the other's siblings being captured.
Terra takes one more moment to take in her breath, leaving the hammer on the floor away from the mat that they were facing off on. Not making a comment on the mention of 'colony', it wasn't something that she really knew. Breath let out before making the first move. A dip downward, to take her from a lower angle. Terra gets her arms around the larger girl's middle, but finds her stance appreciably firm, Stag wedges her arms under Terra's to break the hold and locks hands with her, broad shoulders shaking with the effort as she tries to push the smaller girl into a kneeling posture.
"What's your deal anyway? Why would you chose humans as a whole over your own kind? If they even gave you a choice.". Her expression is one of surprise as Terra holds her position and begins to push back in earnest, it quickly gives way to a pleased grin. "Maxie is making enough of us that we'll be our own people, and we can keep to ourselves."

There was a moment of slight panic when the taller got Terra in a secured hold and began pushing down. Eyes widening, before refocusing into holding her ground, knees refusing to fold at the pressure.
"I wouldn't say I would choose them over our own." Terra looks upwards. She pauses, contemplating on whether to tell Stag this or not, but she continues. "Maxie's people took me from my home. And when I tried to chew through the bars, they would turn the hose on me. Then when some of us were saved, I wasn't in the first set saved, but the second comb over I was taken out of here." Terra tells her while keeping her struggle up. "Those that got me out of here, they didn't put me in another cage, didn't drown, or even hurt me. Gave me clothes and food. Its not the same as being what I once was. But I've adapted. And have discovered lots of things with not only others like us. But also humans who were nice," she states. Revealing that not only that she wasn't a 'newbie' but had been out in the world. "Makes it hard to consider staying here. Where's there's so much bad past."

Terra slips Stags hands and throws her arms around the other girl's waist, heaving her back into it and performing an impressive drop onto the mats before rolling into position to attempt a pin. Stag is visibly sweating but clearly having a good time, and puts up quite a fight until Terra secures the hold. After the first tap out, the big girl lays there, chest heaving. A small laugh escapes her.
"Wasn't really the same for us. Yeah, it was Maxie's bunch that came in the end, but it was always someone. See, there's this really nice spot a bit north of Goldenrod, and the national park. Perfect temperature, the air is always a little humid, plenty of greenery and cover. It was our spot for a long, long, long time. We're talking generations. Then the humans found it. Once a week they'd gather up a few dozen of us and herd us off to the park for some stupid contest to see who could capture the largest bug 'mon."
Sitting up, she rose to her feet and took a deep breath. "Maxie changed that for us. We aren't going to be picked apart by all comers anymore... but then, we can't really go home either. It's... a lot to think about, and I try not to think too much. You won the last round, so you get aggressor on this one. Nice pin by the way, giving my record a run for it."

There's an audible grunt as Terra finds her footing, and recovers from the grab, to then take control. A surprised yet confident 'ah!' escaped her once they hit the floor. This was quite the change from what she's used to, but that wasn't a bad thing. Only letting go once she noticed the tap out.
Proud grin pulling at her lips, Terra sits for a few seconds watching as Stag laughs for a short moment. She listened to the taller as she explained how things had gone for her group of experiments. A slight frown coming to her face. "They invaded your territory, and continued to do so for entertainment," she states. A visible annoyance in her expression.
"Its, angering, to have territory invaded and not be able to call it home anymore," Terra states, her tone still holding the bitterness at that thought. "But... There can always be another territory made." Hands pushing herself up to join the other. "Okay then. Thanks, that was fun so far," she adds. Before taking up her posture again to start their second match.

Stag too, takes up her position, and gives Terra a disappointed look. "Maybe if we were few, but there are hundreds if not more. Ranging from the smallest Weedle to the most hulking Golisopod. There is nowhere that many could go and not be found or followed. Even with the losses, our numbers are endless. Brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, mothers and fathers." She tossed her head and took up a defensive stance. "The family are ours as much as the territory, a responsibility and a belonging both. It's the stink of failure that hurts the most." She let out a chuff as their next round began.

Stag can see that her words seem to have Terra thinking on her words. "I have to admit, I'm not too used to the thought of such a large family," she replies. Adding afterwards "For the longest I was used to it just being me pretty much."
"Failure does cut deep, I know that well," Terra tells her with a slight crinkle of her nose at thinking of some of her past struggles. Though that doesn't last too much longer as she brings her focus back to their tussle. A forward push off the mat, again dipping low, her arms wrapping about the other's waist. Another smirk pulling at her lips as she gets a tight hold of her opponent.

Hooking her leg behind Stag's, Terra twisted and again floored the larger girl. There was some intense ground fighting, but ultimately the Larvitar is victorious. It seems to be a sombering experience, and when she sits up, she doesn't immediately speak.
"Okay... You might be tempted to take the ventilation, waste disposal, or other sneaky routes out. Avoid those. Every time someone tries one, succeeds or fails, they put new measures in. Acting like you belong, and then when you are close to the entrance, make a push. Whatever happens, thanks for this. I had a lot of fun."

With the second pin going a bit quicker, Terra doesn't rush the other to speak once released, instead taking a seat to catch her own breath. Now that it was over, she showed that it had been a challenge for herself to handle. A hand moving to brush the sweat from her brow.
Stag can see that Terra listens with full attention, eyes watching her intensely. "It was," Terra agrees nodding with a small smile, not a competitive one like when they were wrestling. There is a pause as she considers things. "If you change your mind, about this place. And choose to leave, I'd love to meet up. Maybe go another few rounds?" she suggests an offer. She wasn't too sure on about her ability to 'convince' someone with such strong loyalty values to leave. Its hard to change or go against what you know, she was well aware of that, considering her own nature.

