Spikes everywhere! It would be very annoying, if Epsilon planned to ever move. Luckily, all his targets are in range and directly in front of him. He sights in on the Venomoth and blasts it again, this time using ice. Omicron is... well, guess.

Garbodor is finished off, if only just, and Scolipede makes its return right next to Omicron. Venomoth zips away from Octillery to try and force it to move through spikes to get in range again. It then sends a massive wave of psychic energy at the creature.

Omicron takes the first hit from the bug without flinching, but the second proves too much; it collapses. Meanwhile, Epsilon is nearly blown away by the sheer power blasting out of the Venomoth. He clings to consciousness, stubbornly dragging himself over the poisoned spikes to fire again.
Mayu's final Pokemon is, of course, Alpha, who starts the fight off with a flurry of bone-crushing punches aimed at the moth.
Activating Pain Resistance for Epsilon, for DR 33. Epsilon moves over Toxic Spikes and is now Badly Poisoned.

Venomoth nimbly evades each and every strike that Alpha throws at it, then returns fire with a surprisingly effective bug-type attack. Scolipede rushes the wounded and poisoned Octillery, slamming it with a venomous tail barb.

Improbably enough, the Octillery actually manages to evade Scolipede's attack, oozing backwards and aiming another beam of psychic energy towards Venomoth. Alpha tries again, this time putting everything behind a single focused punch.

It is not, in fact, enough. Lucario catches the psychic blast on his forearms, casually bats aside the tail from behind, and then tries to land one last punch. Probably his last punch.

Alas, Venomoth is simply too nimble to hit. It once more evades Alpha's attack and strikes back with that nasty bug beam. Scolipede tries to bite Alpha. It won't hurt as much as Venomoth's attacks, naturally, but it's something.

Wandering through the Safari Zone for awhile eventually produces some interesting results. Mayu spots a Shelgon! It doesn't seem aggressive, so she is not allowed to attack it at this time.
