Skye pouts. "I'm not that clumsy...Besides, I'm only 30% human now!" She says indignantly. "I'll show you!" She says, slowly floating down a bit so that her feet are touching the surface of the water but not going into it.

Surskit doesn't understand the number correlation, but humans can't fly without either the aid of Pokemon or their large, metal contraptions, so it's whatever. It merely keeps skating circles around Skye. Right up until she falls in again, at which point it openly laughs at her 'clumsiness'.

It makes a show of easily gliding around the surface of the water like it's nothing. It says that 'it just does'. All Surskit can do this, and it has yet to see any other Pokemon be able to do this.

Surskit twirls rapidly before leaping into the air and landing atop the surface of the water with a flourish. Okay, now it's just showing off. It's hard to tell with Surskit, but Skye swears it looks smug after that stunt.

Surskit is pleased that it has impressed. Not that impressing clumsy humans is difficult, it has found. Humans are like baby Pokemon: easily entertained.

Well, this pond's size is pretty nice. Surskit isn't a large bug, after all. It doesn't need a lot of space. When it evolves, it won't even be able to skate anymore, as it will be flying.

It takes some time, but Skye is eventually able to convince Surskit to join her.
Surskit is Male, level 3, Gentle, with Danger Syrup.

Thoroughly soaked from multiple dips in the pond, Skye heads back to enjoy a nice hot bath. She returns the next day to go fishing again.

Skye goes fishing yet again on a brand new day, and what she pulls up is probably the last thing she expected short of a dragon. It's the literal ugliest fish she has ever seen. At least Magikarp, for all their evilness, look halfway decent. This poor thing looks like it got beat to death with the ugly stick and then brought back to life to be beaten with it some more.

Skye shrugs her shoulders and boops it with a Pokeball. Who knows? It might turn into something worthwhile when it evolves like Magikarp does.

It takes a long time. Vulpix are particularly coveted among Fire-Types for their beauty. Eventually though, Skye does encounter one. It stares her down from afar.
