Hum de dum. Hipparchia takes the blow on the chin truck, concentrating to undo the worst of the wounds. Then something unseen slams into the Charmeleon.

The Wartortle is zapped, but then replaced by a second one, who continues where the first left off! The Future sight nearly one-shots the fire type, but it's still up. Both fire back! Save: XKWaCSbN1d20

"*Gasp!* Another turtle? Were they allowed to do that? Stella peered into the suspicious mist wondering what else it could hide. Hmph.
Deimos flailed around as he was somehow on fire from being soaked in water. That was another thing the orange haired girl just didn't quite grasp. Regardless! The electric sheep felt he as much better at dealing with turtles then lizards, even while on fire, so have an Electro Ball!

*Boink* Deimos falls over and Stella recalls him. She gives the wartotle a hesitant glance - was she supposed to send out a new pokémon as well? Though she didn't have another Flaaffy - so it would have to be something else ...

Ow. Hipparchia is just... going to take a nap now. Yeah. She drifts drowsily towards the ground, puffing out pink smoke and dreaming of REVENGE. As it becomes clear she's out, Melissa recalls her and sends out Ribaldequin, who surveys the scene in an instant and hurls an energy blast at the Wartortle.
Using Dream Smoke as a reaction to being hit - Charmeleon falls asleep. Then using Future Sight and succumbing to burn damage. Ribaldequin's initiative is 20, higher than anyone else, so he gets to go first next round as well! Aura Sphere vs Wartortle. Crit? dbo0xV1H1d20 3d8+44 Special Fighting-type damage1d20·3d8+44

The one grass attack is enough to fell the wartortle, and the dream smoke causes the Charmeleon to fall asleep, only to then be hit by a redirected fighting energy blast... which causes it to stay unconscious, now for longer!
(120 poke xp)
After the fight is over, the steam clears, and the science duo finds another radio source box. But there's something hanging off of it on a keychain. Looks like a card with two pokemon battling on it. Flipping it over, it says that only one card is needed to unlock the 'secret exit' out of the station. But the more cards you get, the easier the end fight will be, and finding them all gets you a special 'prize' from the leader!

"An easier fight? Pah! Why would we want that? Although... a special prize, hmm? Intriguing. Yes, that sounds worth the effort... besides which, it would be poor manners to neglect the gym's challenges! Yes, orange girl, I think it would be best if we sought out all these cards."
Melissa glances around the room, trying to spot any sign of another exit through the steam. Secret passage? Rickety minecart? Steam-powered escalator?

Well the steam had dissapated, but there seems to be no way out of this room save for the way they came in.

Special price? *Nod!* That sounded excellent!
While science lady surveyed the room Stella flipped up her dex and turned on the radio, just to see if there were anything new on it. Otherwise they'd have to head back and catch up with the others somehow?

So... Where they supposed to take the card with them? But what about the next people to come along? Or did the steam duo replace those too? Hmm. The Orange Haired Girl leaned in to take a closer look at the card and the keychain. Maybe it'd come off easily? Or if it was bolted to the floor that'd also be a message of sorts.

The card's chain is hanging freely, easy to grab off of the machine. So it seems that yes, you take it with you.

"Hmf. Very well, let's go see if our bumbling companions have managed to find any of the other cards yet. If not, I'm sure we'll make short work of it!"

*Nod* Stella reaches out to take the card then holds it up for science lady to see. Finally she stuffs it into her hoodie pocket and turns around to leave. To the other cards/friends!

As you enter the challenge room, the walls shimmer brightly, and five doors open up, revealing five Greninja! They all take the field, ready to fight you as you figure out which is the 'real' one and KO it! Target: Geninja 4. 5 is the untrained, 1 is the Zoroark, 2 is the ditto copying the target, 3 is the ditto copying the untrained one. Inits: 4 and 5: 23 2: 21 1 and 3: 20

Oh no! A puzzle. Darn it. Such trickery would require boldness to defeat! She wiped away a bead of sweat from her forehead. Enyo could certainly sniff the imposter out, but Stella couldn't expose him to this much water! So the other approach to puzzles then: violence!!

While the attack hits pretty hard, it's not 'quite' as much as Stella hopes. Uh oh.
