Whitney nods along as always. "Right, right. I totally get it. It just feels weird if you get a badge without actually winning the fight, y'know?" She shudders a bit. "Gives me the heebie jeebies! That's why I always make sure to encourage my Challengers; motivate them to do better! They're not getting that badge until they finish the fight!" She grins.

"Morty said I was real close, basically one attack from winning if my Snorlax Essen hadn't missed so much. But I guess I'm glad I clearly beat your third badge team the second time around then, if that's your attitude! Not that I mind seeing you, of course, but your pokemon hit HARD. Very scary."
She giggles.
"Oh, you might be the person to ask. I'm taking May out to get her first pokemon tomorrow, hopefully if we can find it, and she's never had a pokemon before. I suppose we need to get her a trainer license or something so she's not in trouble?"

Whitney giggles. "Yup! Like I said before: My Pokemon are specially trained to hit as hard as possible. Miltank's natural strength and bulk combined with Normal-Type's lack of easily exploitable weaknesses is why I'm one of the toughest Gyms on the traditional path. Morty's a big ol' softy though. Hanging around those grandma ghosts will probably do that to ya." She nods sagely.
"Hm! Well, the Regional Professor is usually in charge of independent Trainer Licenses. The kind that your average Gym Challenger has. If May wants to be a regular Trainer like you, whether or not she participates in the Gym Challenge, that's who you'd talk to." Whitney begins. "Now, as a Gym Leader, I am allowed to hand out special permits to my Gym Trainers so they can capture Pokemon for the Gym. Usually though, these Gym Trainers were already regular Trainers before-hand. On the flip side though, I can probably give you a 'Beginner's License'. This lets you capture any Pokemon you want, but you can only hold up to three at a time. As opposed to the usual six. Usually, this License is given to children under the age of ten, but it's not restricted to them. It's great for easing yourself into the life of a Trainer."

"Y'know, I think Miltank vs Snorlax would be a fun fight to see. And probably pretty long, with Milk Drink and Rest in play, hahaha."
She listens to the explanation, and the Beginner license is perfect to start with!
"Well, that last one sounds perfect! I'm glad I asked you, I knew you could help Whitney! We could do that, and then May could catch the couple she wants. And then when she gets addicted, she goes 'Oh dear Victoria, I wish to challenge the gyms now, could you please ask Whitney to upgrade my license for she is awesome and helped us out the first time?' And then Whitney gives it, and then May travels with me and we both get all eight badges, we enter the silver conference and make it all the way to the finals and face each other even though neither of us want to beat the other!"
She wipes a faux-tear.
"It's all so romantic!"

All Victoria gets out of may is 'gurgle gurgle'. Like, she literally says 'gurgle gurgle'. This causes Whitney, who had been intrigued by how malleable May's body appears to be, to burst into laughter again and fall right off the couch. May seems pleased with herself.

Victoria feels a little funny when Whitney 'doesn't' try to cuddle with them, but May has been a little shy as the night started, so maybe that's for the best; throwing something questionable in there like that might be hard on May.
She sits on the guest bed and looks at May.

"Also you 'do' know I was really joking, right? As much as it'd be cool if you did wanna be a full trainer... Really all I want is for you to have fun having a Goomy of your own. Beyond that... is up to you! ...Although I will say it'll be nice to have somebody helping me out next time I enter an alternate world, haha."
Her hair falls in front of her eye, and she smirks.
"Though if you did do it and surpass me and go on to win, obviously I would then have to be part of the royal concubine for the Champ, hehe."
