Thanks to Nurse May, Victoria is brought back up to consciousness, and man she feels really beat up. But they gotta be almost there.
"Alright folks, I think we are getting close. If we find it, stay back out of the way. I don't want a stray beam or glare hit either of you. Just... leave it to me, cause I have no idea how the amulet works."

May quickly patches Victoria back up after the last of the Throh goes down. After that, it's a quick swim/flight out into the eerie portal hovering over the water in the bottom-most level of Union Cave's Dungeon. If that's not a way into the Boss Room, Vicky doesn't know what it is. That weird serpent thing is indeed inside though, and hisses in warning. It coils itself up and glares balefully at Vicky & Co. The moment they do anything other than turn around and head right back out, it slams its tail into the ground; probably summoning minions...

She gingerly picks the ball up. Worked on the first attempt! She was right to trust Miyako. She turns and calls out to May and Whitney.
"Oooooh ladies! The great beast has been defeated! You can come out now!"

The two ladies in question peer out from their cover behind a large rock in the Boss Room. They see Victoria triumphantly holding up the special Poke Ball, and the basilisk is nowhere to be seen, so they come out. After some congratulations are offered, the group heads back through the portal and over to where the nearest 'statue' they found was. In its place is a living, breathing person! They're unconscious, but alive and (seemingly) stable. The same is true for every other person-statue they came across. Between Whitney, Victoria, and their Pokemon, they are able to carry all the people outside and off to Azalea Town (which is closer than Violet City). From there, they are shipped off to a hospital since the local Pokemon Center can't treat all of them, and isn't equipped for possible long-term patients.

After a lot of fighting (including getting herself involved), and then carrying all the now-cured people outside and getting them to help... Vicky is tired. She really wanted to get the big snake to Aima and Miyako, but that'll have to wait. For now, Vicky is heading back for rest.
The next morning, Vicky and her throple are heading north to go talk to the sisters and let them know their combined work paid off!

Hm. Well, throples aside, the siblings are indeed waiting for her when she returns to Ecruteak. They are also quite surprised that the ball worked. Miyako was almost certain it would fail. Huh. In any case, she'll take it back now for safekeeping while she attempts to engineer one that is more likely to stand the test of time. She has gotten in touch with this girl by the name of Maizie, who is apparently an expert Poke Ball smith from Azalea Town. Together, they ought to be able to put something together that will work.
Aima thinks it's nice that her sister found someone as passionate about crafting things as she is, even if their works vary. She is also quite glad to see Victoria back safe and sound.

Victoria's a bit thankful with the scary creature in the possibly unstable ball being taken away from her for now.
"You both will also be happy to know that the second I captured it, it's petrification wore off, and all the 'victims' are alive! We've gotten them sent to a hospital to get them back to health but... nobody died, thankfully."

Both women are relieved to hear that is the case, though Aima is concerned about how they may have gotten in there in the first place. That's not Victoria's problem though, she'll work with Gym Leader Bugsy to flush out any remaining Malice in the Alternate Union Cave while they try to piece together how those poor people got trapped in the first place. Aima already has a few theories, such as this 'Alternate' having been filled with people when it broke off from whatever reality it originated from. It's quite a stretch, but it's the most interesting (if disturbing) theory she has.

"That 'could' be it. Dragged away when it was made or something... But I guess it's not the biggest deal now. Could even be a blessing in disguise cause who knows how long they might have lasted if they didn't turn to stone. Until they wake up we won't know if it was days from me getting in there... or weeks... maybe years? So being 'perserved' that way maybe saved them from starvation and isolation."
She shrugs.
"I just am trying to see the bright side of this I suppose. It's too late to change and we just gotta hope that everyone can get back to some semblance of normal. I'm just happy to have helped."

Aima nods in agreement. She's eager to learn what, if anything, these poor people can tell her. Just as soon as they're up to it, of course. Their main priority is the health of these people, after all, and surely they'll be questioned by League officials at some point as well. As Aima is their main authority on "Alternate Spaces" or whatever they're calling them these days, she will likely be clued in at some point. If Victoria wants, Aima will happily share what she can when the time comes. In any case, she's glad that the Ball Miyako created worked.

Aima nods and seems as if she is about to continue the conversation when the door to the room bursts open and a brunette woman charges through to tackle-hug Miyako, who looks surprisingly like a Deerling in headlights. The brunette begins to babble semi-incoherently at Miyako, who is half-heartedly attempting to pry her attacker off. Aima giggles softly at this and shoots Victoria a knowing look.

For a second, Vicky is confused, but then realization hits her, and Aima's look confirms it. She tries (and fails) to conceal a chesire grin creeping across her face. She turns back to Aima.
"Alright, so I'll be back in a couple of days then. We'll go, give those two a bit of time."
She winks and goes to leave.

Aima shares a smirk with Victoria and waves goodbye while continuing to enjoy the antics of her soon-to-be sister in-law. Miyako has apparently resigned herself to her fate of being Chie's cuddle buddy/girlfriend, as it's clear Chie isn't letting go of her (both figuratively and literally) any time soon.

They walk back, and now that Union Cave business is all done with a very hopeful ending, it's back to her previous goal. As they get back, she flops on the couch.
"Alright. Scary Evil Basilisk thing is now taken care of, people are saved. The world's savior Victoria is still a little sore from yesterday but oh well. Now I guess the only thing is to go 'bug' Clair again."

The goodra hybrid girl nods emphatically. "Why yes, Whitney, I believe I do. It is time to 'take care' of our lovely lady's needs."
The two immediately kidnap Victoria off to the bedroom for some 'relaxation therapy'.
