Totodile tanked the arrow to the face with no particular reaction and... well. For starters, did it have to walk over there to spit water in Emiko's face?

Ouch. Very true. Especially since being confused meant Totodile couldn't dodge or defend.

Emiko survives. Barely. She counts it as a win. That Totodile was far more resilient than she feels it had any right to be.
Gene earns 8 Poke XP, 0.5 Misc XP, and loses 10% of her on-hand cash. She awakens several hours later in the Viridian Pokemon Center. Aside from the cash, nothing is missing.

Gene awakens and okay. It's the middle of the night (or almost) but so what? She goes out for one last round of Pokemon encountering!