"Probably won't have a choice with how this plays out unless it goes well.". Stag shrugged and made for the door. "The colony's loyalty is to itself first. I'll get the chance to make my case.". Pulling the door open, she has to take a step or two back as a myriad of new faces shuffled into the room flanked by Ruin and Maven.
"Uhhh..."
There was a moment of tense uncertainty, at least three sets of eyes on Terra.

This comment makes Terra feel a bit uncomfortable, though she doesn't vocalize this. Instead following Stag's lead. Up until they both had to back up to avoid being stepped on.
The eyes on her, had the girl glancing between them for a moment. "Nobody do anything sudden. Understand?" She shifts her tone to one of seriousness to take control of the situation. She didn't need any of them trying to fight each other. "Who are these?" she asks Maven and Ruin, motioning to the new faces. Were these escapees or were they captives? That's what she wondered.

"We dipped after you met up with this one.". Maven gestures to Stag. "Since she was talking with others in their room, and seemed willing to help if you could handle yourself, we poked around the other rooms in this block. Fair few people that are looking to go. Might want to hear this, too."
She gently nudged a smallish girl forward with a wide eyed, unblinking stare, wearing a pair of earmuffs. The expression differed from Ruins, in that the newcomer's expression denoted complete shock instead of the latter's malice.
"They unravel the Pokemon, take them apart into their soulstuff. Learning how much it takes. How much each provides. Discarding the failures...". He stared at the floor.

For the moment, no one was attacking each other, which was good. So Terra listened to what the other two had done while she had been busy with her new, friend? A nod coming from her as Maven states that these were ones who wanted to get out.
The new girl will have red eyes moving to focus on her, waiting and observing her with a careful gaze. Eyes narrowing some as she hears the smaller speak, trying to make sense of them. The words were not direct to the point. It was taking her a little bit, but she was putting it together. Right hand tightening into a fist at her side at the same time.

"Whoa, whoa... Hold up...". Stag looks dizzy, possibly bewildered. "This whole push to make us stronger, smarter? They're just..."
"Filling a vessel with the raw essence of creation.". Maven finished, watching the other girl intensely. "Mostly bugs from a place to the north of the national park, by the sounds of it."
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!". Stag exploded, batting the smaller Ascended out of her way as she bulldozed towards Maven.

That was a disgusting thing to learn, a scowl pulling at Terra's face as she lets the word vessel set in her mind. That did make sense in a way. Now that it was said aloud.
"Hey. Hey!" Terra demands Stag's attention, while slipping around the bulkier form. "Hitting them won't do anything." Planting herself between the two, being a divider and guard. "You said that your Colony stayed together right? When Maxie brought you here, were there others, that you didn't see again afterwards?" Terra questions seriously, making eye contact with the other.

Stag's chest heaved, and she gripped her left forearm with her right hand and squeezed. "Yeah. We've been told a lot of things about that. They got away, their changes are taking longer than others, they didn't survive the transition.". She set her jaw, stare boring holes into the floor, and then the wide-eyed boy.
"Where did you see it?" "I-I saw it... In the sub basement. They wanted to see... What happens when they add more...". He shivered. "More what?!" "If they added more to a human! Like they are to us!"

Terra grimaced some at the reaction that came from Stag, she couldn't try to imagine dealing with this sort of news. It was vile what Maxie had done with not only changing them, but the sacrificing and lying to one that had such a deep bond to others. So much disturbing information to process all at once.
Then when the wide-eyed added this, how they were experimenting. Terra was shocked. What was wrong with these people? "This can't be allowed to keep going," she stated seriously while feeling a bit sick at all of this.

Stag put her arms around herself, breath coming in labored heaves, arms tightening, defining her musculature. She stormed to where her armguards lay, and put them back on. "I'm going to go see for myself."
"I'd rather leave if it's the same to everyone else.". Maven speaks up, and the large majority of the assembled gather near her.
The stark-eyed boy and Ruin approach Terra and Stag. "Hither and yon until this kingdom burns and it's throne lay empty I will not rest.". "I... I want to help too."

This wasn't the easiest to watch, however she also knew that her own pitiable attempts of 'comfort' were not likely to help. "Then I'll go with you. Better than on your own," Terra replies as she moves to pick up the hammer and her bag of things. The actions of preparing herself to join the other.
At Maven's words, she looks over. "Understandable. Can you handle it on your own?" she asks to be sure. "Just remember to be careful, and prepared for a fight," she adds seeing the others gather around her. "There should hopefully be someone on their way back to help shut this down. A guy named Jeremiah. Might have backup," Terra explains.
There's a moment where she looks over the soft-spoken boy, a slight uncertain expression. "You going to be able to handle yourself?" she adds her attention on the smaller.

"There's enough of us that are battle capable that we aren't completely helpless, with Stag's family not between us and the exit we should be alright.". Maven replies, considering the door over her shoulder.
"I could talk to them... They will want to know for sure too... But the hallways are tight.". Stag folded her arms across her chest and closed her eyes. "Even if we all wanted to go, we couldn't."
"I've never been in a fight before, but I want to help.". The boy admitted, unable to hold Terra's eyes.
